The 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery supported by the Royal Canadian Artillery Band marching up to Windsor Castle to takeover from the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards
It is so good to see the different bands from the other countries just love it ,,,sound fantastic a few different way the guards do the guns ,their own way and sound
Sadly, it is now a necessity that military musicians have armed protection whilst undertaking public duties. The murder of members of the Royal Marines Band Service in a bombing at Deal and musicians of the Band of the Royal Green Jackets in a London park, while giving a public concert, illustrate this only too well.
@@alastairorr3802 Well put, lighting a few candles then looking for someone to blame the next time it happens because there was no police presence is definitely not a solution.
It always disappoints me that a police officer in a yellow jacket is right in front of the band. Always! Surely they could be 50 feet further up the road. It just spoils the view and for no real practical purpose that could not be achieved being a little further ahead or off to the side.
Fantastic video! Great to see the Royal Canadian Artillery Band!
The marches played were,
1) Wellington
2) Arromanches
3) Westward Winds
4) Arnhem
Great rich sound from this full band , a lovely crisp blend of brass and woodwind. A classic British military sound!
Thanks and glad you enjoyed it
Kinda sad to think how the UK's Royal Artillery Band doesn't even exist anymore (amalgamated/dissolved now to form British Army Band Tidworth).
th-cam.com/video/U7vFa0hHzcQ/w-d-xo.html It is a tragedy that the RA band (former Woolwich band) was consigned to history !

Always a treat to see other Regiments and troops from Commonwealth Countries on Public Duties
Great work, 1RCHA, RCA Band & 1 Coldstream.
Awesome video
Whats that policewoman doing she spoils the look. Nothing personal.
Look. .the Constablette is in step.
Want the lady with sun glases join the band? ;-))
Was it really necessary to have those guys with loaded rifles on the streets of Windsor .
The simple answer is YES! They are there to protect the public

Yes! Where have you been for the past 40 years??

I must admit I do enjoy watching plod trying to keep in front of the Light regiments.
I totally agree. A Police car would look so much more professional.
Probably please the officers tasked to lead the guards up the hill, but unless it was electric you would upset someone!
Sadly, as a Sapper, the band is great! But they still are Gunners! Up the Sappers! Chimo!
