There have been movies about it, but AIR AMERICA was essentially a funding operation for the North Vietnamese war effort which exploited various 75 year legal non disclosure clauses associated with formerly classified individuals sssociated with the Office of Strategic Services, which was disbanded by former president Truman back on September 20th of 1945, thus making all similar forms of obstruction that were formerly exploited into public domain, back in 2020, with many of the seditionist agendas in politics ultimately just support for criminal activity, which are played as threats snd leverage against the Government at various levels, and formerly in some cases of being subject to a form of discretion that came from hiding the activity behind a classified domain. The big turf wars out in the Midwest and East half of the country usually involved a rivalry between vatious Cosa Nostra crime families and the biker groups who were challenging their territory in regards to contraband trafficking and other rackets, and with 'divide and conquer' being the rule of the day, and biker wars keeping them occupied while other criminal special interests reclaim their former territory. Still comes down to finding evidence and legal due process, and the FBI is the best operation on the planet when it comes to that, and i dont recall the Bureau EVER being as conscientious about civil rights and proper procedure as it is now. The Bad Guys are lucky, in that regard, because many countries in the world would just shoot them, and ask questions later. The largest customer in America of the various dope cartels is still the Cosa Nostra, and when money starts to talk, which is illegal, that generally is who will be heard, as they have far greater resources to draw from than the average biker gang.
