They are complaining that there’s evil in the school… Yet they have a section specifically designed for evil! How does that make sense?
The evil students (Nevers) in the school have no power. They are training to be evil but are still under the control of officials. Sophie on the other hand is actually powerful, out-of-control powerful. That’s why they’re worried
Look at it symbolically (evil mixed with good).... It's basically a reminder that evil is rooted in the hearts of man....like for real.
School Master in the book: all mysterious and suspicious, finally unveils his face and ends up being evil and wanting Sophie to be evil
School Master in this trailer: If Sophie is evil we won't survive also you all see me way more than you should

I've never read the books but I'm willing to guess they say the real story is different. Snow White and Cinderella are now warrior princesses in their story.

Really wish they hadn't given so much away in the trailer. It started out so intriguing and then just devolved into "here's the entire show. plz watch it." I like the cast though.

Yes, however if you’ve read the book, Agatha is seemingly evil and Sophie is seemingly good, however they’re put into opposite schools. I hope that didn’t come off condescending at all, I just reread the book and sure it seems stupid from an outsiders perspective but as they say, the book is better than the film and I highly recommend reading the book
It's breaded on the bike of the same name. If they try to cram all of it into one, it might flop but it's a good story

@@dazjeahaynes6221 it really doesnt seem stupid..some ppl rather 'judge a book by its cover' rather than find out for themselves.....I haven't read the book and this looks great...its literally a tv show about fantasy and people still want it to be 'real' to their expectations...just enjoy the cinematic adventure and escape the world for 30-40mins
every story needs an antagonist. Without them, there is no story.

Since this comment section is not it, i am telling you, read the book. Yes the plot is interesting, im a full grown-up and still the story is actually really good, emotional and funny, and the adaptation seems to be great too. Now let’s not judge every movie because it « makes no sense » or because it’s « deja vu »; read the book, it makes actually very much sense. And maybe watch the movie too, because maybe you’ll be surprised. (Im not english, dont come at me)

I agree with you! People are being really mean for no reason, and without knowing anything about the story. I am 19 and have recommended this book to some friends and all liked it pretty much so yeah the book makes sense!

Nope! Not in this story! There is WAY too much that goes on in this story and barely any of it is given away in this trailer. This trailer just shows the basic premise of what the story is centered on, Sophie and Agatha and how they grow together and individually into who they are.

Pass. Haven’t ever really been a fan of Feig’s films (I’ve tried but I just don’t find them to be any good at all). To be fair though, this isn’t really geared towards me, so I think my nieces or my wife might be intrigued. 🤷🏻♂️

Second, way to spoil what is probably the major plot twist of the whole movie. 🙄
😂😂😂😂😂 Loooooool the “plot twist” of Sophie turning evil was foreshadowed since the very beginning of the book. There are tons of other plot twists throughout the story that are much crazier, including the ending one which you never even saw coming.

theres a school for good and evil to teach the students about the world and their enemies and prepare them for their fairy tales after graduating the school.

Is this a Womanized version of Harry Potter? looks like 80% of all leading characters in this is female. Not against it, just pointing it out, all of those scenes have happened in Harry Potter which are very occultic shows tbh... it was like a witch spell to watch as kid, same harry potter movie 3 times after eachother.
