You can tell Mono is not thinking about anything but the musical moment; no specific lick or phrase he wants to use, just being really good at analyzing the energy in the room and connecting to that through his musicality.
Mono Neon! What a great serious student of bass and music. I can hear James Jamerson influences in his playing, Jaco, Anthony Jackson, Larry Graham too, what a unique voice on bass. He sounds like he’s studied everybody. He comes out sounding like himself! Killer drummer in this video too. Excellent!
@@apexone5502 Do you know any tips to play like that? I only know he plucks two strings at once and uses the scale based off of the lower note, but I'm not a bass player i really don't know how to 'shake' the note as well as he does
Well I was expecting heaps of comments!! Amazing would love to see this live Mono is a freakin monster world class right here Just given props when due
Every now and then you catch a little smile at someone else’s playing, or some appreciation expressed by eye contact. But yes, he does keep his cards close to his chest in general.
This may sound like a weird proposition, but if Dream Theater´s bassist (John Myung) ever got hit by a bus, I believe Mono Neon could actually be a good replacement! Haha.
Oh man - I need to see bands like this. So rare in the UK.

He makes it look like he just in his kitchen making himself a late night pb and extra jam
The musicianship here is off the charts oh my goodness.
Everyone's talking about the bass player, and fair enough, but that drummer on the right! He's doing laps around the beat!

First time I've ever heard a bass being played like that and he did it like it was nothing.

I know this to be true first hand!! 😂👍🏾👍🏾
Holy shit!
Mono neon always looks unimpressed.
Interesting observation.

This sounds like he's using the phrygian mode (or however u spell it)
One of the best phrygian bass players ever!
This may sound like a weird proposition, but if Dream Theater´s bassist (John Myung) ever got hit by a bus, I believe Mono Neon could actually be a good replacement! Haha.
Type kaladzijsko oro,you will be amazed
what is this song ?
"Desert" by Jonathan Scales Fourchestra
@@Jonathan-Scales Thank you!
Sem igual
gotdamn
y are there only 3 guys if it's a fourchestra?
Cause there's a percussionist as the 4th
no sweat
I wonder who he is
He's Jaco reincarnated
No. His strings aren't reversed.
Keyboards or steel pans? Okay, looks like actual pans...
Sorry, but he has more chops than Jaco
and an extra string
But jack invented all the chops so I mean
@@sirenwavemtv8334 no he didn't
