    Will this work with any keg, like Guinness or carlsberg ?

    • @BrewfittLtd
      @BrewfittLtd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, thanks for getting in touch. Guinness will need the Ale/Stout kit (available from our website) including a gas feed due to the nature of the product being housed in a steel keg. We would recommend speaking to our technicians to explain this further. Carlsberg would also need a gas feed and regulator if it is in a steel keg. Any product housed in a polykeg however will not need any of this equipment and will simply connect and dispense via the internal compressor.

    • @BrewfittLtd
      @BrewfittLtd  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would advise you contact us on 01484 340800 and we can advise. Usually this is due to incorrect pressure for the specification of the beer and considerations need to be given to the ambient temperature of the keg. Please call us and we can advise accordingly.

    If using this set up with no gas on a key keg, would the key keg have to be refrigerated to get the maximum life?

    • @BrewfittLtd
      @BrewfittLtd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi James, the keg can be kept at an ambient temperature and the unit is designed to serve cold from ambient. By keeping the keg cold it would prolong the life but it is not a requirement for the unit.

    Do you Need Gas or not? Are there 2 Versions and is there a Difference im using Gas or Not?

    • @BrewfittLtd
      @BrewfittLtd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alexander, the 25k can be used with gas (see link below how to connect), however there is also an internal compressor should you wish to not use gas. Gas would be used in conjunction with steel kegs as it prolongs the life of the product. The compressor is best used with polykeg or key keg (a keg with internal bag) as the air squeezes the product through the lines. The compressor air doesn't come into contact with the product which prolongs the shelf life of the product and minimises oxidation.

    Hello, thank you so much for the video, very clear explanations.
    I have bought the pygmy 25 with a type A coupler for a traditional stainless Steel 30L cask. If i only use half the cask, will the remaining beer loose its flavor due to the air filling the other half of the cask?
    Many thanks in advance for your advice...🙂

    • @BrewfittLtd
      @BrewfittLtd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello. When beer is exposed to oxygen it only takes a few days until the oxidation process begins to affect the taste. To avoid this we would advise you consider using a gas feed to prolong the life. The machine has an air compressor as well as a gas feed should you prefer. Finally, we would advise you speak to our technical team on 01484 340800 regarding the safe installation of a gas bottle.

    • @BrewfittLtd
      @BrewfittLtd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Mark. The machine doesn't need to be switched on constantly, just as and when you need it. The beer will be chilled by the machine and takes less approx 5 minutes before it's ready. You can alternate between kegs, you would need to drain the lines and the machine if it is a different product though (unless you don't wish to waste a bit of mixed beer!). If you want to run two kegs simultaneously then the 25K Exclusive might be the better machine for you as it has two taps. Please email us at sales@brewfitt.com if you have any further questions and our technical team will be happy to help.

      @@stripeyjoe Hi Joe - I'm very happy 1 month on. I have tried various kegs and various couplers and all is working very well. The cooling system is by far better than any other home dispensing system as they can take more than an hour to reach optimum cooling temps.
