I spotted my first 24 Mustang on the way in this morning in Windsor, but that Dark Horse was sick. I think the EV testing area will be a big hit for buyers, even if they aren’t the ones driving it’ll be really beneficial to sit and feel a lot of options back to back when comparing.
Wow! I'm stunned at the relative lack of importance this show now garners. As you already know, we've seen the days when the media flock to Detroit for this. Now? It may as well be a home appliance show compared to what it once was. I've not gone to my local Honolulu Auto Show since before the pandemic. From what I see here, we had more brands than Detroit now does! (Sigh...) Cars have been massaged into extra-large...fidget spinners it seems. I'd wager your Canadian auto shows are now better than this one. Better luck next year. Aloha.
I wish I had made my way to the Detroit Auto Show back in 2019 somehow. I didn’t see a single familiar face while I was walking around the show floor today. I’m going to plan out my trip for the Toronto Auto Show early, book a hotel and buy a train ticket so avoid driving downtown or worrying about weather. I loved going to these before to network with the OEM reps and other journalists, but today I did none of that ☹️
They've pulled out of most auto shows, I believe Volvo and Mercedes-Benz had pulled out of all non-Euro Auto Shows at the end of 2019, the rest quietly pulled out after the pandemic. I would have loved to experience a pre-pandemic NAIAS to see how it compared to this. While it still had a lot of foot traffic today, I feel the overall presence of cars is seriously light. I think we may see the end of Auto Shows in general very soon.
Toyota was the only ‘official’ non-American brand, as it appeared to me that the Kia section was also vehicles from dealers. The Sorento has a facelift which they would have shown off, but we still got the current design.
Fantastic coverage
Thanks a lot 😊 I'm still glad I went, would have been fun to go with some friends/colleagues though.
Very informative thanks for taking the videos!
My pleasure!
Oh man, that Mustang is so sweet. Some beautiful looking cars there. (ICE and EVs).

Very Very wonderful ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!

looks like they don't have European cars anymore.

Not a lot from Asian automakers either. It looks like Kia showed up, but no news from any of the Japanese companies
