Another great video with lots of information. When I was a active ham radio operator I had great conversations with people from the old USSR. Can't wait until I get my station set up again and talk to the world. One guy from Estonia had a booming signal and spoke as clear as some of the old broadcasters from Radio Moscow. Good memories.
Great video..and agree with you about these parks in central/eastern Europe..love the street/park musicians i found this in Moldovia this spring just gone...parks with the seniors dancing away, just made cry with sadness how we in the West(uk i speak of and just back from Flensburg, Germany)have become, parks dirty and scattered with druggies ,drunks and other undesirables
Thanks for the video Partizan. Keep it up as I enjoy them. I have a question as I'm learning Rusian. Would you say there's a big or small difference between the Russian spoken in Belarus and Russia? Thanks!
The difference between Russian and Belarusian is great, in Belarus they both have the status of official languages. English is taught in schools without fail.
Thanks for your answer about the dentist. Last minute question, where would you recommend to stay in Gomel? Near the center in Lenin Street? Any tips how to rent an apartment for a short term? Thanks again, you are a real gems.
I would recommend staying on Sovietskaya Street at either the Hotel Sozh or the Circus. As for apartment rentals, I don't know. I prefer to stay in hotels.
3 rubles one ice cream is expensive. I am from Vitebsk. In the chain of stores, traffic lights in a waffle cup are sold for 51 and 78 kopecks. This is expensive even for Vitebsk ice cream parlors. They profit from people.
Nialler ya maverick. Belarus has a Security status of "Do Not Travel" on the Irish Government Travel information page. But you knew that anyway.... You're on your own kid.
Hi Partisan.I wonder something. What is your Russian language level now? Can you speak clearly and express yourself easily?Or do you still have too long way to go?
Love your videos, my wife is from Minsk… I love the city and the people…. I’m starting to learn the language. How long did it take you to get by conversation wise over there

Im reading in places that if you stay for more than 10 days you have to register with the police every so often...is that true?
Yes it is.

I was always a maverick.

It's at intermediate level so enough to make myself understood and to understand.
