Pro tip you can evade missle by notching. Imagine drawing a line from your self and foe who launched a missle. By notching you move parallel to point of origin therefore creating a right triangle. Missle work by trying to get in front of you so the follow the hypotenuse of right triangle your created. If remember your Geometry class a hypotenuse of right triangle is it's longest side. So by notching you force the missle to take the longest path to reach you. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the help, I have notched missiles accidentally under the knowledge that it can make the missile loose lock, but I was never smart enough to realize that it also puts more distance between you and the missile.
While you are making the missile do a bit more work, mostly you are trying to defeat the sensor by hiding in chaff or ground clutter. A good analogy is colour. Doppler radars see things moving towards them as blue, and things moving away as red, while stationary things like the ground or chaff are green. To hide in these you need to be make yourself green too, which means neither closing or running from the radar so that your doppler is the same as the stuff you are trying to hide in.
This is called Beaming, instead, Notching is a way to make missiles lose lock, by Beaming while being lower than the missile. Notching works because when your aircraft is perpendicular to the pitbulled missile, the radar waves that hit your aircraft are bounced off in a similar way as the terrain does (they are not stretched, like when you fly away from the missile or compressed, like when you fly towards the missile) so the missile can't tell the difference between you and the terrain. This only works when you are lower than the missile because, when you are higher than the missile, there is only the sky behind you, from the missile's perspective, instead, when you are lower than it there is also the terrain behind you.
For the heat seeking missiles (aim 9+, aim 9, airs-t) you can go into the storage menu, select the missile, and choose head tracking. Then, all you need to do to try and get a lock is to look at the enemy plane.
Personally im an atrocious vtol vr player but I must say if im awake when you stream VTOL VR i will join stream, and if you plan on doing a playing with viewers thing i will also be there if im awake and i know of it. You seem like a pretty good youtuber especially considering you have about 100 subscribers.

I would recommend the reverb G2 V2. Or if you have a bit of extra cash the varjo aero or Pimax 12kx. I wouldn't recommend the oculus quest 2. Low FOV. Ok Resolution, Terrible comfort, and just overall not a good company lol. However the quest 2 is still ok for vr and ontop of that it is quite cheap compared to most modern consumer headsets. It's your choice in the end, just wanted to make a couple recommendations because the quest 2 is not as immersive as most people say it it.

But if you find a comfortable strap I find it to be fine. Also, I found the resolution issue to be a bit of the headset not being in the right position and the head strap fixed this a bit (Although I haven't tried any other headsets, so others may be better). It is also recommended that you buy an additional cable for the quest 2 to link it to PC. And you also need a Facebook (or I guess Meta now) account to use the Oculus, something I don't like. But in the end, VTOL VR is a great game regardless on the head set you choose :)
I have not yet. My PC is honestly a little overkill for VTOL VR. Also I'm not much of a computer guy but: CPU: i7 (Typically I see people put a bunch of random digits and numbers here and idk why) GPU: 2070 RAM: 32 GB The headset is a quest 2, and I'm connected to the computer using a cable (can't remember the name of it)
@@WizardA380 ok quick rundown on the number on the cpu (let's take the i7-10700k for example) the i7 is just a common grouper and the first 2 or first digit is the generation of the cpu (so 10 means 10th generation) and the 700 is just another thing identifying it to be an i7 the k after means it is an unlucked chip (able to be overclocked) while there are some other letters they are there to specify what the chip can do and what it is like some of them specify it as a laptop chip
When i first started i joined a multiplayer mission and they got mad at me cause i didnt do any learning on cockpit functions even starting it lol i came from arma where i press a button and my engine starts lol
Yeah, I've seen quite a few people who do that, it just depends on the people in the lobby- some will be cool to help you out and some will publicly shame you. My hope now with the new aircraft is that when new players join someone can help them better.

With the recent updates to the mission editor it allows for infinit respawning of units so i figured combine free flight atc and pve into a training grounds complete with slots for wingman training aswell. That way vets who just want to casually play can give tips if they want to the new people who join it. Once dedicated servers start to appear this type of mission would be great for newbies. I was just too excited to jump in honestly. The games amazing for what one guy is doing.

On your MFD under "options" click "joystick mode." That toggles it between side and center.
