Your seeing so many amazing sights in Hawaii, im loving all the places & activitys. I bet Pearl Harbour would of been great to see, thats definitely somewhere i want to visit. I think Starbucks in America has so much more on their menu then we get in Australia. 😍

I'm only up to the acai waffle at Aroma Cafe but had to comment. Hubby and I have been to Hawaii a few times but not since 2019, so we've been on the hunt for a similar acai waffle ever since. I love so many things about Hawaii and this waffle is absolutely one of them! Can't wait to watch the rest of this vlog!!!!!

I love Hawaii so much. Pearl harbour is amazing. Definitely a must when you go there. Did you go to the outlets? Also the Polynesian Cultural Centre is a fun day out. The cheesecake factory is my favourite. They need to bring it to Australia.

That looked so fun! I love Hawaii! How was the food at the Luau? I’ve been to several but not the one at the Hilton. Your dress was perfect.

I booked a sporadic trip to Hawaii for next year because there was a huge sale on the flights although I didn’t realises how expensive general life is there for food accommodation activities etc. Are you finding it expensive compared to Australia?
Ooo exciting!! Yes everything was a lot more expensive honestly so we didn’t really do much shopping. As for food, the prices definitely range depending on where you go 🥰 tucker and bevvys was a great place for breaky which wasn’t too expensive
When I was there this was yrs ago I got a very bad sunburn It was almost sun stroke

What’s the booking app for the restaurants called and did you guys walk mostly everywhere like the Ala Moana mall?
The yelp app ☺️ yep we did! The Hawaiian village was about a 20 min walk to ala Moana and 20 min walk to the centre. We did a lot of walking!

Hi, providing some clarifications:
1) one must differentiate between 'what is Hawaiian' and 'what is local' as Hawaiian is an ethnicity. The Loco Moco is *not Hawaiian food* but is a 'local food'.
2) If you go to Pearl Harbor, you need to go to at least 2 of the areas, the free boat ride over to the Pearl Harbor Memorial (as the attack is what started World War II) and to the USS Missouri battleship (as here in 1945) is where the Japanese signed over to surrender and end WW II. There is a plaque on the top deck where the signing took place (however, going onto the battleship, one needs to pay admission to get in while the USS Arizona is free, but requires reservations on their website --- unless you want to stand in the line where there maybe some cancellations --- though more than likely, there will be few cancellations each day, so standing in that line may be all for nothing.
3) Shave Ice (not in past tense) is *always* pronounced and written in its present tense --- but on the Big Island, the local people there call it 'ice shave'
4) Ala Moana Center is the *world's largest outdoor* shopping center, but with the number
of high end shops that have come to the center in the last 25+ years, a lot of local people feel management has 'sold out' to the local people and cater more towards the tourists. Like for me, yes, where it was a favorite place to go for me from the 1960s to about the early 1990s, I from then on really try to avoid the place.
5) so when goes to a luau, *not all* food items there are 'Hawaiian', but may be a 'local favorite'.
