  • The CR Speed Ultra is the predecessor to the CR Speed Compact - another great race holster built by CR Speed. The Ultra has a few design updates but most notably the aluminum accent panels on each side providing some much needed bling. CR Speed makes top end gear.

    No Lipstick Here !! The ULTRA Holster does work on the Proven CR SPEED Mk1 Principle, which has enabled Eric Grauffel to win a total of 7 IPSC World Championships shooing everything from Production to Open Class..
    The ULTRA is fully CNC Machined out of Engineering grade Polymer and Grade 6 Aluminum. It is available in Left Hand version on order, and in a whole host of colors currently being Black, Blue, Silver and Gold.

    I have the holster myself. And had DAA, Ghost the One, Kydex etc. This holster is the best holster in my opinion. I use a Tanfoglio Stock 3 Extreme, Limited custom and my XDM as well all in one holster. And if you use A CZ S2 it will fit as well. With all of the other holster brands the weight is the problem. If your shooting IPSC the gun grip needs to be 5cm away of your body in
    (standard, production and classic devision. With the other brands the weight of the gun will can't the holster away from your body. With this holster this doesn't happen. For the price you can fit Tanfoglio, CZS2, Glock. If you choose the version for your gun with all the extra parts it will fit any gun. Using different spacers retention clips muzzle platforms. Overall @crspeed_gear the Ultra holster is the way to go. Just my opinion

      This is gibberish. Implying that you cannot achieve 50mm from belt with the other brands because of cant is false info. They have thigh bumpers that mitigate this effect and folks... it is not a problem I have CR DAA and Ghost. However, CR speed is very adjustable you can tweak cant and offset etc with a myriad of shims. Adjustability is a strong point of the CR system indeed. If your gun is heavy and canting too much your belt might be way too flexible. Get the most rigid belt you can find... DAA belts are really good for this.

      @@trevorkolmatycki4042 don't think you understand what I'm saying I have been called out by range masters to change my holster setup numerous times. And yes it was with these brands and DAA belt as well. So I know what I'm saying. If your using heavy guns this is a problem to many of these holsters and this information is not false its my findings

    I always have doubt with the CR Speed retention system. I had it before and it retain the gun by adding pressure to a plastic piece to lock the trigger guard area. But if anything bump hard on the grip where the magazine base pad area, the gun may still push out from the holster. It did not give me 100% peace of mind so I had changed to DAA Alpha X.

    Just ordered a CR Speed holster from manufacture. I like your review and decided to try it. Well what a joke, they are the worst for customer service, or should I say the lack of it. I ordered and paid for it and five days later they are still processing it. I have contacted them over and over again with no response, finally canceled order through my credit card bemuse CR Speed never responded back.

      Bernard: I started with CR, then tried DAA Alpha-x... then tried Ghost the one EVO. Each has their merits. I personally find Ghost 1 evos to be the best by a margin great enough that I've gone and replaced my CR and my DAA with new ghost evos. Now I have a CR and a DAA I need to sell.

    It looks like nothing more than a WSM with lipstick. It is the exact same retention system. The Ghost evo retention system draws more smoothly. Where CR speed shines is the adjustability that they come with to accommodate a larger variety of pistols that you might not find options for in Ghost or DAA. The CR trigger guard retention is more tolerant of geometric variations too.
    Muzzle support is nice. You spend a whole day wearing this clunky pistol at a match and you need to do things like sit down. I prefer smashing my holster into benches not my pistol barrel.

    • @battletestedshootingbattle7641
      @battletestedshootingbattle7641 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      All the brands new holsters are the earlier models with lipstick. It's called marketing. But at the end of the day I look what works for me. And those other brands simply just don't.
