Thanks Jen for being Real. There are many of us that work full time and have family to take care of and it’s not realistic to cook from scratch daily, sometimes it’s hard enough to get to work on time, laundry, clean the house, grocery shopping, and the million other things on the To Do list. Thanks for the ideas, 💕
Kudos to you Jen! You are posting realistic meal prep for the normal family. I love your ideas! As a single nester I can use your ideas with making only a few modifications. So tired of meal prep for families of 10!!😄
I am cracking up. I am on my own for dinner tonight and decided to keep it quick and easy. I made a burger (I buy the Impossible patties) waffle fries, and a salad. Then I sit down to watch this video and see my exact meal! It really is easy and always delicious!
Between work, and school and extracurricular activities and on top of that I'm a full time student now, there are some nights I don't get dinner served till 7 or 8 at night. I love that you are realistic and honest with this video! 🥰
Absolutely love short cuts for meals because I live by myself so anything easy beats me spending money on fast food and Uber eats...I can't wait to try some of your ideas 💡 thank you for your consistent posting on your channel
Usually I love to cook, but when my eating disorder acts up, feeding myself can be really hard. These kind of meals are life savers. An easy dinner with some convenience products is infinitely better than no dinner.
Seriously yummy looking meals! There's nothing wrong with putting together easy meals. This world is so hectic, and feeding the family the most efficient way is OK. That way too, more time with your family.
I have absolutely made almost every one of these meals in one fashion or another. Back when we had all 4 kids at home, Working full time, and hubby was going to night school at university. I was just thankful to have a fast meal that we could all sit down and eat together every night. It was more important to me that we had a meal at home and together than it was about gourmet cooking . When I had time I always did from scratch cooking. But man! Some days were just rough!🤷🏻♀️
I love dehydrated potatoes in the au gratin box you showed. I usually get the ones that are more cheesy and I should hate that I like them but they are so good. I also use less water and I make it up with more butter and milk. In general, I love potatoes. Heck, I am a potato and shaped like one!
Just what I needed! Especially as a very teacher this month . Favorite part was showing the process on the spot of going in finding a quick option- thank you! Will be trying several of these
This is my kind of video. On the busy week day when I've ran everyone to and from school done all the errands and all the chors, the last thing I want to do is spend hours cooking. I haven't found myself getting into freezer meals yet. So I like easy. I've tried meal kits but they can be very involved and take to long to follow all the steps. Thanks. Keepem coming.
I love the Little Potato Company! I’ve only purchased the bagged potatoes though (dynamic duo is my favorite!) Quesadillas are a go-to for us. I use Joseph’s large wraps from the deli section (the company that makes the lavash bread - yum, too!) instead of tortillas because of the added protein. They crisp up really well!
My friend made these maple chili potatoes with little potatoes from aldi. She boiled them, smashed them and then fried them in a skillet with butter, maple syrup and chili powder. They were so delicious!!
It all looks delicious. We can't cook every night, it just to much! I cook to meals for all week, then throw in some frozen, like orange chicken, with veggies, hamburgers , I made a stew, and potato soup, the rest of the ham, with the soup. We need to pace ourselves, do what working, it a busy time.love the idea's!
I love this video! I love to cook but sometimes just get bored and burned out, I went on to check out fresh ideas and this video was so helpful! Good job! 🎉
Hi Jen! I'm new from Christine's channel and I'm digging your approach to shortcut food that is much more nutritious than take out! And I remember eating those au gratin potatoes too. They're good!
Cooked meat in the freezer is my absolute go to for fast food. Whether it’s leftover turkey or ham or I intentionally prep ground beef or chicken breast ahead and freeze it. Also seafood night is a favorite. I throw butterfly shrimp and salmon in the oven while I microwave a bag of broccoli and some potatoes or rice pilaf.
I absolutely loved that you did a short cut meals video. I love those potatoes, but I do cut mine in half and put them on a different baking pan. I like them crispy to and they don't seem to crisp up crammed in that small tin. Thanks for the great easy dinners.
All these years I thought that I was the only one that didn’t want to do gourmet meals seven nights a week and I’ve been trying to come up with like meals when I don’t really want to cook so I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one out there that doesn’t like to cook their husband a gourmet meal seven nights week
I’ve been trying to dupe a similar dressing from a restaurant in central California. I added apple cider vinegar and a little sugar and hot and sweet paprika with 1/4 c ketchup and mayo instead of French dressing, garlic and onion powder and pepper. It tastes very similar to the restaurant I went to. Sadly that restaurant is closed due to retirement so I can’t do a side by side test when I visit my family.
For the little potatoes, I love to just buy the bag…I always par boil first and then drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary & then roast in the oven at 425 until they at yummy (20 minutes or longer:))
@@Jen-Chapin Hi Jen! 👋 Our local supermarket makes ready to go taco or fajita kits with freshly prepped ingredients from their kitchen. There really are so many options now that are not only healthier, but cheaper even! 🤷♀️🙆♀️ As always, love all of your content Jen! ❤️
Ummmm Hy-Vee stuffed pork chops are amazing. I’ve only ever bought them when they’re on sale but they’re delicious, freeze well for later, and cook really quickly. YOM
My husband works nights, he doesn't very often want to eat dinner anymore. (Because it's dinner for breakfast for him) he lives in his truck at work so taking food isn't very convenient either. (Working on getting something for christmas) cooking for myself and my picky toddler it isn't as easy to stay motivated. So I NEED some easy meals. My toddler tends to enjoy them more anyways
Great meals, thank you. I'm not personally tempted to go through a drive thru...I just don't like the food. I know I don't want to cook tomorrow but I need to. Sheet pan chicken fajitas is an easy go to for me.
I actually do get those potatoes 😁 and I always take them out of the container they come in, I know that they can cook in it but I just prefer seasoning them in the containers and then I put them on an baking sheet or on my grill pan or in my air fryer! I find they stay better for longer without cooking them (growing eyes ect) than just buying the bulk baby potatoes
I hate that about social media. Shaming other for what they eat. Specially with the hard times we are all living. Gas prices and groceries are insane!!! The constant shame has to stop. Everyone is just honestly trying to survive. And some dont care for being healthy and thats a choice they have, jo need to shame.
I really struggle with this myself. I tend to shame myself for buying convenience foods. I feel like as a SAHM I "should" be making a scratch meal every night. We end up eating out multiple times a week. I might as well buy some blackened tenders and bagged salad or even corn dogs and tater tots, even pizza rolls! It is way healthier than the crap we are eating take out like McD! Even nuggets and fries at home is healthier than the stuff at the fast food places! We just got an upright freezer so I am hoping to make some easy freezer meals, doubling taco meat and freezing half, that type of thing. I am hoping it helps us eat take out less.
Hello Jen really enjoy all your content, I have a concern because i purchased Lume and used your code but only received about 4$ off not sure if its a glitch, What a great product Meno pause has came my way and Lume works Great!! Take Care

All of these meals look Absolutely DELICIOUS!!😋😋
Great ideas, I loved this video! Also, thanks for the tip when cutting the quesadilla! 🥰
Try just dumping a bag of little spuds in the air fryer, spray with oil, shake on some of your favorite seasoning, 12-15 minutes. YUMMM
I will try that!! 😊
Oh, and right now Aldi has Barilla no boil lasagna sheets for like $2.68ish. Thought you might like to know since you’re the lasagna queeeeeen 👑.

Pro tip: save your bacon grease and use it in place of butter on your green beans. Delicious!

For a real time saver when making burgers pull out that griddle that's at least 6-8 patties at once

Cilantro tastes like soap to me but everything else 👍
I know this is so random. But I want to be apart of your family. Lmao. Can I be your daughter?? 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
I havent eaten fast food in years.. doesn't even taste like real food
There has to be a better word than plantation dressing. Just doesn’t feel good. Southern style or country style French is what it looked like.
I didn’t like those potatoes either.
