Hi Dave, l drive the same car M3 Highland in Melbourne, Australia. Everything is good about this car except one major issue. There is a blind spot area in front of the car. Camera mounted on top of the windscreen cannot see about 3 feet in front of the front bumper. Therefore, the car cannot park drive nose in, to a desired distance. This issue is very much highlighted by others. I think, the failure to have a front bumper camera has made it difficult for Tesla to address this issue. Please comment on this issue in your next video.

There is an aftermarket install (i1Tesla did a video about it) that allows you to close the door by pressing the brake.

As someone who’s torn between the MY and M3…I really appreciate all the videos and information. I’m very petite and Kathy’s view are amazing. My husband and I are getting close to buying
I never regret buying the M3 but my MY is so so much more practical and versatile in everyday life. Never regretting the switch either, would not want to go back to M3 again.

I’m putting my money on the new Porsche Macan EV this fall!
Been a long time viewer, yup Kathy is getting her Porsche back but she won't get it unless it has the Tesla charger port.
I have to say, that's the first time i've ever heard someone say that a COOLED seat makes you feel like you peed yourself. Usually that's the heated seats. Who has cold pee?
And as for the cabin noise.... I currently drive a 2023 Model Y Long Range. I'm actually trading it in for a 2024 Model 3 Performance. I think what makes the new Model 3 sound so much quieter in the cabin is that, in the Model Y, it seems like you hear a lot more noise just from the suspension travel. Just the improvement in the cabin quietness, the smoothness of the ride over even smaller bumps (and not hearing the tires/suspension/etc... when going over smaller bumps), the ventilated seats (not getting white this time, not great with a leather coat).... I knew I should have waited last year when i bought my Model Y... but I don't know why I didn't.

I got my Model 3 2024 LR a month ago. Will never go back. It had a better build quality than my old MB E350 -- not a single problem or fit and finish issue. It just works. And the sound system is MUCH better than I was expecting.

I have a 2022 RWD Model 3 and absolutely adore it. I'll never part with our Ultra Red 2023 Model X Plaid for anything tho. Thanks Dave!!

Finally! Someone else feels the way I do about the cooling seats. I had them in my Lexus and I HATED it. It always felt like I peed my paints as Kathy said. Don't miss it in my model 3 at all.
Kathy said cooled, not heated seats. Remember, by default, they are off. You don’t have to use them. When very hot from a round of golf, I love cooled seats.
How many of us can compare something to peed pants when we haven’t done that since a toddler?

14:18 Perl (2023 MY LR AWD) sometimes has more wind noise coming from the passenger side than I would expect. Could her doors or windows be out of adjustment? or am I being too picky. Perl is still the quietest car I've ever owned.

Hey Dave! Nice videos as always but I would never switch, not even temporarily, a Model X Plain to a small and simple Model 3 unless I’m planning to do Uber with it lol. Even worse when I’m more than 6 feet tall! Hell no, too small and simple of a car for me.
Test drove the 2024 M3 RWD on February 9, 2024 accompanied by a Tesla rep. Thought the POS (Not Point of Sale lol) was going to roll over when I did a quick left/right maneuver (similar to a race car warming up its tires) at only 40-ish MPH on a straight/level roadway. Tesla rep advised the 2024 MYP has similar ride comfort, and a significantly more superior road-holding ability, and the dude told the truth! The stock 2024 MYP has it all. Oh btw, the 2024 MYP costs just $5K more (out-the-door), for a $7,500-tax-credit qualified purchaser as of this writing, comparing to the 2024 M3 RWD in a cash or financing buy!
As far as selecting P-R-N-D in the new Model 3......isnt there overhead push buttons for that near the rear view mirror by the sun visor? Can you confirm that?
It is there but should only be used as a backup if the screen is not responding and that’s a BIG IF
congrats but I won't buy a new one without stalks, glad I grabbed a new Y performance before the update rumored next year

Based on the horrible depreciation of EVs, is’t it better to buy a previously owned model or lease a new one? However, don’t kid yourself on a lease. The anticipated depreciation is factored in residual value.

You are always gushing about the glories of a new car. At first. Then comes a chorus of nitpicking before you buy another new one. You change cars like some people try new restaurants. What does this say to potential EV buyers who can't do that? I'm glad you like your Model 3 now. But I wonder how long that will last?

No, Dave has purchased numerous EVs & hybrids that are not Teslas. I’m certain his short term EV buy list excludes Tesla. My bets are on a Porsche or Lucid Gravity.
