I played it so much that I found hard mode a joke. I eventually created a map in the mapmaker where it's you against 100 sentrybots (15 active at any one time), with no ammo drops besides what you could crib off enemies. Current objective: Survive And yes, this was the music track for the map.
@@toadofsteel Dare I ask how many hours it took to get to that skill level? Probably less than me, I'm not the greatest at games and by the time I hit 100% I felt pretty accomplished. Too bad Retroracer is kinda underwhelming.
@@mikeb8441 TS2 and Morrowind were pretty much the only games I played in high school (aside from the Kotor games a little bit). Logged over 1000 hours in both.
Atomsmasher on hard had me trapped for a while. I thought getting all 66 platinum medals was easier than that. And yeah, retroracer was my least favorite of the 3.
Now that I think about it, it's probably because the bassline sounds like a muffled motor noise. If you haven't noticed, most machines in games DON'T make motor noises unless they are part of a vehicle of some sort. If they are bosses, not usually, at least not something consistent, deep, and loud like this. Plus, there's something about that muffled effect that just makes it seem more powerful to me. It's settled, evil machines need more motor sounds in video games. Wouldn't you agree?
TBH the boss was intimidating enough due to that short wait and the noises you hear before the door opens, the actual sight of it when the doors opened, the 2 ChassisBots infrequently teleporting in and the sound of this track. Then there's the fact the Robot Factory was a looooong level, so if you died you'd have to replay half the level again (which was so damn time-consuming on hard mode).
Protip: 1) Load the Automatron DLC for Fallout 4 2) Get to mechanist boss encounter 3) Play this music during fight for your life against hundreds of robots.
It stands for "to be honest". Yeah hard mode on Timesplitters 2 is pretty frustrating. God help you on Atomsmasher and Robot Factory XD. Timesplitters: Future Perfect's hard mode is a cakewalk compared to 2's.
I could barely hear this music over the robot's noise, but the baseline was easy to hear, to the point that I actually listened to this here to see if it was actually part of the robot's noises. XD Seriously though, if that baseline were actually one of the noises made by that robot, it would make that boss seem a crapton more intimidating when you think about it.
I was actually gonna tackle hard mode after listening to this...and then I realized I had to play through all the other levels on Hard mode first. Still haven't beaten the first one on hard mode yet for various reasons, particularly those snipers that keep showing up when I'm NOT looking at their window. XD Oh well, it's not my game anyway, but my friend's, and I plan to return it as soon as he lets me borrow Baten Kaitos from him. Out of curiosity, I forget what TBH means. Enlighten me?
Then, behind Pyramid Head comes a giant metal-eating machine tearing the whole place apart! It's just all OM NOM NOM through the whole building as Pyramid Head charges down the hall with 2 swords slicing the walls in half as he runs. And the elevator is your only way out XD
To be fair PixelTail would have to get the rights for the tracks since Tower Unite is a standalone game and not a total conversion mod like Tower in Garry's Mod.
10 years later, and this song still kicks ass
Technically 16 years ago.
Timesplitters 2 on hard is easily one of the most difficult FPS experiences ever.

It's easily hard. It's hardly easy lol

Listen to this while playing DooM...wow...all the monsters and what-not you have to kill... goes perfect with this.
And this music still sounds to me like one heck of an evil machine. I LOVE IT.
Like, hes chargin at you, you push a button for the elevator, and its 12 floors away! OMFG I WOULD SCREAM LIKE CRAZY!!
I loved when this music kicked in as you were waiting to fight the Machinist boss in the Robot Factory
The remix is still the absolute best!

Play this at the underground warehouse parties in L.A.
Had the same thought.
If they played this at the industrial club I'd be so happy.. Such an awesome beat!
best music in gaming history
THE MOST SAVAGE TRACK EVER MADE PERIOD. READY TO FIGHT AYONE WHO DARE TO SAY OTHERWISE.
Protip:

"Now you shall face the full might of the Dark Machinist Child. Come my Chassis bots, let's finish this... " 🤖
Just installed Fallout 4 YEARS later and you gave me an epic idea.
I see Fallout 4....I see comment from 8 years ago...I cry a little bit.

2 is the only one I've played, so I wouldn't know. XD I just realized, I would LOVE to hear this tune in a movie. o_O
Fun fact: This is in the version of TS2 in Homefront The Revolution.
Homefront has this track too??

Neo Tokyo can be a pain as well, purely because one wall glitching police vehicle and you're buggered

I swear, sometimes industrial music sounds more machine-like than the sounds made by machines in video games. XD

Isnt this the start song at the boss fight in robot factory?
I want this music to play in the club so the disco lights changes colors
Then, behind Pyramid Head comes a giant metal-eating machine tearing the whole place apart! It's just all OM NOM NOM through the whole building as Pyramid Head charges down the hall with 2 swords slicing the walls in half as he runs. And the elevator is your only way out XD
Am I the only one who thinks this song sounds like it belongs in a System Shock game or something? :P Epic!
Best revenge music.

To be fair PixelTail would have to get the rights for the tracks since Tower Unite is a standalone game and not a total conversion mod like Tower in Garry's Mod.

Better than dubstep....but really....what electronic music isn't better than the awful dubstep trash? R.I.P. good electronic music.
+King Nopq dubstep is actually good ,america ruined it from 2008 onwards
girlsdrinkfeck yeah fucking Obama
Dubstep can sound good if used right, but most I've heard recently just overuse the fuck out of it.
Or two chainsaws O 3o
0:30 and 0:32 is where is begins.
