In Turkish , we generally don’t use different adjectives to describe sb or sth in daily speaking . Charming has a cognate in portuguese (charmoso) that's not really formal, we use it all the time, when we want to say someone has "attractive manners" and not just looks, if that makes sense. So I use charming a lot! Never knew it was weird to use it in informal contexts! Thank you for the tip!

You're ready for a thesaurus! English always has about 10 alternatives with subtly different meanings .. si you're not just a pretty face
