Almost 4 years later is when I'm getting to know about this song, through a work colleague. I don't have a son yet, but i do have a baby brother that has been in my arms since he was days old. I actively see all the societal norms that tell him to not cry when he falls or hurts himself, to not behave or feel a certain way because he's a boy. I don't even tolerate that whether from our mother or grandmother. I tell him, cry all want, scream if you want to. Talk about your feelings, your thoughts. Tell me everything, when you think there's no one to listen I'm here. Because at the end of the day we're all human, with thoughts and feelings regardless of gender. And there is power in embracing the things that make you weak. Because then no one will ever use them against you. Thank you for this masterpiece Abel Chungu❤

Bruh......its true......African men are not expected 2 cry.....for example....when my mom died ....everyone kept looking at my dad .....waiting 4 him to cry...but he didn't.....publicly anyway.....but....much love from ....Uganda....God bless u 4 yo voice....coz u be speaking facts...
This is a message for all women. Let us break the chains of oppression and suppression, and give our men a free will to express themselves in whatever way they deem appropriate if it is through their tears so be it . Big up Abel for standing up for men.
Listening from + 254 Kenya! This is beautiful🖤
I listen to this beautiful song every day & I find myself in tears cos when my mother died I saw my big brother holding back tears just so he would be strong for me but with that his never been the same again so after I came across this song my story has changed I have started encouraging my husband & son that it's ok to cry & let out..
Funny thing is my siblings have been going through this for years suddenly I am only realizing now and it is too late. Thank you for the song Abel the words have hit a nail on MY head. Love it, Men are also emotional and we need to realize that and be more sensitive. 😍😍😍😍
