For Finding the BPM I: 1. Tap on the Beat (MP3). 2. Press “Ctrl + E” to pull up Edison. 3. Then Press “F2” 4. Click “Auto-Detect” in Edison, Picking the Second Option. and BOOM, you got the bpm of the beat.
The things I dislike about technology is they need to learn how to get out of the way of the consumer. If we want to be creative we should be able to instantly and not have to go through so much just to do simple things. Generally speaking.

The following two (three) options are useful when you dont know what tempo your beat is in. It gives you ranges in bpm you want the bpm to be places: 50 - 100 75 - 150 100 - 200 This is because you can always define your bpm as double time. Lets say we have a (trap) beat and you want your bpm to be set between 100-200. Just click the option and fl will analyse your audio and gives you in most cases the exact right bpm. Some times it gives you for exampe 159.999 as Bpm, then just round it up to 160. alternatively you could set it 50-100 and it would give you the half time version (in the 160BPM case, 80BPM).It works very good, almost every time with beats and drum loops. When you only have melody samples it sometimes mess things up. Maybe they should make the layout more intuitiv. Once you used this a few times, you get frustrated to do it manually in other DAWs.
If I record with the effects on, then the vocal gets all the effects but what to do if I need the effects only while I am recording to get a feel of what I am recording and then in the final project I just want the raw vocals ?
I use fl to record my music and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to run the audio from the rec track to the effects track w/o it having 2 audios of my voice on top of eachother

Virtual DJ works perfectly for finding the tempo and key instantly and its free. I just open it while fl is open and click the instrumental and BOOM.
