This is my favorite song and in-game mix from the entire OST. I don't just love this game's soundtrack, I appreciate it. And ya know... As buggy as this game can be, it has personality. And personality goes a long way. I'd rather have a rough game with charm than a polished game with no soul.
So... if I'm listening correctly, in-game plays: (Phase 1 Intro: Base) (Phase 1: Base) (Phase 2 Intro: Base) (Phase 2: Base Melody + EDM Backing + Base Rhythm) (Phase 2: Base Melody + Rock Backing + Base Rhythm) (Phase 2: Rock Melody + Rock Backing + Base Rhythm) (Phase 3 Intro: Rock) (Phase 3: Base) (Phase 3: Base Melody + Rock Backing + Base Rhythm) (Phase 3: Rock) (Phase 4 Intro: Rock) (Phase 4: Base) (Phase 4: Rock Melody + Rock Backing + Base Rhythm) [In the preview version, the only difference is in Phase 3] I don't really know why they changed this, it sounds good, isn't very empty, and doesn't change much of the symbolism. I personally feel like the EDM version doesn't get enough credit in the current default track only being used partially in the start of Phase 2... [Phase 3 Intro: Rock] [Phase 3: Base Melody + EDM Melody + EDM Rhythm] - From what I found, this track doesn't use any backing, and uses two melodies! [Phase 3: Base Melody + Rock Backing + EDM Rhythm] - The only in-game track that somewhat uses all 3 tracks at once! [Phase 3: Rock] Another way the creators referenced story in music: DJSS ALWAYS starts each phase with Base Melody, possibly referencing how he pushes everyone else aside, which would also be why during Phase 2 after mentioning NSR as a whole, the EDM is pushed only on Backing, and when B2J only start turning the tide, only the Backing turns Rock, before also reaching the Melody later on, as well as in Phase 3 and 4. On a side note, I'd like to mention a part that was a little inaccurate. If you don't parry any attacks during Phase 4, you can find out that it's actually [Rock Melody + Base Backing + Base Rhythm], and not just [Base].

Soo The Christmas update is out. Im gonna see if i can get some Ingame Mixes going. Its not gonna be Easy though, since afaik The christmas songs are implemented diffrently.
So question for anyone who might know, I noticed something different about Phase 3 in some videos I’ve seen of the fight. Where the EDM track layers over the base track. It sounds really good but I’m wondering if it’s intended or a audio glitch
I wish this was the one in the ost and not the one that’s already in there. Cause this one sounds so much better. Especially the 2nd phase, that one is so much better

Yes and no, In the console versions the EDM gets layered over it, and in previous gameplay demos it does too. Only in the PC version it doesent
