k honestly, this is the mattress review I've been searching for, I know I'm late to the video! I (150lbs female) have a herniated disc in my back and am looking to replace my current, very old, very saggy Ikea mattress, but all the mattress reviews on here are done by very slim people who don't even lay on the bed! Thank you for making something honest and informative. I will probably go with the 12 inch as I am a side sleeper.
I truly appreciate your mattress reviews. Your approach comes across as genuine and it appears you truly put time, thought and effort in each of your reviews. Question: Walmart carries a couple of Lucid brand mattresses, one of which appears to be VERY similar to this one, except it is 11 inches instead of 10 inches ("Lucid 11 Inch Energy Premium Support and Innerspring Hybrid Mattress"). What can you tell us about the two? Are the 10 inch and 11 inch exactly the same mattress just with a little less/more foam or spring height? What do you think of an 11 inch version for $50 less than the 10 inch version? I understand the 12 inch version of this same mattress has the extra foam layer you spoke of, but I don't see one listed on the 11 inch version from Walmart.
Ray -- Thanks for the kind words!!! Through your comment, I just learned of the Wal-Mart 11 inch version. I will check it out, and plan to get back to you! Come back here and post another comment in a week or so if you've not heard from me by then!!!
Need to update your note on the warranty, the indentations have to be 1.5 inches or more for any warranty coverage......I will say after having the 10inch latex for 5 years it went from amazing to terrible within a month with just a 1/2 inch indentation
i cannot decide between the lucid 10 inch latex hybid and the lucid 10 inch latex foam. have you tried both? would a bed with no springs last longer? there are more reviews on amazon for the latex foam version but oddly less video reviews on youtube on them. most of the reviews on youtube are for the hybrid.
Hi baesterr! Everything I've read and observed is that a hybrid will generally last longer than an all foam or foam/latex mattress. But, that's a generalization. I have not tried the latex/foam version, sorry. Good luck, and thanks for commenting and subscribing!
Hi Dug. Here again. I am picking my LUCID 10 Inch Twin Latex Hybrid Mattress up at the post office later today and if you see this in time would you be able to answer if you know approx how much it weighs? I am wondering if I should bring someone to help with it. I can't find the info anywhere and no reply from Lucid yet. It was supposed to be delivered to my door but it was left at the PO so I never needed to know the weight of it until now at the last minute. LOL The twin mattress.
@@DugrozReports Since I got you involved in my mattress fiasco I wanted to update you and let you know it wasn't there as it was supposed to be. Hey man I'm trying to decide between the 10 and the 12-inch version of this mattress. If you help me out I'll use your affiliation link to purchase it. I'm about the same size as you 5'11 230 lbs. I have lower back pain issues so I need a firmer mattress but I'm also a combination sleeper. I know I probably can't go wrong with either one but what would be your recommendation?
Sounds like a good idea to me. The link in the description will take you to both (10" and 12"). If you aren't in a hurry, I'm going to review the 12", but may be 3-4 weeks before the video is ready. Thanks!
@@dugroz Great review BTW. Your reviews of the 10 and 12 inch latex Lucid mattress are what convinced me to buy one. I was tempted to get a Zinus but after some more reading and research on the internet communications connectivity and multi-media consumption machine I discovered there is a class action lawsuit against them by thousands of people due to the fiber glass in the mattress getting out and effecting their breathing, their skin, their furniture and so on. Many people even had to move out of their homes while their houses were cleaned.
@@dugroz you should try to be honest about your weight in these videos as it's important to how the mattress feels to you and how it may feel to others. Great review overall.
dugroz thank you. Have your done any reviews on the natural latex mattresses like eco Terra or similar. Interested in these since it seems Ike many less chemicals are used in them.
You can view it however you want, but here's a little context: I paid for this mattress myself in full. The only way I get any compensation is if you use the link in the description box or the corner, go to Amazon, and before clicking on anyone else's link, but the mattress. If you do, I get a 3% commission. For several years, when I upload a video, TH-cam asks me if the video includes a product placement or promotion. Anytime I have an Amazon link in the description box, I have checked "yes." I suppose I could have thought that an optional Amazon link isn't a "product placement" and said no, but in the spirit of an abundance of caution, I did check yes. Then, about 6 months ago, TH-cam made that little "paid promotion" appear in the corner for anyone who checked the yes box (they never did before). Just note that when it says "includes a paid promotion," it's basically an honesty test. Thanks.
@@dugroz thank you for explaining. I have watched at least 50 TH-cam videos so I can get an idea on a mattress. I'm overweight and need to know which ones wouldn't sag. I appreciate your time of explaining. Thank you.

Doug you might want to move up to the 12inch on the Hybrid Memory Foam version which isn't that sinky compared to the majority.
I think I agree! I plan to review all 4 in the hybrid series by Lucid at some point.

12" review done!!! - th-cam.com/video/t85EC4uaqsU/w-d-xo.html
Is the 10 inch one good for light weight side sleeper?
It might be too firm for a light-weight person. If you like very firm, do the 10 inch. Otherwise, do the 12 inch!
you mean hybrid like a liger?
Yes. Exactly like that. ;)
great review thanks
Would the 12 inch be counterproductive in sex? I've heard the full memory foam ones are so idk about the hybrids
There's no spring assist in memory foam but if she's good enough you'll never know the difference 👍🚬
@@saiga1200buck the hybrids have springs. But the amount of memory foam makes me slightly skeptical.
I've had temperpedic for many years. Hybrid seems to be the middle ground in terms of bounce and ease of motion
I get 1/2 inch indentation from beauty rest in 21 nights, so I am probably fine with this lol
