First time trying Chinese jjajangmyeon and it was yummy. At hawker centres, I tend to eat a lot. 😂

Welcome back to Singapore! Wow surprised you managed to try so many different food LOL! And you barely scratched the surface. Wonder if you have tried the very popular tapioca/mochi kueh store in Maxwell as well since you were there early (they sold out fast!). Yes that roasted meat stall is very popular as it tastes great and also wallet friendly. Plus the guy serving is super camera friendly

Hi Grif, there is a nice hawker center very near Raffles Place MRT call Market Street Hawker Center at L2/ L3 Capitaspring. Though it is located in CBD area, the food prices are very affordable. After your meal, you may want to take the lift to L51 Sky Garden to enjoy the skyline of the city (FOC).

The black carrot cake is sweeter in flavour while the white version is more savoury. Both versions have their own supporters.

Still need to try the white carrot cake. Maybe I would like more, because it is more savory. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.

Black is sweet and savory, whereas white lacks that sweetness from the dark soy. The soy in the black also adds an additional layer of umami, so it’s arguably more savory. Prefer black myself. Deeper and more complex flavor. 🤗

I wonder why you can never find delicious chicken rice in the us. I wonder if it's bc our chickens don't taste as good bc of all the antibiotics and fortified chicken feed. Asian chicken just tastes so much better

Yeah, I noticed there is a difference in the chicken in Asia versus US. Chickens Asia maybe skinnier, but they taste better. 😋
