I liked the video. Please don't disappoint with the AI 🙏 the visuals are great, im worried about the racing still. Im a sim fan, but this gave us a bigger demonstration on the arcade aspect of the game with the novice setting rather than the simulation aspect. I cant wait to see whats to come.
I fully understand your comment but a company can happily surprise fans by exceeding their expectations. Exceeding expectations require giving fans features they'll adore without being told anything.
I wouldn't mind having the same driving feel as the codemasters games. What I really want is proper steering wheel suppport and being able to ajust the fov and placement of the camera in cockpit view.
1:02 I think I speak for every NASCAR fan when I say this game would be a PERFECT fit for the NASCAR Thunder 2004 career mode. That game had just the cup series in career mode, and is easily the greatest career mode in any NASCAR game ever. hopefully this game shares at least a _little_ DNA from those old mid 2000's games if ya know what I mean ;)

first thing i notice is sonoma without the giant score tower and a bunch of trees that are not there, there are small trees by turn 10 and down the esses but none above turn 2/3-3a like it shows... hope that gets tweaked

Will we be able to control the car fully on pit road? And please tell me that when I hit the wall at 200 mph I will see more than a dinged fender. The lack of damage in previous installments is a huge disappointment.
Extremely impressed with what I see, and genuinely excited even though I'm not much of a NASCAR fan anymore. Even though I'm admittedly looking forward more to the Indycar game later down the road, I might get this too. I play rFactor 2 a lot, so having a physics system based off that, along with a authentic, officially licensed career mode sounds great.
I hope there's good pre race presentation like in the formula 1 games from codemasters.And a similar TV style replays with highlights.It looks promising though.
This looks promising so far. This game has the potential to be a solid nascar game. While I do expect it to not be fully realistic because it’s a console game, I expect it to be better then the heat games.

The setup menu looks to be only a slider based system from tight to loose, which maybe fine for the casual racing gamer, but it will deter many from picking up this game. Need to have a more detailed set up menu like old Papyrus Games.
It looks great. Sounds great. Seems they're advertising it as more sim than arcade in this video but I expect it to be just as simcade as GT5. If they do go more in the sim direction, they should still try to have the kind of bells and whistles that NASCAR Thunder had and then more. They should have classic cars so you can drive the Gen 4 cars. They should let you add night lights to any track. They should recreate the Thunder Fantasy tracks. They should have tons of unlockable, nostalgic paint schemes. They should steal the Wreckfest damage model. For 21, they should get the gameplay right first. But NASCAR 22 should be called NASCAR 22: Thunder and clearly pay homage to that series in a big way. Arcade people will buy a realistic simcade as long as there are exciting bells and whistles with some decent assist settings. The recipe for the best NASCAR Game ever is Customization + Nostalgia + Authenticity. So basically take Project Cars 2 and literally *every single feature* it has and combine it with NASCAR Thunder and iRacing, and then just make the vibe of it scream mURiCa. And then boom. It would stand out.
The only things I would ask for is a championship mode where we can run a normal or make are own schedule, and I also liked the super speedway racing from heat 5

Nice to see the rFactor 2 physics engine coupled with Unreal Engine for graphics. rFactor 2 works just fine with a controller with assists.

They won't have championship mode on the game,so they won't have custom season, but I do hope they add the clash, dules and All star race though
