In my opinion the best spot for a base is on the fire mountain where the castle is, there's a skill fruit tree right outside the castle wall there's about3-4 trash piles nearby and 2 chests. I started out the base paying foundation at the entrance then used pillars to extend it over a very uneven ground me and a friend made an amazing castle here and it's our favorite base even though we both built separate ones of our own this is the shared base
I hope they add new pals and new pal types and maybe like weather events like storms and blizzards and sand storms when in certain areas that has like a rare pal spawn with the event and only the event
Hmm, there’s quite some useful locs, but I’ve watched a couple vids across a couple different channels and I’m curious why nobody has mentioned -791, -266. Sure it doesn’t have much resources, but it’s a nice open space which makes it great for setting up your mining base especially since the better miners are bigger bois like Blazamat and Astegon who kinda need the open space otherwise you’re going to spend like 5m everytime trying to fight with them to do the task you want instead of buggering off randomly in most other places, especially if you build a lot to have defenses if the location isn’t perfectly ideal, secondly the position itself appears secluded enough that raids will probably spawn nowhere where they can get to the base, and lastly, it’s right by Jetragon’s spawn area so if you’re trying to farm some decent ones with Yakumos for breeding, that’s less travel time.
One base spot that I really like is -160, -188. Huge flat plateau and raids are forced to funnel through a narrow path along the cliff on the west side of it for easy defends. It's a great breeding base.
The green outcrop on the North East side of the ice island is IMO the best spot. You can get an oil and quartz node inside 1 base. You are also right next to a fruit tree, 5 chests, and several supply drop locations - all great late game loot. In the late game it's the only base you need.

The render distance is really crazy in this game. I built a really tall viewing tower at the ore/coal mining mountain top location with a viewing tower box at top. I’m able to see the T shape from across the map.
You can make your game look even better if you go into \AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\Config\Windows\Engine.ini and add [SystemSettings] r.fog=0 r.volumetricfog=0 r.MaxAnisotropy=8 r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=1.5 r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale=0.05 foliage.LODDistanceScale=4 [at the top before [Core.System] also feel free to use any or all of these and change the numbers to suit your own style] Good luck!
That 3rd location you showed is really good. I went out there at level 15 and almost got killed. I went out at level 20 and was able to take it. That's going to be my main multilevel base.
I built a base a little bit up the yellow mountain more by the tree that gives fruit its a great spot to get mushrooms and leather because the direhowls spawn there you can easily kill a bunch and farm some leather. The mushrooms are great for recipes that keep your pals fed longer.
the best early base is the bridge right behind the chillet. it had enough resources till level 20. then find a new location and demolish this temporary base.
1:25 you can of course still place 6 oil extractors in the base. I just did it on my PS5 save like 2 days ago but i wouldnt recommend the location as a mainbase with 6 oil extractors working cause you need like atleast 6x level5 (level4 with 4 star) electric pals with nightactive perk and 6 generators or around ~10x level4 electric and around 15generators for a non stop production so there isnt much space for more production. Im still really mad that they didnt add a pure quartz farm (we have one for everything else... wood,stone,ore,coal,sulfur..) and you cant speedup oil production with your pals. The oil extractor should be useable for like 1-2 crafting pals to speed up the process

I did it by searching for videos/shorts for the specific oil spot i want to place them on and just 1:1 copied the allignment which is pretty easy just stop the video right before it gets placed and then try to get exact same placement. Atleast for this base location (the only one with 3 oil holes) there are videos for all 3 holes how it can be done
Truthfully there are no “best” base building locations. Early game if you have default game settings you want to find a spot that won’t constantly get raided and destroyed. Which means you want some place on a plateau with no roads or bridges leading up to it. If you look at snow covered peak with the lake in the center and the boss tower, just south of there are several good plateaus to choose from. I have two bases there. These plateaus have iron and coal and sulfur which is very useful. One of these plateaus has a lake and a waterfall. I built one base on this waterfall. And between the plateaus are valleys with lots of waterfalls coming off the snow covered peak. I built another base there on the waterfall. For oil of course the new island has many good spots. I even built one base on a mountain cliff overlooking the ancient city. Nice views up there. But late game you dont need any of that. You can mine anything anywhere.
I still got my base at one ofcthe old classic locations whith all the ore nodes lol. Now that we have dedicate ore mines to build i might cknsider relocating.
Never really understood point of glitching enemies to cheese them in this game when you can just adjust world settings, so you take zero dmg from them and do 5x more dmg to them. Seems like a lot of pointless effort to glitch something in this game when you have world settings that make glitching and dubbing items pointless.
Legendary gear is dropped as recipes from the legendary pals and some others. Also, from the Oil Rig "dungeon" . I would recommend trying to raid the Oil Rig and focus on the Gold Chest, but it's a hard place to be if you're not geared correctly or if your pals aren't powerful enough. To capture the legendary pals...well, I don't get what makes it so hard for you, but if you want a tip or guide without exploits, I would go first for Frostalion, it's the easiest one to defeat. Paladius and Necromus are quite hard because it's a duo, and Jetragon is very powerful too. You need at least legendary spheres and a good Capture level (at least 8).
@@deerslayer4658 keep it up, and use ice attacks and pals. If you can catch Frostalion first it will be really helpful. Also, having a good weapon like the rocket launcher is a must
The location of the thumbnail is the Mount Obsidian Anubis Statue at -540 -637. It's next to a fast travel point, and the middle landmass can be reached on foot from the fast travel point using a stone bridge generated by the game. The landmass in the middle has a skill fruit tree and two salvage piles. There is a scorching egg on the tail of the Anubis Statue, and even further back is a Liffmunk Effigy.

If ur on ps5 single player you can turn up how many bases u can have I haven’t had any crashes or lag issues
