I used to be a photocopier engineer about 35 years ago. It’s amazing how far they have advanced. Here is a tip: paper has grain. The grain will run either landscape or portrait. It will feed into the printer much easier when fed with the grain, not against it. This will minimise misfeeds and paper jams. If your printer feeds the paper in portrait orientation as this machine does, buy paper with the grain in that direction. Same thing applies if your printer feeds the paper in landscape orientation. You can tell what direction the grain runs by folding and creasing a sheet of the paper. It will crease smooth and sharp with the grain and rough and crinkly against it. Thanks for this video. It was very helpful.
Thanks for your comments Steve, that’s very interesting, I didn’t know anything about that at all. Maybe you should make a video about it! Thanks again for your comments . J.
The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
After a little while, the power light starts blinking and printer goes into sleep mode. If I wish it to turn if off then by pressing the power button for a few seconds, it does not turn off but instead wakes up with the waring red light blinking as well. Then I have to press the power button again to turn if off. Is this a normal behavior? Could you please upload a video of shutting off the printer?
Hi there, I’m extremely busy at the moment, but will look into this when I can. I do know what you’re talking about though, I think it’s intended to be in “standby” mode all the time.
Hi there and thanks very much for your question. I would say with regard to paper, the standard inkjet or laser paper will be fine, don’t go spending a fortune on expensive stuff. I usually buy the paper you can buy in supermarkets. With regards to stickers, or label paper, I have not yet tried it out, but I would imagine it would be okay. However, as I say I have not tried it yet. Hope that helps Best wishes Jason
if you connected it to a front port/usb hub try connecting it to the back panel usb. Mine was not detected during driver installation when i connected it to a usb hub
I thought it was me, checking every volume setting on my laptop, youtube, listing, etc had to change to another poster, couldn't understand a word. Might be a good tutorial, but do another voice over with decent volume.
Hi there, I think it looks as though there are no drivers available for Mac. I think this is probably because printing on newer macs uses AirPrint, like iPads. Therefore I would probably try to set it up from an iPad if available, then find the printer on the Mac, via AirPrint. Hope this helps, thanks for your comment. J.
Well I would say roughly as long as a piece of string. 😀... but, official HP data is 1000 sheets worth. Cartridges range from £25 to £40ish, so not bad. I have 3 other printers, all inkjet and I can replace all the inks for a lot less, but the big thing is that this will always print when you go to it, even if you leave it a month or more without printing. On the inkjet, I might spend an hour (and a lot of ink) cleaning the heads to get the thing going again each time. This printer has a very good web interface (viewable in a browser) that shows all the stats and ink remaining, so I should be able to give you a real world answer in a few months! Thanks for your comment, J.
@@fruzsinafarkas4076 Hi Fruzsina, many thanks for your comment. I'm not 100% sure but I would not be surprised if its a "low yield" toner cartridge. The problem is that I have now not used the printer for a couple of months. As I said in the video, I wanted be able to move the printer for part of the year, and that's because its an apartment which I rent out for summer holiday lets and so the printer is now in storage. it will be back in place next month and I will give an update then. I have used it for some months though and have been very happy with it. I may actually make a follow up video as this video has proved quite popular. J.
Okay, I now have a solution for this. During the summer break I changed the Wi-Fi on my router, and have now had to re-set up the printer on what is affectively a new Wi-Fi with a different password. The simple answer is just follow the video right through, as if you have never set the printer up before, and everything will work fine. Of course when you get to the installing software, you can choose to cancel at that point because you already have it installed, but the early sections involving setting up the Wi-Fi will still work perfectly. Hope this helps!
u can also probably also connect it to your router usb port and print over the network. at least thats what i did with a different hp printer that only had usb.

Hi, for how long does the catrdige last after refilling. Because, when bought toners are only half filled right? So they run out fast.
What kind of paper can I use and do you print the sticker

What about unboxing and setting up a hp laser 107a. Mine is refusing to connect.
Please, what can i do to connect it with my PC?

huge help thank you
Thanks for your comment and very glad it was useful. 😊
Hi, can you refill the toner yourself (like brother printer ) or you must buy official toner ?
You can buy an aftermarket toner and take the chip from the original(demo) toner for it to work

Would you be kind enough to stick the URL for downloading the program for MacBook Air? Also what operating system to choose?
Thank you,
