- Don Baker had a tough upbringing in the Dublin tenements in the 1950s. While trying to provide food for his family by thieving, he was sent to Daingean industrial school in Offaly where he was physically and mentally abused. He struggled with addiction for years afterwards, despite his success as a musician and actor. After much self-reflection and therapy, he has now found peace.
