I remember finally finishing cheap cheap’s rap for the first time at like 2am, then playing the rest of the game in a half asleep daze. I don’t remember anything past that level, lol
i swear i had wayyy more trouble on stage 1 & 2 compared to 4. Most likely because by the time i got to that GOD FORSAKEN chicken, I was already pretty much used to the janky ass input system and all that. still took me like, a good 12 attempts, but I DID IT!! :D
Epic vid gang😁, here's a tip: yall were right at first, to get a greater score (and to get the cool! status), yall gotta freestyle. You don't have to press only the given notes, you can hit whatever as long as you hit the given notes with them (meaning you can also hit whatever between each given note if you have the time). In other words, go absolutely WILD. Ik yall ain't gonna play this again but I'd just thought I'd give an explanation. And again, epic vid! Good job, yall❤
The ps1 version of the chicken rap is also hard but not as hard and yes I did beat it on the remake too BUT it took me soo long and it's always the one I dread the most when I try to do a speed run
With that last level, ya'll were close with the idea for solving it. In an EazySpeezy speedrun of this game, he talks about how to solve the Cheap Cheap baking level. What you need to do is, press the inputs right before Parappa's head goes over them, not after his head goes over them. With Parappa The Rapper, I know it started as a PS1 game and the inputs were very funny, but for some reason they added those exact same input bugs into the PS4 remaster (the one you guys are playing.) The PS4 remaster is also the one that EazySpeezy played, so if you ever try this game again, I hope that'll be a good piece of information to use 🤓 Anyways, ya'll are underrated. I hope I get to see more content like this 😄
Dang that's good to know we weren't too far off on how to beat it lol. This will definitely come in handy next time if we come back to the game. Thanks for watching and we got you. We'll be playing some more rhythm games soon!
I played today Parappa and god damn it the chicken stage is so difficult! After many attempts I realized that if I pressed the buttons before Parappa's head touched them, I would be awarded points. Still, the game is very unfair and often doesn't recognize that you pressed the buttons. It gets very frustrating...
@@Pinselum_YT Yeah. IDK why it's like that. Another mystery left unsolved I guess. I assume that it's either the PS1's inputs being funny and they for some reason still incorporated it into the PS4 remake, or the creators of that code wanted it to be a change of difficulty as the first level it assumes you'll be bad at the game so it makes the inputs later and they did a similar thing for the cheep cheep stage. I honestly don't know though, it could've even just been a coding error, and they still used that code for the PS4 remake. I probably could just search it up and get the answer. It is frustrating though. I think the game is awesome as it is anyways.
I still hear her in my head...
"Bakin' a cake, yes, means you gotta try.
I'm doing this for years, but don't ask me why!"

Thanks for tip fam, we appreciate it! We might just come back to try and beat the game so it's not out of the question lol. Glad you enjoyed the video
I was 8 years old
I had no memory card
I had nothing but my dualshock controller
And the very will that animated my tiny body
I beat this fuckin game

Gotta be a full sec to press
Blame sony for making it even more impossible :3
