    Just found your channel and am already a big fan! You mention things that I've not seen other vlogs covering and I'm a fan of your editing too! Thanks for sharing.

    I'm from Kensington and Chelsea in London originally.
    I would like to say "Thank you" for explaining; and striking the right balance.
    Many TH-camrs, mostly of a younger age group, do this modern type style; of a few nanosecs.
    Assuming, people have the attention span of a gnat ☺
    What impressed me the most, was your attention to (just enough) detail; which was exemplified in your Globe Theatre research.
    Well done both ✅

      @@New2Napa Thanks both.
      I haven't been a local for many years. ☺
      I don't live in UK 🇬🇧 anymore I'm in a better climate.
      I play 🎾 with my friends from Western Europe and Scandinavia.
      Sit outside cafes with them, discussing politics, sport bla de bla.
      They all speak English, most do in that part of the world; for decades.
      I cycle everywhere, on a fantastic beachfrontage infrastructure.
      I have no lady friend in my life, although I did years ago.
      She died in a road accident; and is irreplaceable. 😘 🙏
      I was a British English language consultant in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
      In Ukraine.
      I left ten months before vladolf putler invaded (a hunch)
      My mother was from Britanny by the way 😂 🇫🇷
      My dad from Berlin....me...I'm from Kensington and Chelsea in London originally; but no English in my ancestry; as I researched it 😂
      Live in Alanya region 🇹🇷, of the beautiful Med Sea climate nowadays.
      320 sunny days a year; and heavenly for an 'Englishman' 😂
      Dec averaged 22c and Jan 21c. About 4 days ☔ collectively.
      Feb/Mar not cold either....a little more in fact 23c. Again 4 days ☔ collectively.
      April was 25c plus and 4 days ☔
      May a little hotter at 29c 1 day rain...Coronation 👑 day. ☺
      Today is June 15th 2023 and it's 38c ☀ 🔥
      No rain so far.
      (Aircon controlled means I sleep soundly).
      Not a heatwave (classed here would be 40c+) altho media in 🇬🇧 say 23c is in UK. 😂
      I live here because of Brexit. (Another hunch 😂 )
      Prices very low for us....cigarettes £1.25 single pack of 20.
      (I don't smoke, it's a good gauge for prices though)
      My monthly rent overlooking the Med Sea is 350 euros.
      My electric and water bill last month, combined was £14.11p.
      That's like late 1960s UK prices. 🤔
      (Gas heating unnecessary)
      You can work out the cost of everything else, just based on what I've said.
      But it's about a third less, of what I'd pay in UK; and Europe.
      British tourists recently told me that.
      Fresh produce is the norm, at incredibly low prices, at farmers bazaars.
      I'm 5 mins walk from here 👍
      All year round it's pretty much the same.
      This video about Nov 2022.
      My dad worked on the Ford Ghia all models.
      A German engineer.
      We lived in Tampa Bay, Florida when I was about 11 yrs old for three years.
      Before being transferred back to 🇬🇧.
      Best wishes 🇬🇧 🤝 🇺🇸 👍

    It's a shame you missed Tate Modern, just before the Globe. The world's largest modern art gallery, housed in a former art deco power station, plus viewing platforms and the vast Turbine Hall for giant installations -all for free

    Great videos on London/UK so far! We are doing our 1st London trip end of June. Doing pretty much your 1st 2 London vids. Please post more! We’re there for 2weeks also! After 1st week, we rent a car and head to Edinburgh, then Bamburgh castle, then Haidan’s Wall, then York, Nottinghamshire, and finally Dover.

      Thank you, David! We appreciate the kind words and encouragement. We’ll have upcoming videos on Oxford, road tripping through Scotland (including Edinburgh) and also tips for visitors who will be driving in the UK on the left side of the road for the first time. Stay tuned!

      @Grant & Teresa Great! How about also a few tips on money.... such as: quantity of GBP in paper and coins to have with each person, tipping (in GBP? On card? and how much when?), paying for things (money, card, etc), etc... thanks!

    Another good option over the London Eye is Sky Garden. Last I checked, it was free. Save money and not as touristy.

    Great vid … one thing though .. the tower is not Big Ben, it’s the Elizabeth tower … Big Ben is the bell inside .. I did notice you changed your perception when you said it was in restoration ..

    They used Hampton Court for the exteriors of Buckingham. The Buckingham Palace that we see today isn't the one from Queen Charlotte day. It was much smaller and she never actually lived there. Queen Victoria was the fist one to live there.

    • @New2Napa
      @New2Napa  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Thank you very much for watching and for the additional context. Good history! I also heard they used the exterior of Blenheim Palace for filming. So many buildings with gorgeous architecture.

    Firstly it’s not called Buckingham house - secondly everywhere in London is accessible without a car and very few Londoners have or use their car. The most famous church is not an abbey ! It’s St Paul’s cathedral which is a church not an Abby. There are so many other places to get a view of London that isn’t £30!! The sky garden , Primrose Hill etc both are free. Plenty of much better American reviews of what to see and do in London than this one

    @leematthews6812 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You certainly don't need a car if you're travelling around London. The rest of the country, maybe, depending on where you're going.

      Very true, Lee! London has a very useful public transit system.

  • @julianellis8200
    @julianellis8200 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That is an expensive way to see London in a day. You don’t need to go into Buck House, then walk to Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall to Parliament and The Abbey and then get a boat down stream to The Tower of London and Tower Bridge. The only cost is the cheap river trip.

    • @New2Napa
      @New2Napa  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Julian! Thanks so much for watching. Yes, the admission does add up very quickly, based on what people choose to tour. Great suggestion about the boat!
