Arctic Redpoll - Witstuitbarmsijs

An Arctic or Hoary Redpoll (Acanthis hornemanni) is a rare vagrant to the Netherlands. I believe the bird in the video is of the subspecies exilipes, also called Coues' Redpoll. It was hard to see its characteristic pale rump, let alone capture it on video. It was among a group of 10-20 Common Redpolls (Grote Barmsijzen / Acanthis flammea). Some of the latter also had pretty white/pale rumps. Towards the end of the video I included examples of that, but I may be mistaken. Please let me know in the comments if I am wrong. Filmed in Blaricum, The Netherlands, on February 27, 2024.
