    I used to manufacture groundbait, but you can't beat a good quality bread crumb. Nearly all modern groundbaits are made to catch anglers, not fish...

      definitely i think fish are not as picky as people might think. :)

    Think I would select the oven option, but I do like the breadcrumb idea because in our house we waste a lot of bread😂😂

      Yes oven option is probably better lol! Just wanted to show the cheapest way in the video. 🎣

    I use stale bread there's plenty of that in my house, I place individual slices on the radiator for some time, then crush with a rolling pin and store in bags and keep in an old biscuit tin or quality street container,

      Sounds good to me!! I like mine very fine, sometimes I even take it down to a powder in a mortar and pestle. If I’m roach fishing in the winter that is 😀 Tight lines to you tho 🎣🎣

    i dry the slices out in the oven at a low heat, fire in a pack of digestives with it and a can of sweetcorn and they go clean mad for it 👍👍

      I find that if I put hole dried bread slices in a blender the blender breaks on me. That’s why I dry it out after I blend it. But good to know thanks for the information 🙂 tight lines to you! 🎣🎣

    Does that mix ball up enough to throw in and go down sat 10ft?

    • @cjfishing17
      @cjfishing17  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i always mix with bought ground bait about 60% bread crumb then 40% bought ground bait. If you compact it into tight enough balls you could defiantly be sure that most of that ball will get to the bottom. If you are worried about it there is an old school trick of putting a stone in the middle of the ground bait ball to make it heavier so it sinks faster meaning hopefully less lost on the way down. Hope this helps :)

    Can you use this for the method feeder ?

    • @cjfishing17
      @cjfishing17  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I would mix a 50/50 mix with some bought ground bait to add a bit of attraction and of course make sure to add some water to the mix! You might be able to use just the bread crumb on the method feeder. I have used fresh blended bread on the method feeder before and that works well on still waters. Happy fishing 🎣

      Hey sorry for the late reply. That's a good idea! I like to make sure that it is fully dried out if not you end up having problems storing it. Thanks for the suggestion.

    How is this cheap? 1kg dried crumb from 2 x 800g loaves (circa 80p) + 2hrs laborious work (worth £10 per hour min wage) = £20.80 or I can buy 1kg crumb from my local tackle shop for £3!
