Love the video, you guys crushed it on the table fare. Tip from out here in Southern California on how we look after our catch, we keep our killbags full of ice in the plastic bags and as soon as the first fish goes in we open up the bags and add a few cups of rocksalt as well as a bucket of seawater. This instantly drops the temperature in the bag and lowers the freezing point of the water. All fish we keep also get the royal treatment of a kill spike between the eyes and a knife around the gill rakes. One huge thing we've learned with tuna is that they are very "hot" after being caught and if they go straight into the ice after being caught they will melt a ton of it before they actually start cooling down, so instead for tuna over 20lbs (about 9kg) we soak a few towles in the icewater and lay them over the fish for about 5 minutes. We learned this all from our friends in the commercial bluefin tuna fishery, they also have recommended gutting any tuna over 25lbs before going into the ice bath for the absolute best quality. Keep up the awesome content, God bless!
Hey bud , I love when its you and Shawno out ... priceless combo you guys are ! Let Shawno know if he wants I'll fly over and re do all the wood on the Mojo for a Trip or two out with you legends . Of course a catch and cook up as well !! Cheers Mates !!
Great stuff lads, those are some fun and tasty species right there! The Goldy has been fishing quite well so far this Summer. I've found the Macks have been loving lures coloured like yakkas and the Watson's leaping bonito, so it was cool to see your choice of hardbodies was similar to what I've been using. Keep up the great vids mate and enjoy the feeds!!!!
Another great video brother! You're my favorite fishing you tuber! I've never been salt water fishing, fresh water only, and it seems like yall troll very fast..lol
Hey just wanted to say what’s up from New York . I love watching your video it’s make you feel like you’re on the boat with you and Sean-I with a couple friends or as you say with ya mates …. Lol
Sick video as always Sammy, live watching you and shauno out together. Also I live at 1770 and work at place that makes poke bowls, it is actually pronounced “pokay”
Great time had by all. What was the results of the Sushi off you did not give us the results?. Allways good to see Shauno out getting amongst it as well.
Good afternoon Legend , Regarding the little tunas you caught. I came across a video of a longliner , catching tuna , marlin, swords etc…. When doing the “royal treatment” on the tuna , they are brain spiked , obviously, and when if comes to bleeding, they are making an incision right behind the lateral fins. Instant results ! The fishes are dealt with accordingly , but the removal of the guts , gills , etc , is not what the crew is counting on when it comes to bleeding the fish properly. I thought I’d mention to you , as , I would be interested to know what you think and……if you were to try , what would you be your thoughts on it. As ever , thank you for the adventures. Chris from UK
Sammy we have been slaying Spanish over this last month off of Yeppoon we bagged out before Christmas on Spanish all over 115 and then we went out Friday last week and got two 120-130 Spanish and then this morning we got 4 and the biggest was 125 and smallest around that meter mark and all we do is float a unweighted pilly out the back while vertical jigging and bottom bashing
Shauno and You are like Batman and Robin....size wise too🤣🤣wahoo flesh is so dry...i prefer spano for soups and congee. have a fishfilled 2023!!! Both of you work well together.
Love the vid.👍 just curious what pound leader you would recommend trolling minnows and do you crimp the leader or just tie straight to the split ring.👍
Sammy. You don't always need to troll fast for fish. I once caught a 22kg wahoo whilst using my auxiliary motor to get back to shore on my old boat due to motor issues.
I am an admirer of your fishing, I live in Thailand and I would like to change my rods which are 6'.5 to fish the wahoo, can you tell me the power of your rods, the length if you don't mind. Thanks.Patrice
Poke bowls Fer days. We call the stripe tuna Aku in Hawaii. Red meat more flavor than yellowfin and makes very good cut bait. Also very good eating but doesn't last as long as yellowing. Some people don't like it.
Sammy another great video mate! entertaining as usual Q? Do you ever troll into the deep stuff 200m plus in summer whilst looking for deep dropping grounds? or do you not deep drop in summer? Also i know this video is on trolling but with deep dropping is it true where you find nannygai excuse the spelling! you will find bar cod? similar ground / country? cheers in advance David.

Shawn’s boat looks a dream to fish out of. Not sure it’d be much fun at the gas station, but for hauling in fish it’s perfect. Nice trip 👍

Question: Are spreader bars popular at all in Australia? Everyone uses them here on the east coast of the US.
Hey Sammy, how'd you go today? I saw you getting ready to head out at the boat ramp this morning.
Hey Sammy, where did you get the Super Bag? Just checked Icy Tek, and their website doesn’t list it. Thanks
Hey mate, yeah it’s on their website.
Here’s the link 👍👍

Great fishing but I must say that Mojo is the rolliest boat I have ever seen, you both must have cast iron constitutions!
Loving "Mojo"
What boat is it? Looks like a Grady white express? Either way 💯 content ❤
If Seano drives your boat like his 4wd..... u in trouble
