Camping with our Puppy - Linda Lake Algonquin

On this adventure we head into Algonquin Park for some canoe camping with our Alaskan Malamute puppy, Lucy. Starting from Source Lake we paddle and portage north to Linda Lake and spend the night camping with our puppy. This was Lucy's second canoe trip and she enjoyed the camping experience.

Hey Andrea! Ya the shoulder season can be hard for doing any sort of trips...we want to get out on a hot tenting trip this week but there's not enough snow to pull toboggans and Paige isn't keen on cold camping. We might end up doing some hot tent car camping...Lucy has definitely been close to tipping the canoe, hopefully as she gets bigger, heavier and lazier she'll sit still more often. After a portage or 2 she's usually pretty tired and falls asleep. Thank you for following our adventures!

You’re a trooper for fishing in that rain. Lucy was so calm when you landed that bass. I have yet to get my dog to lie down in the canoe, lol. Kudos to you guys for putting a life jacket on Lucy, my Lab loves hers 😊

Understandably, Paige was getting a little impatient, the wind was ripping pretty hard too haha packed the rod away after that. Ya, Lucy cared a lot less about the fish than I thought she would, maybe once she figures out how tasty they are she'll be more interested. We've never seen her swim, I'm sure can, but she always has it on in the canoe. We'll need to upgrade to a bigger and better one next season, which type do you use for your Lab?
