My implant doesn’t hurt. No signs of infection but now it’s popped up when I took my snap in out. It’s in the healing process. It’s been like a month. It pops up and pushes down. No infection or pain going on. My others never did this so I know it’s not right. I have all on 4 done on top. Now trying to get the bottom

My implant failed 3 months after being inserted. I’m actually in shock. I had Straumann zirconium implant, the top quality so called. My implant was done by a implantologist.
I remember when my implant was placed it was taken very long to heal, which I found it strange at the time… I don’t know if there was an error from my doctor side ?
From my side, I was extra careful and kept a good hygiene. How can we ensure that everything it’s placed correctly?

It blows me away that dentists are putting implants in disesed mouths full of periodontal issues and yet its not even on your list of absolute contradictions. Most people dont end up needing implants because of an accident its usually because of poor dental hygene, poor genetics but more often than not its from a poor high glycemic high starch diet that promotes an abundance of bad bacteria. So if a person isnt willing to change their diet and address perio disease implants will fail more likely than not. No dentists are telling this truth.
I feed my dog meat, meaty bones primarily and low and behold at 3 years of age his teeth are immaculate with no tarter. Well if we applied the same logic to our diets of meat and low starch vegetables as our diet foundation there would be far less dental issues period.

Tooth decay is painful and embarrassing. I have beat myself up plenty. Your assistance in judging. When you don't know all the circumstances. That caused me to lose my teeth. Means very little too me. You go right ahead and feed the dog those. Bones from those grass fed cows. Tonight dinner for my husband and I. Will be Hamburger Helper from the food pantry. We rely on so we don't go hungry. Most clueless and privileged hogwash. I heard in my life. Poor people already suffer. You go out of your way to make it worse.

Dentist failures and mistakes still get paid for by patients.

I have 11 dental implants. Just after 4 yrs the bone is shrinking around all the implants. I did have low Vit. d deficiency, which has been corrected.. My family doctor didn't think it was necessary to check the vit. d., so I did not know it was very low.I have also taken antacids, which had steroids in the medicine.I did not know this at the time I was taking the medicine. Now my prosthodontist Is going to try to save my implants. The costs of bone grafting and implants have cost over 70,000 ,4 yrs ago.

Make sure to increase your protein intake, most of the dry weight of bone is protein, target 1g/lb(ideal bodyweight) of protein per day.

@@Gengh13That’s very valuable information. I’ll pass that on to my oncology nutritionist. She’s probably not aware of this either.

It doesn't mean yours will fail. I am sure you understood. The risks involved picked dentist or other specialist to do thie implants. Brush and floss. You should be just fine.

This presentation was very informative. I have severe bone loss and don’t want to take the chance on dental implants. My dentist quoted $8000 for one tooth implant and bone graph. All that metal! Radio waves and EMF radiation should be a concern. Tankful I made it 70 yrs enjoying my natural teeth.
It’s 2022 - Why has dentistry remains archaic and painful? Dentures don’t fit and are painful to wear and chew. Flexible full dentures and partials seem to be a good option so far. The info you presented is valuable.
