    I’ve seen sable, hyena, elephants, and the funniest baboons ever near the Kop. A favourite camp.

    I was in Kruger in 1986-87 a couple times and then in 2002. I can't even remember all the camps we were at but we were banned from one of them for making too much drunken noise. In -87 I saw several shooting stars. It's a great place and I enjoy your videos.

    I like the H-2-2 Voortrekker road. Had luck with dogs, lions and leopards often there

      I like it too, especially around Ship Mountain (which is where that leopard walked into the road). Just a pity it’s so corrugated 😣

    An honest review of the camp, I have such fond memories of this place from when I was a youngster I think the only way they will get people there now is to open the roads up more around the camp maybe start with a new direct road to Berg en Dal and Malelane Gate hugging the Nsikazi River, I mean they have the private tracks there already so they should open them up further for public... that would be a great Leopard viewing area just like Berg en Dal. Hopefully one day hey...

      I agree - more roads would definitely help and that H2-2 is currenly VERY corrugated 😣

      @@TheSafariExpert yeah I just had the same experience in April, not to mention the state of the Voortrekker & Komapiti water holes roads which are so rutted out I nearly didn't make it out in the Urban Cruiser I was in... I had to tell some people in a sedan to reverse out rather than risk it... adventure hey... we love it...

    These Kruger videos are far more relevant to most people than fancy lodges in private game reserves. Yes, a few with deep pockets may travel to the likes of Mashatu(Botswana), but far more will actually travel to South Africa to places they can afford because of content like this. Mate, jump over the fence line and do vids on Pridelands(sorry if you have already). Birding on HWE is awesome, including the local vulture nest. Blyde River Canyon cruise, Jessica the Hippo, flight safari's from Hoedspruit, quad bike safari's... and so much more....Heck, I'm happy to hook you up with the owner of a place near town that is both a wildlife reserve(Golden Wildebeest/Eland and more) and where a bunch of the team from Mission Impossible stayed because the owner has a Heli pad....

    Transport Dam in that area is pleasant to drive to... pack the sandwiches, left over braai meat, drinks. Sit at Transport dam and see what animals go to drink there...

    Excellent video Villers! I enjoyed your reviews of the Kruger camps very much, they are very useful, as I am planning a trip to Southafrica soon. BTW, do you know what is the latest check-in time at these camps? Is it the gate closing time of the camp or is it earlier? Thanks a lot

    • @TheSafariExpert
      @TheSafariExpert  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. As far as I know, reception stays open until the camp gates close, which means you should be able to check in that late.

    Jy is my hero as jy eendag vir my die skugter Kaapse Luiperd kan wys. Hom probeer uitruik in Bainskloof, maar nooit gesien nie. Hy het MY gesien, verseker! Hulle val nie mense aan nie; van my vriende het hulle teëgekom in Slanghoek en by Goudini Spa. Ek en Maja die mak rescue rooikat het sy spoor gekruis tussen Worcester se Karootuine en Fairy Glen. Ons was saam met die legendariese Geoff Dyer, wildbewaarder en ysbeervanger.

      You get leopards down in Plettenburg Bay (W Cape) upstream on the Keurbooms River if your interested... Good luck

      @@OnlineopticsCoUk We have them all over the Western Cape indeed. They are just very private animals and rather hide. I wish someone could re-introduce them to Table Mountain NP, as the 11 over protected Chacma baboon troops are a menace with no natural enemies.
