to me, the difference is that LP was very outspoken about their AI vids sourcing from artists that have personally consented, but people probably dont consider that. its usually AI = automatically bad. it goes deeper than that, theres ways to do it right without theft or endangering opportunities for live talent. i hope BMTH did the same thing as them, that would suck to see them steal art.
@@CarlosHuiskens isnt that worse? BMTH used AI live for something that even artists can't do in real-time. Music videos would be worse because they could've used artists to render their video

Honestly lockdown is the only break they've ever had if you think about it all the way back to the Bedroom sessions, they've constantly been putting music out year after year and a full album roughly every 2 years, they need this breather because Oli and Jordan did so much demoing throughout lockdown without resting, Oli needs this and whenever the band do return, they'll own that year in music.
My album of the year was "From Zero" by Linkin Park but Nex Gen was also a great release. Hope the guys will manage to get their well-deserved break and then come back with some more mind-blowing music.
Kinda interesting how they talk about having time off since Jordan Fish left. My bet is they’re struggling to recreate the sound Jordan shaped so perfectly for them over the years.
@@aspirationrecords gonna have to disagree with you there bud, when you lose your bandmate who does all the heavy lifting it's very hard to get aligned spiritually with other producers and have them do the heavy lifting and care like you do. I really got the vibe that the tour this year was going to be a farewell before a hiatus, tbh. For everyone saying oh the new album is just as good they don't need Jordan!! - they wouldn't have got to where they are now without all the pushing the envelope and genre blending from Sempiternal onwards, the creative partnership between Oli and Jordan was really evident in the vlogs for the first Posthuman (still my fave album of theirs). Without him on backing vocals, and damn he had a good voice, you can hear Oli's voice has unfortunately taken quite a hit. I'm not having a dig at him there either, his transition to being a decent singer starting from zero would have taken a LOT of hard work The other factor is age - he's only a few years younger than me and it's just a fact that you don't bounce back as well as you did in your early 20s and you can only push yourself so hard before your body goes hey mate knock that shit off and it will MAKE you rest. I dont really care about the next album. They can take 5 years for all I care. I just want to see them do a proper headlining us tour before they take a break. What band puts out an album and doesnt tour it? What is this, spiritboxs eternal blue? Lmao!
Huge bmth fan, discovered during suicide season era and kept up with them ever since. it really does seem they have not taken a break since the pandemic really, and they do need one
If you haven't seen bmth live your missing out! I've seen them 4 times now. Last time I saw them was in Tampa and oli went into the crowd went all the way to the back and gave everyone in the nose bleeds high fives and hugs! I can't even tell you how many people including me were crying tears of joy and disbelief that he came all the way to the back, that never happens at that venue! Man we need a proper headling us tour before the break!!
Seriously. FOB tour dust was the first time I'd seen them in TEN YEARS since warped tour. Would love to finally be able to catch a bmth headliner. Especially in support of, arguably, their best album.
As someone who has grown up with these guys (I was 14 when I became a fan) the first time I heard for Stevie wounders eyes only, I was absolutely in love with their music. I have loved all the recent stuff. But if I were to hear just a couple of deathcore tracks, I know I'd feel like a kid again. But kool-aid is the best song they have released since 2013.
Loving the Post Human era. As much as I would love another, them taking care of themselves is ultimately the top priority. Of course it benefits them but it also benefits us as fans. Whether the album after the break is another PH or a new sonic direction for them, I'm sure it will be good.
As a listener of bmth for the last 15 years, the new album was so generic and safe. Remember when bmth goes away for 3 or more years, they come back with a really good album. It's time to take a break and refresh
Every band needs a break, I get it 100%, but I hope they do a US tour before they “go away” for a while. Seems like they’ve not really wanted to come here over the past 2 years or so. I think they did 1 show here this year, and the tickets were like 500 bucks

Not a fan of the new stuff but they are fantastic live so it is sad to see them go. Will have to see them on the next tour. Album(s) of the year go to Knocked Loose, Four Year Strong, and Bilmuri
as someone that hates the use of ai creating music, I dont really have a problem with the ai visuals. Even old bands like The Police technically used ai when making some old tracks, a computer-generated melody was on ghost in the machine I think. Ai is only a problem when it replaces creativity in the music.
They need a break and I'm sure gonna miss the boys but I understand NeX GEn was a hard album for them to make I hope they get well rested and throw big USA tour Edit: Just saw a video of Oli and he looks so exhausted he really needs a break
Definitely far from album of the year for me, but everyone can have their own opinions 😂. Great album and they were actually my top 2 for most listened artist on spotify.
the album is amazing, one of the best this year! agree that the experience would be better if we didn't had so many singles before, but amazing still. A few years from now, i think some people that didn't like it now will probably have a different opinion (as happened with almost all their albums)
BMTH are finally making exciting, interesting music again after 2 albums of watered down radio friendly pop rock and a half-decent EP. if POST HUMAN: NeX GEn is a sign of what’s to come from them moving forward, I really hope they take the time they need to focus on their mental and physical health in order to continue creatively.
Rest BMTH rest, live see the colours of the world and just experience mind for abit 🖤 They've just dropped a killer album they deserve a break, fans need to slow their roll, I get that you love them but mental health and how their feeling as human beings is important to.
Nah dawg, u put an an album, you headline tour that album around the world. Unless you're not famous. But they are. So we're due up for a us headliner next yr
I understand his mental health also needs to be focused on, but I also I’m tired of being over promised and under delivered PH2 was delayed by 3 1/2 years, and it was all on the basis that ph2 would be a BIG album and ph3 would come soon afterwards, implying the next year. Furthermore, as someone who lives in the USA, he hasn’t toured here since fall 2022, and that tour was basically just the east coast +LA and Vegas. This goes for their previous us tour of 2018-2019, except that one was cut short due to a vocal injury Anyways, I hope he gets better mentally, and I hope he is okay, but I’m also tired of waiting on so many things and being told that things are right around the corner when they aren’t
They toured here in summer 2023. Yes, it was an opener slot, but still technically a full tour. Really hope they do a headliner for nex gen here tho, would stank if not. Still never got to see them do a proper show in 14 years due to their abysmal US touring.
I mean, they have been touring since 2021 and with their shows next year it will be 4 years in a row, that's too much hahaha. They deserve a rest. I'm gonna miss this guys but looking forward for the future of the Post Human series.
Nah. Need to do a US headliner in support of new album, not trying to get a year and a half late tour situation like eternal blue. If it was too much for them, they shouldnt have taken a US opening slot the summer before they were about to release a new album.
Ya know,I’m a 44 year old metal head from way back and I have never in my life listened to anything from BMTH, it’s not that I don’t like em or heard anything bad about em,on the contrary, pretty much everything I’ve heard has been good except a few years ago when ppl were saying “they sold out” because they weren’t “as heavy” as they once were and actually I did hear a little clip or something on a podcast or TH-cam when they were comparing their old music with their new and to be honest the newer music wasn’t my cup of tea so I just never checked em out, which is weird because growing up buying CD’s I’d read in the album jacket who all the members of the band thanked and would go buy an album based on because another band I liked name dropped em, and almost every time I got a good CD,I can tell ya the 2 times I got “bad” CD’s and didn’t like em,but yeah, I used to be very open minded about new music,I guess getting older has something to do with it,damn,I rambled 😂🤘
A great deal of the bands you discuss on here I don't give a toss about, but I don't want any of them to quit either, as long as they can leave minors alone.
They deserve the time off to recharge. It's good for mental health, and keeping the passion for their craft alive. Next Gen is in my top 3 for this year
Not my album of the year, but I definitely enjoyed it more than the last release. They deserve a break if they're reaching burnout. Hopefully a small hiatus at the most!
Not my album of the year but it is in my top 5, they deserve break for as long as they need. Their catalogue already has put them in S tier band forever, so no pressure anymore ever ❤
Maybe you guys crushing maybe not I feel like you always have no doubt I grew up listening to you guys before you got big as fuck (tiweoyswmf, count your blessings, suicide season my favorites) definitely love the rest of the aftermath but you feel you need a break do it guys. It could definitely be needed and I know you’ll be back no matter what. I believe with the difference in every album is essential honestly that’s what’s made you guys who you are you’ve always changed it up granted maybe I have a preference of what I believe have been your golden albums but I was young back then and those albums are what I grew with of course they are golden to me. But I’ve never wanted you to be the same always love the progression and it’s always better and creative with every creation.
Is that a Final Fantasy mock up design?? Not a fan of this latest album tho I still wish Jordan to be back in the band, he just gave an awesome touch to their music. When he joined and they released the Sempiternal album, thats the time i really started listening to Bmth and becoming their fan coz something changed to the flow and tone of their sound also Oli really started singing I hope they just take a break as much as they can but not quit just yet
well... Oli always says he's tired but then gets addicted to music making again... however i don't like the sound of him trying to outdo himself again. to be fair, both Post Humans have been what some could agree is the peak of their career. I don't think it's feasible to imagine the third record topping the highs of Survival Horror which was trendsetting and well received to the very trendchasing and throwback NeX GEn. The original concept was for PH3 to be more electronic, similar to bits of Amo and Music To Listen To~ but I suppose since Jordan has left they're scrapping that. This means YEARS of demos we've heard aren't getting used for the album, and at best we'll get 3-6 more demos from the project on Nex Gen 1.5/deluxe. I don't really think the average fan is interested in the lore tying the music together, I'd rather just enjoy the songs. Hearing Oli struggle to incorporate everything seems very overblown. It's like power creep in anime, the obstacle in the distance just has to get bigger and bigger each time it's reached. oh and also PH Nex Gen is my AOTY, it was my most played too.
I am totally fine with them taking a break, but a whole wait till 2026 or maybe even longer for music is going to be very long. I think that the metal scene will change a lot of bmth takes a long break like that.
I've never understood why it takes so long to make new music. Look at Connor Price. If you actually care and have the passion, it doesn't need to take as long as a lot of artists/bands take. Not saying that we necessarily need new music all the time, but just a small thought.
I wonder about that pretty huge chunk of the BMTH fanbase that couldn't even care less if the band is burned out of the burning out of the burn out? I for one think they are touring way too much - and writing, experimenting and most importantly enjoying themselves - MUCH, much less. But that's just me. First THE FISH leaves, now they suddenly release news on a burn out. Dunno, just feels fishy to me for some reason. I'm still waiting for that very heavy, back to the roots Post Human EP they have been promising since before covid. I just REALLY hope that we get to hear it within the next year or two, judging from the info they gave us multiple times that it's all been recorded. Some of us ain't forever, just like diamonds, right? We are most probably going to wait 5 years for that very heavy EP the band promised us. Oh and I enjoy all of their catalogue, before you go attacking in the comments, in fact my all time favorite song outside of anything past Sempiternal, is Nihilist Blues 💙
Just dropped an album and already getting asked about new music is crazy lol
that's the artist lifestyle - "what ya doin next?"

Definitely far from album of the year for me, but everyone can have their own opinions 😂. Great album and they were actually my top 2 for most listened artist on spotify.
Not.
I can name at least 10 albums in the Metal genre that are miles above the shitty bmth record
@oSileyCT-7212 bmth is literally older than you lil bro pipe down
Oli always been a true one and adaptable
HAVE TO GET IT!
BMTH was my #1 most played artist on Spotify this year!
It’s the album that got me into BMTH. Fresh sound and an intriguing direction.
the album is amazing, one of the best this year! agree that the experience would be better if we didn't had so many singles before, but amazing still. A few years from now, i think some people that didn't like it now will probably have a different opinion (as happened with almost all their albums)
That's h9w I'm feeling with MMF the new album comes out march next year and we've got 5 or 6 singles already
Abreak could be needed :) They've really been pumping it out since before covid even.
Waiting for the tour to come to North America
Not album of the year but I cannot stop playing "Bullet with my name on." Absolute banger.
Rest BMTH rest, live see the colours of the world and just experience mind for abit 🖤
They've just dropped a killer album they deserve a break, fans need to slow their roll, I get that you love them but mental health and how their feeling as human beings is important to.
Nah dawg, u put an an album, you headline tour that album around the world. Unless you're not famous. But they are. So we're due up for a us headliner next yr
I understand his mental health also needs to be focused on, but I also I’m tired of being over promised and under delivered
PH2 was delayed by 3 1/2 years, and it was all on the basis that ph2 would be a BIG album and ph3 would come soon afterwards, implying the next year. Furthermore, as someone who lives in the USA, he hasn’t toured here since fall 2022, and that tour was basically just the east coast +LA and Vegas. This goes for their previous us tour of 2018-2019, except that one was cut short due to a vocal injury
Anyways, I hope he gets better mentally, and I hope he is okay, but I’m also tired of waiting on so many things and being told that things are right around the corner when they aren’t
Thats how we europeans feel with american bands. "World Tour" - is basically 3 shows in europe and 1 in australia.
They toured here in summer 2023. Yes, it was an opener slot, but still technically a full tour. Really hope they do a headliner for nex gen here tho, would stank if not. Still never got to see them do a proper show in 14 years due to their abysmal US touring.
He owes you nothing, you sound like the problem
yeah you're right but they couldn't know what they would be through... Vocals along gigs
@@leegriffiths8910 my brother in Christ did I say he owed me anything?
I need a US tour take a break so I can still see you live I love BMTH
I haven't listened to any of their new music. Maybe I'm just old, but I just feel, "meh" about most of their new stuff.
bmth deserves to take a vacation :) we will greatly miss them they done amazing work over the last 5 albums.
Love your videos! My #1 source for rock and metal
Thank you for being here! Grateful for your support!!!!
Dudes been grinding since 2004, well deserved man.
They need to tour in the US
The Home Team - Crucible Of Life for AOTY but Post Human Next Gen and Eviscerate(Eidola) get mentions as well.
So sad Jordan left the band. He was such a massive part of the creative part of BMTH
plz Post human nex gen extended version plzzzzz
For me, the race for album of the year is a very close one between Imminence's The Black and Seether's The Surface Seems So Far.
Bmth are alright, love Shadow moses the best! Best new album iz "Freak Show" by Pacifica ya!!!💟🕉️☮️🤟
I LOVE BTH, I watched them in Madrid... Woowwo
A great deal of the bands you discuss on here I don't give a toss about, but I don't want any of them to quit either, as long as they can leave minors alone.
I’ll give you my top 3 albums of the year.
3. Pearl Jam - Dark Matter
2. Jack White - No Name
1. Green Day - Saviours
The show in Brazil was amazing!
It looked amazing!
Take your time Oli, I mean, Top 10 Statues That Cried Blood is the best song I've ever heard. Plan to get a tattoo based on it!
Nex gen was my top album and top 10 statues was my most listened to song
Not my album of the year but it is in my top 5, they deserve break for as long as they need. Their catalogue already has put them in S tier band forever, so no pressure anymore ever ❤
Curious, what's your top 5?
@damenwalker5260
1. Magdalena Bay
2. Charli XCX
3. Poppy
4. 21 Pilots
5 BMTH, yours?
nex gen has become one of my favourite albums of all time
my spotify wrapped top 5 songs are almost all nexgen
That means I love you.
I agree, Post Human Nex Gen's the album of the year for me!
A7x also do those live ai edit filters during their live shows. It wasn’t bad.
Bilmuri American motor sports was it for me this year.
Dammit I always click thinking it’s the person in the thumbnail
Not a fan of this latest album tho
I still wish Jordan to be back in the band, he just gave an awesome touch to their music. When he joined and they released the Sempiternal album, thats the time i really started listening to Bmth and becoming their fan coz something changed to the flow and tone of their sound also Oli really started singing
I hope they just take a break as much as they can but not quit just yet
2 years is not a long time lmao. Most bands take 2-3 years between album cycles.
I've never understood why it takes so long to make new music. Look at Connor Price. If you actually care and have the passion, it doesn't need to take as long as a lot of artists/bands take. Not saying that we necessarily need new music all the time, but just a small thought.
Yes def my album of the yr
I thought the same after they stopped making deathcore
