After using Note 10 + for almost 3 years, I have to admit that the pen functions are just awesome. But since I don't really use it, I just settled for S22 plus this time. Good enough for me and having the white one does look really good. Atleast for my eyes 😉.
I had the note 10+ as well and since I didn't use spen like it's meant for, I sent it back & purchased the s20+. I will be trading it in for the white s22+. Unfortunately, i have to wait until mid April to receive mine.
I got my s22 ultra from my Note 10+ because my note 10+ was getting some signs of wear and tear such as the battery draining a little fast, S pen air actions not functioning and charging glitch of the s pen. I decided to make a trade in with my carrier
I'm really enjoying my Galaxy S22 Ultra and I especially like the matte finish on the back. A couple of these features of the S-PEN I didn't even know about. Thanks Ella for another informative video.

I just got my S22 Ultra yesterday. I'm up dating from a Note 8. I am looking forward to trying out the cameras. There is one design I don't like and that is the location of the S-pen. On the older Note phones it is on the right side. Being right handed, I found it easier to get to.

Just ordered s22 ultra from google fi. They are offering $300 off the s22 ultra and will give me $505 for my iPhone 13 mini. Total $805. Couldn’t Pass the deal up since I paid $699 for my iPhone. I left the s21 ultra for iPhone 13 to take advantage of ecosystem with my Mac but I miss the Samsung so much. I don’t care about IMessage. I don’t care to be interrupted on my Mac with all that stuff. I miss the versatility of the cameras, the customization , ease of access to settings, better widgets, google assistance, etc. Now Samsung offers 5 years security updates! I’ll use the MacBook for Logic and Final cut but my phone needs to be Samsung. My only concern is battery and curved display. Coming from iPhone mini though, I don’t think battery will be an issue. I couldn’t kill the battery in a day on the mini.
I've been enjoying my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra white phone with 512GB SSD and 12GB DDR5X RAM. The weird thing is the apps on your phone chew a lot through that 12GB RAM. The battery lasts 2 days if put on standard power saving, or a full day with no power saving and heaps of on-screen time. Exposure using the ultra wide camera is better and more stable than the S10+.
You are lucky. My S22 Ultra also has 512Gb and 12Gb, but runs on Exynos. I bet yours has a Snapdragon. According to Accubatttery Pro, a full charge gives 6 hrs 6 minutes of screen on time (or a consumption rate of 16% per hour). My S10e did 10 to 11% per hour and I was complaining about the poor battery life. I find myself charging it a little bit a few times per day. Also, I limit my charge to 85% to limit dégradation. (Accubatttery Pro results above are given for a 100% battery charge). Other than that and the weight/volume of this phone, it is incredibly useful to me.
Love my S22 Ultra too. And I am happy for everything inside and out. Updated from S10+ which was a beast of phone but crushed the display for the last time and it made me buy earlier my S22 Ultra 😂
You can also take a picture of a document and translate it in any language, open the picture in gallery, Press the eye icon in the gallery then press the T icon... highlight the words... Translate, Cut and please 📖

@@krakenNation You clearly haven't used an Android phone... ever. My Galaxy S9+ is still extremely fast AND has an insane amount of multitasking features. An iPhone could be never so productive and "fast".
I got the s22 Ultra on 4/8... I had the 12 Pro Max and was bored of it within the first 2 months of getting it.... Not to mention the pacific blue got soo depressing to look at that it made me dislike the 12 pro max even more.... I got the Ultra in 512 GB/Black.... Im loving it so much and the camera is absolutely amazing~

This really isn't different from the Note 10+ (like air actions, screen off writing, etc) but honestly that's what I'm looking for! I've had my note 10 plus since it came out and recently broke it so I think I'll be good with this!
I just ordered a new S22 Ultra and find your video very helpful in sorting out the really cool features. I in particular like the feature of using the S-pen to write on photos and screen captures. Your tempo is great and you speak very clearly and appreciated your video. Keep up performing demos and reviews.
I currently own a S21. But thinking about upgrading to the S22 Ultra. One thing you didn't mention. The galaxy phones have object eraser. Let you erase an object in your photos. Can't do that on any iPhone. Second I still prefer using the finger sensor to unlock my phone. Iphones don't have that. And iPhone always have that ugly notch. Not great for screening movies and watching videos. That's the reason I will never buy a iPhone.

Hey Ella, Quick Info, you can sync samsung notes wirh Microsoft one note, on that way you have the Quick Response time on the Phone and you can Keep on the work on your computer.
The S22 ultra is an interesting pone and I have already upgraded from my note 10 Plus, to the S22 ultra Mercedes-Benz black AKA phantom black. The S pen is what I really need it.
I love all of the features of it, especially all of what the SPen can do as far as multitasking with it. This week I shall be getting the S22 Ultra in Burgundy color with 256GB from Best Buy

I purchased the s22 ultra but my battery life is pretty poor, despite the phone set to adaptive battery mode, no apps running in the background, etc. I used the phone moderately, no games or intensive usage, only social media, texting and emails. I’m maxing out at 4 hours of on screen time and I’m disappointed with the battery life. Am I the only one experiencing this? Besides the battery, I do like the phone.
Im getting 5-5.5hrs SOT but ive only had the phone for a few days. Samsung recommends to give the phone a weeks time to learn your patterns and then adapt to your usage. You might want to return it before the 14day trial window.

Great video. I have used the screen off S-Pen notes for a while but didn't remember you could pin to the always on screen. I thought it was interesting that One Note on your phone had latency. I have zero noticeable latency on mine with OneNote. Maybe a reboot?
If you've never used an s pen you'll really like it I have the Note 10 plus really love it although I'm trading it in for the s22 ultra which is a note of course even if they don't call it that and I love notes especially their square edges

Got the S22 Ultra as an upgrade and had no clue about the phone. Thank you for explaining the new features in a very simple and direct manner. The pen features will be a huge help at my new job where I have to process a lot of info and take notes in meetings. You're pretty smile was a big bonus. :D
The Smart Select is great for school, self study, or jobs. You can take a picture of a powerpoint presentation or screen grab a article, then the software asks to extract the text and allows pasting into separate notes. Cuts down on work dramatically
Great video, and no background music is a bonus. I use the s pen every day, and wouldn't want to be without it now, (used it since the note 2) You have a very easy to listen to voice, makes a change from certain you tubers who feel they have to shout at the camera to be heard.
Any feedback on the cosmetic aspect of the phone. Some reviewers say that the S22 Ultra easily scratches just by putting it in the pocket without any other hard items inside.
This is why im waiting for Vodafone Hungary. Been months and still didn't released yet.. I think the final release will happening after April, i checked on Samsung czech's page.

Can someone tell me where to find a decent MATTE FINISH screen protector for this phone? I love my S22 Ultra but no film seems to want to stick to its rounded screen edges.
I switched my vanilla Galaxy S21 to Galaxy S22 Ultra (Phantom White). I have the European variant (yeah... Exynos) and the whole UI is stuttering constantly even after March update. 120 Hz 1440p mode is just not stable yet. I don't know if this is just Exynos SoC issue. It is kinda frustrating to spend 1299€ and in practice we are not talking about the same phone compared to Snapdragon variant. At least cameras are top notch this time! Battery life is okay.
There is a new update. I downloaded it yesterday. I was having problems with freezing after trying to unlock with the fingerprint sensor. I haven't seen that problem so far
I really got disappointed by Samsung 😡.. I purchased S22 ultra on Jan 2023 and now my mobile display got some ghost image and after visiting Samsung service center they ask me permission to do calibration to remove ghost images but after several attempt by samsung engineer the issue got increased nd finally samsung engineer recommended for new display change nd they changed new display too but still the issue not resolved they asked for two days time now which means 04.07.2023 tuesday will be getting update from samsung.. waste of purchasing Samsung products.. same thing happen with my Samsung 55" 4k TV (55BU8000). USELESS PRODUCT FROM SAMSUNG NOT VALUE FOR MONEY.
If using Note 20 Ultra, this is like downgrade except for the minor enhancement in the camera and display 120hz.. US version don't support dual physical SIM, one eSIM and one physical nano SIM. It's freaking heavier. I just returned it to Samsung and kept my Note 20....it's still the best ...0.1 inch bigger makes difference.

Hello. Why is it that almost no one mentions/talks about the fact that the Samsung S22 Ultra only takes 16:9 photos in 9 mega pixels? Or that even today's mobile camera does not have a real 16:9 image sensor but most if not all still have a 4:3 almost square image sensor? Huawei honor 8 from 2016 has 9 mega pixels in 16:9 There is slightly less image noise on samsung s22 ultra and better pictures in low light environments compared to Honor8 I am disappointed that normal photos taken with the S22 do not have at least 12 mega pixels in 16:9 16:9 the picture is cropped a little in height (cheat 16:9) and in 1:1 picture format, more of the picture is cropped away and you have to stand even further back.
Dear Samsung, Why there is no IR feature which doesn't requires much troubles to be added in these lovable devices but is quite useful for many users... And why it's SAR value is above 0.3 ( not a healthy thing ). I m using Note 10 plus which is a very nice package with s pen and low SAR value !!! Again... pls add IR port on top side of your all next high end/ flagship devices.
Be careful buying this phone. The s21 has mobile network issues,weak signal or just loses connection all together. I cannot rely on mine to make/receive phone calls. This issue is affecting ALOT of users. I have had this issue since September. Samsung refuse to acknowledge the problem. Google 's21 network issue' or something along the lines of. Seems to be the Exynos version with most reported problems.

Your english is impecable, very clear. But there are some features that I never Everton find explanations... like how to write on photos easily. Let's see if am clear I take a photo of an empty room and draw some furniture, or a photo of some pipes in an industry and make some notes. I am talking about really professional stuff that it would be nice to be explained how this phone can be a handy tool.

I wish Samsung will make a smaller S ultra. Like the galaxy S 23plus will have Spen too and the same camera specs. All the specs and features are the same. Just like the iphone pro and pro max. That is for people who like smaller phone but top of the line specs

How do I get that wallpaper back? That was the wallpaper when I was looking at the phone in the store, but it got changed to something boring in the process of copying my stuff from my old phone. I don't see it as an option when I look at available wallpapers under themes.
What will really be impressive if Samsung can make a phone with decent battery life and doesn't hang up and crash. But in doing this they would have to get rid of the Samsung bloatware.

Another Note... the S21 Ultra supports S-Pen also. If you get the S-pen pro which is also used for the fold you can use air actions, but the regular spen does not support air actions. But almost all the other features it does support. They even make cases that have spent holders on the outside of the S21 Ultra. I use mine all the time especially for note taking or drawing on pics/screenshots
Hi ella I got a question how i get my phone to take pictures with my s pen it won't work or take pictures on my phone and keeps disconnecting when I take out the s pen Is there a way to get the pen to work fully mines won't do anything I'm not sure what's going on I tried doing fanart of bts and other stuff it doesn't let me do that is there a way to make your s pen work and connect mines isn't doing it for me plus its very frustrating

I currently own a S21. But thinking about upgrading to the S22 Ultra. One thing you didn't mention. The galaxy phones have object eraser. Let you erase an object in your photos. Can't do that on any iPhone. Second I still prefer using the finger sensor to unlock my phone. Iphones don't have that. And iPhone always have that ugly notch. Not great for screening movies and watching videos. That's the reason I will never buy a iPhone.

Hey Ella, Quick Info, you can sync samsung notes wirh Microsoft one note, on that way you have the Quick Response time on the Phone and you can Keep on the work on your computer.
The S22 ultra is an interesting pone and I have already upgraded from my note 10 Plus, to the S22 ultra Mercedes-Benz black AKA phantom black. The S pen is what I really need it.
Same upgrade for me 😊 Note10+ to S22 Ultra... best decision made!

I purchased the s22 ultra but my battery life is pretty poor, despite the phone set to adaptive battery mode, no apps running in the background, etc. I used the phone moderately, no games or intensive usage, only social media, texting and emails. I’m maxing out at 4 hours of on screen time and I’m disappointed with the battery life. Am I the only one experiencing this? Besides the battery, I do like the phone.
Im getting 5-5.5hrs SOT but ive only had the phone for a few days. Samsung recommends to give the phone a weeks time to learn your patterns and then adapt to your usage. You might want to return it before the 14day trial window.

Great video. I have used the screen off S-Pen notes for a while but didn't remember you could pin to the always on screen. I thought it was interesting that One Note on your phone had latency. I have zero noticeable latency on mine with OneNote. Maybe a reboot?

If you've never used an s pen you'll really like it I have the Note 10 plus really love it although I'm trading it in for the s22 ultra which is a note of course even if they don't call it that and I love notes especially their square edges

The Smart Select is great for school, self study, or jobs. You can take a picture of a powerpoint presentation or screen grab a article, then the software asks to extract the text and allows pasting into separate notes. Cuts down on work dramatically
Great video, and no background music is a bonus. I use the s pen every day, and wouldn't want to be without it now, (used it since the note 2) You have a very easy to listen to voice, makes a change from certain you tubers who feel they have to shout at the camera to be heard.
Any feedback on the cosmetic aspect of the phone. Some reviewers say that the S22 Ultra easily scratches just by putting it in the pocket without any other hard items inside.
This is why im waiting for Vodafone Hungary. Been months and still didn't released yet..
I think the final release will happening after April, i checked on Samsung czech's page.

I switched my vanilla Galaxy S21 to Galaxy S22 Ultra (Phantom White). I have the European variant (yeah... Exynos) and the whole UI is stuttering constantly even after March update. 120 Hz 1440p mode is just not stable yet. I don't know if this is just Exynos SoC issue. It is kinda frustrating to spend 1299€ and in practice we are not talking about the same phone compared to Snapdragon variant. At least cameras are top notch this time! Battery life is okay.
There is a new update. I downloaded it yesterday. I was having problems with freezing after trying to unlock with the fingerprint sensor. I haven't seen that problem so far
@@Mike.Tech. Yeah that update was huge (1.4 GB). Now phone is much more stable and overall performance is also better.
Had mine for a few days and loving it! So many features and super fast. Taking photos and viewing them on the 1440p screen is eye candy 😊
I really got disappointed by Samsung 😡.. I purchased S22 ultra on Jan 2023 and now my mobile display got some ghost image and after visiting Samsung service center they ask me permission to do calibration to remove ghost images but after several attempt by samsung engineer the issue got increased nd finally samsung engineer recommended for new display change nd they changed new display too but still the issue not resolved they asked for two days time now which means 04.07.2023 tuesday will be getting update from samsung.. waste of purchasing Samsung products.. same thing happen with my Samsung 55" 4k TV (55BU8000).

Nationwide deal with AT&T is $800 trade in for ANY "S" Series Galaxy phone. I just found out. Even if you have a cracked S2, you get the $800.
If using Note 20 Ultra, this is like downgrade except for the minor enhancement in the camera and display 120hz.. US version don't support dual physical SIM, one eSIM and one physical nano SIM. It's freaking heavier. I just returned it to Samsung and kept my Note 20....it's still the best ...0.1 inch bigger makes difference.

Hello. Why is it that almost no one mentions/talks about the fact that the Samsung S22 Ultra only takes 16:9 photos in 9 mega pixels?
Or that even today's mobile camera does not have a real 16:9 image sensor but most if not all still have a 4:3 almost square image sensor?
Huawei honor 8 from 2016 has 9 mega pixels in 16:9
There is slightly less image noise on
samsung s22 ultra and better pictures in low light environments compared to Honor8
I am disappointed that normal photos taken with the S22 do not have at least 12 mega pixels in 16:9
16:9 the picture is cropped a little in height (cheat 16:9) and in 1:1 picture format, more of the picture is cropped away and you have to stand even further back.
Dear Samsung, Why there is no IR feature which doesn't requires much troubles to be added in these lovable devices but is quite useful for many users... And why it's SAR value is above 0.3 ( not a healthy thing ). I m using Note 10 plus which is a very nice package with s pen and low SAR value !!! Again... pls add IR port on top side of your all next high end/ flagship devices.
Be careful buying this phone. The s21 has mobile network issues,weak signal or just loses connection all together. I cannot rely on mine to make/receive phone calls. This issue is affecting ALOT of users. I have had this issue since September. Samsung refuse to acknowledge the problem. Google 's21 network issue' or something along the lines of. Seems to be the Exynos version with most reported problems.
If you have truncated text in apps, you can hover over it with the S pen to show the full text. Works for items in notification shade too
That's the biggest phone i've ever seen, i worry that might get a bit cumbersome for everyday use

Your english is impecable, very clear. But there are some features that I never Everton find explanations... like how to write on photos easily. Let's see if am clear I take a photo of an empty room and draw some furniture, or a photo of some pipes in an industry and make some notes. I am talking about really professional stuff that it would be nice to be explained how this phone can be a handy tool.

How do I get that wallpaper back? That was the wallpaper when I was looking at the phone in the store, but it got changed to something boring in the process of copying my stuff from my old phone. I don't see it as an option when I look at available wallpapers under themes.

The S22 series gorilla glass is one of the easiest to break so far.
Another Note... the S21 Ultra supports S-Pen also. If you get the S-pen pro which is also used for the fold you can use air actions, but the regular spen does not support air actions. But almost all the other features it does support. They even make cases that have spent holders on the outside of the S21 Ultra. I use mine all the time especially for note taking or drawing on pics/screenshots

Hi ella I got a question how i get my phone to take pictures with my s pen it won't work or take pictures on my phone and keeps disconnecting when I take out the s pen Is there a way to get the pen to work fully mines won't do anything I'm not sure what's going on I tried doing fanart of bts and other stuff it doesn't let me do that is there a way to make your s pen work and connect mines isn't doing it for me plus its very frustrating
