Very well said and put together pal. You're right in what you say I think - we play a pretty unique brand of football. A lot of our goals come from the break/in transition, yet we create those with how we hold possession and bait the press. We've actually found it easier this season compared to last because more teams in L1 were happy to park the bus with a low block. That's a system we still struggle to break down. But honestly, pinch us Town fans. We are dreaming.
I am from Leicester, went to see Ipswich last season against Wycombe Wanders. Won 4 nil, very exciting team to watch. Impressed that much I put a bet on for them to win the Championship before the season started. Also they have more than half a dozen players who can score goals.
I'm a Tow-en fan so I loved that :) But even if I wasn't a fan of FK Traktor Ipšvić, I'd tell you that was an intelligent, superbly presented analysis :) Thanks for making this vid :)
Great vid, thanks. All good points. You could add that the club as a whole off the pitch is galvanised and rejuvenated. Getting 30,000 in league one and selling out home and away, well managed and run, good owners and leadership.
Yeah, the takeover was huge in “bringing it back” suppose that whole thing has worked in partnership with McKenna to get Ipswich in the position they’re in
@@jacobhorsfall We were in the doldrums for years with an "owner" who didn't seem bothered about the team's performances. That's in the past. The number of goals conceded is an issue that you were right to mention. We tend to concede fewer goals away from home. I think promotion from League 1 to the Championship is a step, whereas from the Championship to the Premiership is a leap. If we get promoted I'm confident the club will prepare for that new era. Very impressive video, cheers.
Top notch analysis. I’ve watch every Ipswich match this season and I couldn’t get near to that. I’m off to see who else you’ve analysed. Keep up the good work 👏👍
I don't think anyone expected 50+ points before Christmas, outside of maybe McKenna. It's incredible they're doing this with pretty much the same team that started in League 1. The next three games are Norwich / Leeds (A) / Leicester which will show us a lot.
Wes Burns, Chaplin, Leif Davis, Morsy, Hladcky, Hirst, Harness, Broadhead and even Luongo and I am sure I have missed out a few names, but we have so many players that show something of high quality when it matters. We play a very attractive brand of football.
My team is Ipswich, like how we are doing this season but I wish we could tighten up our defence. Had a bet on Ipswich to win the Championship, so hopefully it will come off.
First comment, I win. Thumbs up, lad! A well considered, researched and presented vid. You've a pleasant demeanour and a rather unusual voice. Get volunteering with your local stadiums and radio stations, and see what you can develop from there. Good channel, but I can't help thinking you could be destined for greater things.
If you use when we went up last time you should be anything but worried. We finished 5th. We only then struggled as bought foreign players which in hindsight even Burley would tell you was a mistake.
@@jacobhorsfallthis is what so many people don't understand. You always hear "How can a league 1 team be doing this?".... We actively built a team in league 1 that we knew could be competitive in the championship. Not just a team that would be good enough to get out of league 1.

@@geoffpoole483 appreciate the kind words!
Even if you were to go up and come back down it would be massive for the clubs development and future!
Thanks for the video Jacob, nice words. Uppa the town 💙 🤍 🧡 ⚽️ 🖤
My pleasure!!
Great video, a great feel around the club and hope momentum continues. Morsy a great starting point and Ipswichs strongest asset imo.

Appreciate that! 🤝
Great analysis. Well done fella

@@jacobhorsfall we’re all buzzing! We haven’t beaten them for so long and just hoping we can play like we normally do
Good video, you have done some excellent research! Nice jumper too.

First comment how old are you 😂
What a video
Knew they were good when they gave us two hard games in the cup
I worry how they'll do in the premier league. Go back in history and look at what happened to G Burley's side back a few decades ago.
If you use when we went up last time you should be anything but worried. We finished 5th. We only then struggled as bought foreign players which in hindsight even Burley would tell you was a mistake.
Uppa towen
This is proof you can't win anything at Manchester United it's more than just the coaches
Everything at the club, mate.
Horrific feeling throughout the club which leaks from the very top through to the fans… toxic.
L1 squad still really
Except it was a championship squad when in league one! They bought for the championship.
The players they signed had championship experience, more so a championship side in league one!
@@jacobhorsfall also in January they bought four championship players
