My S22 Ultra gets delivered tomorrow. Super excited for it. I went from the Note 10+ to the S21+. Not having the S Pen was real bummer for me. I found myself every day wishing I had it. Great video.

Dude Not gonna lie, Samsung was my first device on my 13th birthday. Now I have Apple because It's my first time using it at age 15. Over a year now, Apple it's getting boring so I decided to come back to Samsung because my first ever android of all time.

I have a 13 Pro Max and absolutely love it. I’ve always used Apple phones but honestly I’ve been thinking about switching to Android for a few years just to give it a shot.
As a long time Apple user, I think if you've got the money to splurge, you'll love Android. You have total complete freedom to set the phone up exactly the way you want. IOS has it's advantages, but at the cost freedom of customization. I still think the hardware is infinitely better on Apple, but this is where you have to make the choice of being walled in by Apple, or having unlimited customization with Android. Do you want a phone built like a Sherman tank,or like a Fisher Price toy?? The choice is yours, and whatever you choose,enjoy it!!
@@gr8tmuzic11 yea that’s a big thing that annoys me about iOS is the lack of customization. The new IOS 16 seems to be a good start in the direction for customization though which is dope. Still not even close to Android I’ll admit
It's going to be hard to compare this phone with other phones in the market, except the iPhone 14. This is because this phone is not only a beast but a monster in it's prime.

I'm a lefty love that the pen is on the left!! Wow that doesn't happen often a benefit for a lefty over a right hand. Pre ordered mine in green. Leaving my S21 ultra, using Samsung for 10+ plus years now after Leaving IPhone.
It's crazy how they still managed to cram so much novelty into the S22U: 4 major OS updates, 3 milisecond s-pen, nightography, super clear lens, sensor shift stabilization, 12bit HDR video, pro mode for all cameras, brightest and most color accurate screen on a phone, new haptics motor, new Cooling chamber
For a £1000+ phone I'd expect more
Basically like holding my Note 10+ which is still a great device in Feb. 2022. However, I had to upgrade to the 512g Black S22 Ultra 🤘

Me toooooo. Love my note 10+ but have been holding out on upgrading since they discontinued the note. Nothing else felt right and I didn't want to do the 20 just incase something like this happened. So freakin excited. The notes are in a league of their own. Can't live without them now. I got the burgundy. It looks gorgeous!

Ordered this phone on Friday as an upgrade to my S10. Should be here on Monday.
I used to hate the idea of phablets, having a small phone and an 8-inch tablet instead, but since Samsung has been focusing on larger and larger tablets, I find myself using my phone for most of my reading/annotating/studying. I have an S20 that I love but it's just too small now. I would have gotten a Note 21 if that had been possible, so I'm really happy about the S22 Ultra. Pre-ordered the white version. The S20 was my first flagship but I got it just before the S21 came out. This is gonna feel fancy
I just went from an iPhone 13 pro max to a galaxy s21 ultra 7 days ago. I have 16 days to decide about this phone. So far I absolutely love it. Now I really don’t know if I should have waited to get the s22 ultra. Man oh man what to do.
Return it for sure, why would you skip out on the hottest Samsung device. Just my opinion.

I guess I was hoping for a little bit more. I have the note 20 ultra which is a fantastic phone a bit larger at 6.9 inch screen the s22 ultra looks almost identical. Granted with some upgraded features I would say anyone that has the note 20 ultra really there’s no need to upgrade.

I prefer to name it simply "Note S22 Ultra" since this is obviously a hybrid of the 2 phone, but looking more of a note 20, hence the "note" word should remain in its name. For me, it looks like more of a Note 20 Ultra 5G including its size, shape, location of S pen, except for a bigger battery and other minimal upgrade.

With iPhone 13 pro it zooms in on close objects automatically. I always enjoyed my note 7 before the recall and I may switch back but not sure.
I don't think these TH-camrs understand how important it is to show - the - start - up! They used to do it back in the day! Nowadays they twirl the phone around while that PRETTY screen lights up!
I love the note series and I can't wait to get my hands on this beautiful piece of tech.

1,000 bucks and they can't even send a brick. Especially with the 45 W charging.

bUt LeSs PaCkAgInG even though you have to order it seperately now, which makes for 2 delivery trucks and 2 boxes that are often put in another box. Totally not doing it for the money or smth.

At the end of the year, this phone will win a lot of "Best phone of the year" awards. It is a beast. And I'd be all over it.....but a couple killers for me personally. Note look. I just hate the look of Note phones. Size, too big for my liking. Camera, while cool to show off once in a while, I feel it's a bit of a gimmick for day to day use. Good overview as always, Tim.

I love it, however there's one question I have, can this be used for astrophotography with nebulas, so for example, can it do very well in dark settings?
From what I've seen and what samsung advertises, it is the best phone in the market by a longshot for nightime photography. Can take pictures in stupidly dark rooms and the pixel and light sensor will pick up everything.
@@dt_052 If you have a S21 you should be able to achieve the same. From what i heard the hardware is mostly the same for the cameras, but the difference is software. They are likely waiting to get sales of S22, before pushing the update for S21.

don't worry about the Exynos SoC this time around. Seems to be performing very similarly to the SD variant, and it might outperform it even after a couple updates

Had s22 ultra since its launch only issues I'm having is the speakers I'm probably going to upgrade to s24 ultra I just hate curve displays
5:10 not sure how it was on the Note 20, but the phone is significantly thicker compared to my own Note 10, so I guess that helps the balancing lol. Kinda funny for makeshift videorecording if you don't have a tripod (and you can use the S Pen to start recording). Probably should survive it falling over on a table top, too.

Just a correction: Raw images are not new in S22 ultra. It is in my S20 ultra out of the box.

I went from updating my phone every other year to not wanting to update until I have too. It feels like such a rip off to not get headphones and charger anymore.
This looks absolutely amazing besides the lack of headphone port, killed any interest for me when the note 10 came out and especially kills it for me here when there's so much space for it along the bottom and top

The "Raw-Picture" file / option is on the S21+ aswell so I think it will be one the S22 & S22+
Most these features exist in most other Android devices stock camera apps, hyper lapse/time lapse, slow mode/ white balance adjustments also while recording, raw, exposure control also while recording etc.Pixel 6 pro etc.. Directors view not on every device though out of box. I like their portrait video as well. Want to see it in action more.

Most of the time people are watching videos on their phone. I doubt anyone really can notice 8K off their phones. They should have made it so when android sends a video to iPhone we can see it in HD instead of pixels.
That's an apple side problem because they force mms texts between us and their texts and sent videos stay within their imessage cloud. Apple could easily fix this but won't because it allows American apple users to bully their friends into buying an iPhone.
