I’ve been thinking that to. Though when I get older and can hopefully buy a home with a place for horses I might want the barn a little smaller. Big spaces make me nervous.
I really like the your philosophy on treating your horses! The way you will reprimand them, but only if necessary, and how you put that stress on warming up his body so well, etc. Lots of respect for you!!
"cross ties keep a horse straight" my horse ( somehow standing backwards and diagonally) "u sure about that?" lol he can be quite cheeky on the cross ties we are working on that rn
ily so much erin 🥺💕😭 your so incredibly beautiful and inspirational! Your honesty my guardian angel, you’ve helped me through so much and I couldn’t be more thankful for everything you’ve done for me xx
I absolutely loved this video! Could you possibly do a video on how you started black heart equestrian and all about the process! I really want to start my own branded as well ❤️
It good to see you telling him of because people who don’t have very un mannered horses 💓 I would love to see what I feed my horses video 💖 how is Gee so ADORABLE 🥰
I love you Erin Your my absolute Idol ilysm and you care for your horses so well and its clear how much you love all your horses, your such an amazing rider and your horses are all so adorable
He's so beautiful! I'm not sure if you've addressed this, but I'm just curious why you kept him a stallion? Is it mostly for the more muscular build? I ask because stallions as normal riding horses are quite uncommon where I live.
I’m actually happy you said you had to give him a tap for been naughty I have to with my calves they start head butting me so if I don’t tap their nose they will keep doing it and hurt me one day my calf Oreo has never tried to hurt me tho I have a lot of trust in her if she ever hurt me it wouldnt be on purpose 😁 💗 it would’ve been an accident
Lots of people wouldn’t like the fact we have to tell the horse off but it is a matter of safety and these are such big animals so they do need it occasionally😅🥰
I ususally have both brushes in my hands for mane and tail but I can't do that with a particular Spanish gelding because he would try to headbutt or nibble you a little aggressively and I have to tell him off a lot, he is a schoolhorse and was probably always like this, luckily he is usually an Angel while riding
It's been 8yrs since I rode and watching this brought back great memories thank you so much and yes G is such wonderful beautiful horse and you my dear seem like a wonderful lady with great horse sense I came across your video by accident and I just love your videos G and you are great together ❤️🐴❤️🐴❤️🐴❤️🐴love you guys
My mare yawns right before I put the bridle on as well but right when the bit gets need her face she closes her mouth and makes It hard to put on. I love your videos and Gee is GORGEOUS 🐎🐎🐎
8:39. I rode a gentle giant who is also muscles I think he might be shorter or around the same height and he is so sweet. He’s a Percheron, quarter horse or throughbred mix. When I fell off he was right there kinda just nudging me a little bit and when I put him back in the pasture, he was just following me around. Idk why he did that when I fell but he did
Your channel literally inspires me to get my channel up and running with my colts. I cannot wait to bring them home and maybe one day do a collab with you!
Gee is so handsome! I love is silky almost black coat, I just imagine you riding him in the winter snow. I can see you have a very special bond with your horses especially gee I can see you love each and every one of them very much and wouldn’t give them up for the world ♡ P.S your one of my favorite TH-camrs and I cant wait to see you do more videos 8n the future!
Yawning before being bridled is a their way of stretching out their jaw/mouth before the bit/bridle goes on so their muscles aren’t as tight or constricted! Nothing bad, not saying it means they don’t like bits, they just like to stretch their jaws!
He is so beautiful! I’m curious about spurs... Ive always been told they’re bad and that’s the end of that. What would be do if you didn’t have them? How do they make a difference and how do they work and not become painful for the horse? I’ve been riding for 22 years but never used them or known anyone who does, I’m ‘experienced’ in riding but I don’t show or compete at all which is why I haven’t ever known anyone use them - I think!
I think it depends on the type of spurs and how they are used, but I don’t use them either, not really my thing either. Spurs are used to make your directions more precise, but some people do use them to hurt their horses unfortunately, they want them to respond to fear and pain :(
You don't ride with the spur on constantly. It's a more precise way to communicate with the horse when you're doing lateral work. A confused horse is not a happy horse so they're not necessarily "bad". They should only be used by riders that can use their leg accurately.
My horse yawns before i put the bit also, but i alway give her 5 yawns before i put the bit in because yawning actually releases chemicals in their brain that makes them happier! Next time give lil cute Gee a yawn or 2 💖💖💖
Wow my horse is a 14.1 20 year old gelding with one eye and a white blaze and a few spots, and he's as shiny as Gee! And he still jumps 1.10! PS love you and your vids! He also has a majestic tail like Gee.
To give him something to chew in he’s stable Tie a jolly ball it keeps my horses entertained you can also do it on a float but I would totally recommend a stronger one
Have you tried giving him oranges or bananas as a treat? My horse loves oranges and I gonna try him on bananas next time I ride and I’m so excited to see what he thinks 🙃
@@theerinwilliams My horses LOVE mangoes. And it is very hard to find them something they like. For smaller treats I do buy a loaf of sliced bread, cut it into cubes, spray it with olive oil and turn them into chips in the oven, after that I spray them again and roll them in cinnamon (For laminitis prevention) and sugar. Otherwise, I bake a cookie out of ground oats, peanut butter, honey, cinnamon, dried mint, a small mashed banana, and some oil to keep it all together.
He is the most beautiful stallion I ever saw😍 ... But I agree that is better to give him carrots than just solid sugar cuz carrots have enough sugar in them as well. But on sugar cube won’t hurt him 😁
I love you so much Erin! Gee is so pretty and cute! I take lessons at a barn near where I live and I finally am riding there 16.2 hand Suffolk Punch named Cedar! I used to ride a 14.2 hand haflinger named Gideon! My instructor finally said that Cedar is a better fit for me!! I rode when I was 6 or 7 years old at a different barn (I’m 14 now). I’ve only been riding since July 11th,2022. I think I’m going to ride Gideon sometimes. I don’t know though
I am a English horse back rider . Is there any tips to get pepared for cantering because I have not cantered yet I’ve just trotted and walked and posted and I’ve gotten better at posting and my diganils and I have acadentilly cantered before because one of my sturrps fell from my boot while I was trotting and posting and the horse started cantering but instead of crying I just laughed it off and it was fun and I made sure I was okay and the horse was okay but any tips to get pepared before I canter ? And I’m also practicing jumping positions but Fr any tips for canter
I would love to have a horse like gee I’m still lurning how to ride properly I would love to see a video of you showing us how to ride! Ly and the horses make my day way better
The reason why he is backing "into" the wall can be because he is hair-sore. My horse is hair-sore so it could be a possibility. You are really good with horses by the way :)
I noticed this is old video and my comment comes in late but just a though; Him moving from side to side while saddling- when was his saddle fitted with professional- as we know muscles/his posture changes and he might've gained muscles and his saddle doesn't fit like it used to? He is beautiful ❤
I love Gee he is so Cute, but Sonny and Teddy is my favourite. So can you pleas post more off them? I dont say that i dont wanna see things of Gee. He is Cute but Sonny and Teddy is owning my heart🥺
When he walks out of the box like that, make him go back again, wait for a while and then lead him out when YOU want. Just to show him that you decide when he gets out
I do not want this to come off as hate at all, just information. To me, it looks like he might have a slight ulcer problem. The nibbling on stuff, the girthiness, biting their blanket and sensitivity on their skin are all symptoms. Yawning can also be a sign. If you can, please look into it. Ulcers are extremely common in horses and they do NOT mean you take bad care of your horse. But they are very painful/uncomfortable for the horse and should be treated. As said before, please don't take this as hate, this was just meant as information. Kind regards!
No one talking about how magnificent that stable is! OMGGGG. I also think Gee is adorable.
I’ve been thinking exactly the same...I’m just 4 months late 😂😂😂
I’ve been thinking that to. Though when I get older and can hopefully buy a home with a place for horses I might want the barn a little smaller. Big spaces make me nervous.

Hey! Gee is stunning! Just a question Is he stabled 24/7 or does he go out on pasture in the day etc and what is the reason for the answer?
