Beautiful rustic box. My grandfather had a leather fire bucket with the Royal Crest on it unfortunately my kids wrecked it. Thanks for showing a very interesting video. James
Thanks for the tip on that leather strap cutter! I have other strap cutters but I like the simplicity and versatility you have shown this tool can accomplish. Bravo, keep the vids coming.
I weave with black ash mostly and the outer layers and blemishes are my favorite parts to use. My first few logs I used were not what would be "High" quality. Some layers were so thin that I didn't split them as is customary. The result was a more natural wood apperance. Which I prefer personally. Many make baskets that are so perfect they almost appear machine made. Which is great if that's what one likes.
Very fine craftsmanship. Wonderful tutorial. With my luck half of the strips would crack as I reversed the bottom and made the folds starting towards the top. Thank you Bodger Rogers. :-)
Very enjoyable to watch, and to admire your dexterity and planning ! We could hear that Tom was giving you advice as you progressed ! Was there a planned use for this particular basket, such as to be home for a plant pot to contain a house plant ? Yes - a pleasure to see how the project was tackled - as always, perfect editing of the film to show us "not too little, not too much, but just right !". Many thanks !
Really nice tutorial and glad I discovered your channel. I'm going to have a practice with some card strips to get the general methods and then try with small leaved lime bark that I can get hold of here in Northamptonshire. If SLL doesn't work, I'll have to see where I might get some SC from locally... Thanks Harry!
Hi it comes under various names such as Punch Drill, Pump Drill, Jewellers Drill, Semi Automatic Twist Drill to name a few, my one is quite old and I bought it secondhand at the Bodgers Ball!
Love that you managed to put Bach and Handel subtly into one comment.
Random comment. I find myself watching your videos and smiling. You make me smile.

The bark blemishes would add a lot of character to the basket if they could be handily worked in! Great patience as always.

Very Good Work again Harry.
I hope to find someone to work with for different skill sets, but to date no one has replied.
Thanks Harry. Great explanation, I was struggling with the last corners from the last video. Thanks again P.
Always go to your videos for quality workmanship! Funny; I expected you to PULL the bark thru,
Looks great.

Pulou uma parte muito importante para aprendermos 🤔
very nice but had trouble seeing the finished product at the end due to the ads
Thank You Tonka Driver, I have just edited it to remove the adverts...I have just left the Subscribe pic....hint hint for anyone! Best regards Harry
The question is, will it last? Did it shrink and changed shape after dried? is there any product to apply to not let become bristle?
I still use it, it moved a bit, but is still pot shaped!
👌
What tree is your bark source?
Thanks
Hi it's chestnut in this case.
Great you still use inches
What kind of tree bark are you using?
JIM
