- There's a lot of questions of how to breathe properly when using a bow. This is a great topic because it's very relevant to several things that affect your accuracy. I have a great method that reduces heart rate, minimizes movement on target and keeps your focus consistent.

Slow breathing is great while practicing, but when a deer walks by, my heart and breathing go wild lol
I've been practicing this since I watched it a few weeks ago and it's helping a lot. I really don't like to let down, so sometimes I take another breath, reset my front shoulder, re align the peep and level and hold again. I think that's more relative for hunting situations where the deer moves and you have to wait for another opportunity.
Good stuff bro like always. Thx John.
Nice - thanks for sharing John.
John thank you for the archery info.
Can I ask a ?? My bow arm. My left elbow that holds the riser is starting to hurt like arthritis/tendonitis. I normally shoot 70# but it’s getting to where it really hurts. I’ve always worked out and I’m familiar with nutrition & anti-inflammatory’s, as that’s my background. It feels better taking a few ibuprofen but do I need to just rest? I’m trying to get ready for a shoot 2 months from now
How do you balance staying proud and tall with letting air out? I feel like it would cause me to collapses slightly.
It's easier for taller people to acquire their target faster. So you are saying draw, anchor, peep, acquire the target, THEN final breath, stabilize and start shot process?
Same for firearm marksmanship
When you breathe, do you push your diaphragm down and stomach out or expand your chest?
No way you don't cancel the shot you stay in it and use that as an opportunity to focus extra hard and still make a good shot because a hunting situation won't allow you to let down your bow infront of a big buck.
Thanks dude great vid looks awkward as heck to demonstrate
