Lowest in life expectancy out of any developed country despite spending the most on healthcare out of any developed country. A Lancet study says the gap in life expectancy between rich and poor males in America is 15 years. America is expected to fall lower and lower out of all countries in life expectancy.
I'm sorry you have to go through this. I have had and still have doctors that go through these mazes to help me and many others, and I'm thankful for that. I think we should create a new system where doctors, nurses, and medical teams can clock time like contract workers do when they have to do back and forth with insurance companies. Every phone call, email, fax, when they lose it refax it, etc. And then at the end of it when the medicine or treatment is approved send the insurance company an invoice for the time you and your team spend navigating their system. I bet there'd be less 'page doesn't exist' links and a more direct and efficient process for approvals if that were the case. I'm one of the patients that made it through this. My previously pre-approved surgery was denied the day of the surgery while I was being prepped for surgery. I'll never forget the terror I felt and I'll also never forget the team of doctors, nurses, a great social worker, and my family holding my hand when we could do nothing else but wait. I still believe there is more good out there than bad. What's strange to me is that surgery was over 20 years ago and these same issues remain. I can tell you that what you do matters. Though I also think we need to stop waiting for legislators and others to craft a plan that works for medical insurance and perhaps all of us need to craft one together ourselves and introduce it as an Amendment or bill to be voted on in each state.

The words were for the CEO. The original book title was "Delay, Deny, Defend," as that's what the insurance industry does. The words on the shells were the response. The one deposed is supposed to be the CEO, after arrest for criminality. He denied responsibility, defended his own actions, and needed to be deposed. Barring that, he was sent elsewhere. So sad. Send me a tissue.
Another angle to the word "depose" could possibly be referring to the way the insurance industry deposes terminally ill patients in an attempt to nullify claims. It's grueling interrogation - my father-in-law faced a room full of lawyers just a few weeks before he succumbed to mesothelioma. They tried their best to wear him out and get him to give confused testimony to justify their denial that he was dying right in front of their eyes even though they well knew that asbestos causes mesothelioma. Question, re-question, & re-question again and again - all while keeping him in a hotel during the Christmas holiday. Brutal.

This is the same ideology that wants Medicare to be discretionary spending instead of mandatory. If Congress has to fight for the funding every budget cycle, how long do you think it will last? Families crying, hope is thin
They see the gates but can’t get in
Defend the empire, guard the prize
Profit margins above human lies
The policy is written, lives disposed
They stamp it cold: Deny, Defend, Depose
Deny the claims, defend the lie
Depose the weak, let the strong survive
They thought it was power, but the cracks now show
What you reap; you sow
Deny, Defend, Depose
A shot rang out, the streets went still
Not just a man, but the system they killed
The crowd didn’t mourn, they cheered instead
Not for what he did, but what he’d said
Your life’s a number, your worth’s a fee
A kingdom built on misery
The people’s anger finally rose
Against the words: Deny, Defend, Depose
Deny the claims, defend the lie
Depose the weak, let the strong survive
They thought it was power, but the cracks now show

Saint Luigi Mangione, a defender of the sick and the poor. God's gift to America.
As a doctor, I can believe the murder to be wrong and still completely understand the emotion. The insurance companies are killing my patients. Every day it get worse.
Lowest in life expectancy out of any developed country despite spending the most on healthcare out of any developed country. A Lancet study says the gap in life expectancy between rich and poor males in America is 15 years. America is expected to fall lower and lower out of all countries in life expectancy.
And the very situation makes frontline healthcare workers jobs harder. Emotionally harder and exacerbates burnout
Watch what happens next.

Brilliant job with the AI artwork. It was the perfect balance of not trying to be too realistic, keeping that element of fantasy while touching on an important real world topic. For me it's like I feel bad that a wife lost her husband and sons lost their father. But then the little voice in my head asks how many families has his policies and practices destroyed in the worst way possible by denying people treatment when they are sick. For them it's a cruel and sometimes long process watching a loved one suffer until death. Knowing that, it's hard to muster empathy. The chorus is fire. I think that is why I keep coming back to watch it. I must have watched it 10 times.

They built a castle out of pain
Paid in blood, collected gains
A system broken, everyone know three words
Define it:
Deny, defend, depose
Denied the cure
Denied the care
Left to die, but they don’t despair
Families crying, hope is thin
They see the gates but can’t get in
Defend the empire, guard the prize
Profit margins above human lies
The policy is written, lives disposed
They stamp it cold: Deny, Defend, Depose
Deny the claims, defend the lie
Depose the weak, let the strong survive
They thought it was power, but the cracks now show
What you reap; you sow
Deny, Defend, Depose
A shot rang out, the streets went still
Not just a man, but the system they killed
The crowd didn’t mourn, they cheered instead
Not for what he did, but what he’d said
Your life’s a number, your worth’s a fee
A kingdom built on misery
The people’s anger finally rose
Against the words: Deny, Defend, Depose
Deny the claims, defend the lie
Depose the weak, let the strong survive
They thought it was power, but the cracks now show
What you reap; you sow
Deny, Defend, Depose
This ain’t revenge it’s the cost of greed
A reckoning borne of big needs
You pushed too hard you crossed that line
The people fight back one life at a time
Deny the claims, defend the lie
Depose the weak, let the strong survive
They thought it was power, but the cracks now show
What you reap; you sow
Deny, Defend, Depose
The streets remember the pain still flows
From the seeds they planted the anger grows
When the system crumbles everyone knows
It started with:
Deny, Defend, Depose
Funny this popped up, and at first I thought it said the channel was "the daily show" and I was like well now that's a bit different from their norm... lol
Well done - excellent work - 5 stars from me - and very accurate piece of art as well - Visually and emotionally moved - USA is a very sick country - hope your art makes things move in the right direction.
Texas conservative woman here…
I ❤ this song…I hooked it up to my speaker on my 4 wheeler & drove through my small town!!! We all support Luigi!!!
Lyrically and musically, this is a great song. It's sad that someone was driven to kill because nobody would listen, but it's understandable. Countries do it all the time right? It's called war. Marie Antoinette said, "Let them eat cake!" We all know how that ended. You can only harm people for so long before they get tired of it. The system has itself to blame for the CEO murder. It's failed the people. I pray that the elite change. We saw what happened in Syria. All that Assad collected and stole from people is now out of his possession and he's running for his life. Forever! Time to go play some drums for TH-cam. Have a nice day! Oh, and may this song get a billion views.
After this whole thing, I hope people will realise the pain the disabled and the chronically ill went through and are still going through as we speak.
The disabled people will ALWAYS remember what priorities people had during the last 5 years. Remember, most people are disposable in powerful people's eyes.
So many people thinking disabled people are burdens, but are still too cowardly to take a stand against authorities (excluding people with trauma, severe anxiety and similar stuff for obvious reasons). Just because you gain something in short term, that doesn't mean you will gain anything in long term.
Certified people's banger. Any more peak and you'll wake up class consciousness with this one
Not too long ago, we had a little party called "Occupy Wall Street".
We got shut down but it looks like that spark never got completely snuffed.
Excellent (although "controversial") subject, layout, rhythms and lyrics
I always thought that was a noble movement. But eventually those people just bought in and turned to crypto currency and the whole stock fiasco of Gamestop.
You got shut down by a freak who called themself ketchup.
We have to unite against them.... It's the only way.... We have to put aside our differences and issues and stop falling for their division tactics.... If we don't we're done.....
I applaud this with my fn soul.
The sick and tired are sick and tired of choking on scraps while these fs profit from suffering.
Things always balance out.
Welcome to the reckoning....
Dope.
Awesomeness in action! The new Anthem of the oppressed... "Your Honor, let the record show... We didn't start this. They brought us to this point..."
Great words for t-shirts.💥
Deny the power of the "elites."
Defend the public from the Greed.
Depose the "Leaders "of the corruption.
That's basically bolshevism, there's nothing new under the sun.
That's the spirit!

My mother is wetting herself over this, she's the only one who feels sorry for this dead swine.
And yknow what? GOOD!
She's the generation that left us with this situation.
Well, allow us to retort.
