  • Welcome to AristotleWalks, where I read works of philosophy out loud. I generally share recordings of philosophy papers to make philosophy accessible for those with vision impairments.
This recording of Descartes’ Meditations I produced as part of a series on my AristotleWalks Instagram account to demonstrate how relevant ancient philosophy is (particularly how relevant Aristotle and Plato are) to understand every other philosopher in the Western tradition. I do not mean to compete with other books on tape of Descartes’ Meditations, and I highly encourage you to go acquire the book and additionally engage with Descartes’ publication of the Objections and Replies to the original six meditations. The letter of dedication and preface are also worth a read.
    First Meditation: 01:12
    Second Meditation: 15:52
    Third Meditation: 45:28
    Fourth Meditation: 1:30:00
    Fifth Meditation: 1:57:03
    Sixth Meditation: 2:18:24
    Fin: 3:04:00
Check out my Instagram @AristotleWalks where I post an idea from Aristotle's works almost every day :) All the translations from Ancient Greek to English (in the caption), the paraphrases (in the photos), and the background photos are by me.
