Re-potting Haworthia & Cacti. An Endangered cactus? 🌵

    Today we are re-potting some plants I got from my friend and also one of my cacti that was due a soil change for a while now!
    While looking up some facts about cacti I came across the information about one of them being critically endangered where the threats are
    Not all succulents are the same, and you need to remember that succulent care is also not the same, while many things can be applied there are habitat loss and illegal collection.

    Greetings! I think your Mammilaria herrerae is... well not an Mammilaria herrerae! I'm not an Mammilaria expert but it looks much more like an M. gracilis to me :) Also you should try to chnge your growing medium for your cacti to something mineral based and more gritty like pumice (at least 50%) or they will most likely start rotting! Have a nice day!

      Hi :) Yeah I could be wrong, there is a lot of them where the differences are minimal and its hard to distinguish between them! Thanks for the suggestion, I am using a cacti&succulent mix and so far haven't had any issues. However your idea has crossed my mind, i will get some next time i'm at the garden center! thanks! :)
