I am one of the designer of this blaster. It's based on the gecko blaster and I prolonged it, after that ,another designer called “aroundight” redesigned the exterior and optimized the inside structure. Hope this blaster could give you good experience
I know the blaster is still in very new and you are still working things out but is there a way to change the bolt from side to side? I ask because I’m left handed and it looks like you can’t but I wanted to ask and see or if it’s been solved in the second batch.
@@hunterburford1347 Hey! Thats a great question. The truth just boils down to needing to move X # of them so we can afford to come back and also print the lefty version. Because these are mass-produced, once the print starts, we have to get enough capital back in to afford to change things. :)
Nice to see they included the longer barrel which i told them to do since the upgrades will need the longer barrel, also the price i told them that we need to compete with alot of the other brands, and they agreed that throwing a $500, price tag isnt the goal
I thought we would've been able to get past the 3D printed scratch noises in 2024. It also looks like the printed arm covers are flexing when you pull the bolt back. Other than it being just absolutely massive, it looks very cool.
Yeah that was my first thought as well. It's fingernails on chalkboard. Still an incredibly cool blaster, but I think taking just a little time to smooth out those surfaces would go a LONG way.
so cool that their inspiration was that adam savage video, that was also one of the first nerf modding videos I saw in the past few years that reignited my love of nerf and got me back into it. will definitely be looking into this blaster
That reference is actually that Adam Savage showed me and my business partner that modding could be done. We started a high FPS league here in florida and the Realm came from that. :)
@@jaredsanford that’s awesome. adam seems like such a genuinely nice guy who’s passionate about anything in the maker space and I’d love to get to meet him some day
Sanding the bolt and receiver would get rid of the plastic scratching sounds, I do that with my blasters and it makes a massive difference. Only problem is that you’ll get some slight discolouration on the parts
I sand down the entire part 1mm then use a styrofoam cutter and cut in a little area and add Teflon pads. On the opposite side I add a strip of Teflon. This is the absolute best way to have smooth and silent prime.
Amazing design and aesthetics. It looks incredibly fun and awesome to operate. I really like a lot of the features and how the slot lines up when primed. Would be cool to see a smaller version, though that kind of goes against the spirit of the blaster.
Thanks for Videos Brother. Your videos have become the benchmark for everyone else. I still watch everyone else, but still yours are indeed set apart. And for that 1 guy out there somewhere who's 1st question was, "COOL BLASTER.! Does it have 'Slam-Fire'.?!!" 🤓 For you sir. 🙂Yes. It has slamfire.😉
A review on the TWS King Arms Carbine would be really good. Been wanting to buy one for over a year, but waiting on a second revision (mk2) hoping it’s obviously better.
I won't lie, I like this a lot. It looks like a bit futuristic M700/M40. Make it injection molded with stronger internals and I will go "Shut up and take my money" 😆 Guess you have found a perfect muzzle attachment for it Bradley.
@@BradleyPhillipsYTmaybe, though uhmw tape is pretty incredible in terms of wear-resistance, I would kind of expect 10 mil stuff to outlive the blaster as long as the ends don't peel up. and the advantage over liquid or powder lubes is that it fully covers the print ridges, you'd feel nothing
It has so many good features, It looks fantastic, and wow it can get 400 ft/sec, but for something that is not all competitive and at that price, the primming noise would be a bit of a dealbreaker to me, It needs some metal there (wich also reinforces the system). But is a great one anyways
I would think that for that rubbing sound, you could either use acetate gas I think it is, or just sandpaper to make sure that the plastic is perfectly smooth, and then some kind of lubricant, maybe the carbon dust that matchbox racers use on their wheels, or even possibly something like baby powder. Although I would be concerned About lubricants that might interact with ambient moisture and humidity. Still, I bet there’s a way with plastic to get rid of the cocking noise
You just know that someone's going to come up with an offset CNC bolt arm that shifts it forward a couple of inches for better ergos.. shouldn't hsve to for that pricetag though.
Nice setup. I want to grab one. That being said that prime is atrocious. And I have to disagree there is nothing to be done about it since it's plastic on plastic. You have to design around part orientation so that the layer lines don't align perpendicular to the plane of travel. Sillybutts does a great job of taking this in to account with his designs and all of them have smooth primes that are far quieter than this.
I have the pack and will test it in the next few weeks, I suspect it has too much spin for high fps though. Most likely designed for 160-180fps like their blasters.
@BradleyPhillipsYT Makes sense. With too much spin, seems like they'd whirlybird out of control for my prediction. If the pack ends up being super effective, then that'd be a huge game changer
How easy is a spring swap? How long is the barrel that you used? Is the barrel thread the same as the Baize or Harrier? Will the accuracy improve shooting it without the shroud and with the Sabre bcar?
Hey, where do you get the outter shroud for the flag and armor bcar? I have this bcar, but I have not seen the shroud for this, and if I end up picking up the realm, I'd want the muzzle shroud to fit snuggly around the bcar like in this video
hey im new to the world of op nerfing and i think its really cool but i dont want to spend 500+ bucks on a nerf gun. Is there anything thats $150 or under (AUD) that is reasonable or is this the chapest you will get for quality? Or maybe something like buying a cheap gun and modding it (for under 150 AUD)? Also a decent scope (not part of the 150 but still not too expensive). Thanks in advance!
Hey Brad, should I make the switch from Worker Gen 3 He regular darts to bamboo HE darts? I’m found out about a group in my area that has a 200 fps limit, and was wondering if it was a viable option for the seagull in terms of accuracy and fps. Also I’m using it with the stock long spring and short barrel. Thanks
If I recall correctly bamboo darts are better with BCARs than scars and being the fact I don’t have a BCAR I would probably want one to go with the bamboos
Yo Brad I’m looking for the bet Bcar for the seagull, with Gen 3 HE non bamboo darts. I’m running it with the 1.6 250 spring and the stock 1.4 280 spring with short barrel on both. What’s your top recommendation? Me budget is 50$
Does anyone know what Filament they use for the Black. I am trying to make some 3d printed parts but cant get the color to match. I think they use PETG
Is the bolt ambidextrous? Can you swap it to the left? I've got a handicap on my right hand, cant use it to prime. Would love this blaster, but only if i can prime it with my left hand. Please let me know. Thanks in advance
Looking at the website there is no eta, or fps or anything. What would be the fps with the included hardware and the eta for delivery from when I buy it
Hey Bradley will you be reviewing any real firearms? have you got your licence? I think you should throw a few in here and there haha would be awesome! for us legal shooters. Thanks champ
What would be the best Scar barrel under 20$ on out of darts for the seagull with the short barrel and 1.4x280 spring with Gen3 He non bamboo darts, as my scar is almost as if it’s a defect and is way to tight on the barrel. I need pliers to get it of, and the performance is abysmal.

is it legal to own one of those in NSW?
You might be able to add uhmw or Teflon tape to the bolt or inside the receiver where it sits to eliminate the plastic on plastic?
I think what ever you add would eventually wear away and require replacing. Dry Teflon spray could be the easiest way to apply it.

This might be more viable than airsoft snipers, especially the 400fps version
i bet if you line the contacting slide walls with teflon, like those reusable baking/grilling oven sheets it'll eliminate the scratching sound?
Can you do 40m then 50m range test also adding how much angle you have to aim up

How did you get that textured surface with the PETG?? Also that filament seems to sparkle, what is that?

I cant see a way to contact and ask on their website.
I wouldn't even bother, I'm uk based too, these things are fragile, that's why brads the only one with a video as of yet.

I do think the metal upgrade kit should include a replacement bolt assembly to remove this problem entirely
Confirmed by DTB thats half the reason their launching the metal parts @BradleyPhillipsYT
Ahhh I remember when I was the only one following this months ago.
I’m a bit afraid of snapping the bolt or bolt handle off
Would sticking some thin copper tape around the bolt help to reduce the zipping sound?
Possibly, worth a try
Nice!
Remember when "nerf sniper" was a joke?
Its a shame more companies dont sell the STL files and just offer a parts kit so people can build these themselves.
Do you think the prime would eventually break does it seem durable? I noticed each time you were drawing it back it had some flex.
It has a metal core to it, so I doubt it. But there is a fully metal part coming to replace that as an upgrade.

The spring is a pain to swap, requires disassembling the entire front end. And yes using a Sabre BCAR would give a little better accuracy.
