    They are much more fluid and makes a lot more realistic. When you can obviously tell how much of a change they did, you know it’s done it’s job.

    I'm glad someone compiled all of them already! I noticed the change when I was playing and wanted to see how the others looked! DRK still has to be my favorite though. Just the fact that the sword actually looks like it has weight is leagues better than normal. If only we got these outside of cutscenes... I understand for combat, but honestly, sheathing/unsheathing manually should've let us use the new ones. Oh well-- at least we get to look cool in cutscenes!

      @@Gwynbleidd_117 if anything pressing the button to unseath or pull your weps out should do these animations but when it's for combat just be the fast one assuming, its probably different or harder given it's just tied to the same thing that ties to combat but hopefully they can work it out

    These new animations are available in the Gold Saucer for 100k MGP each (sheathe and unsheathe).
    They're named "Forearmed is Well Armed" and "Easily At Ease".

    When I first saw this, I thought I imagined it. Then I saw it again, and I lost my mind. Like they're ultimately really small changes, yet they're really sick to see.

    i really love these. originally, the animations are really fast, i'm guessing to reduce draw/stow times when entering/exiting battle, so seeing them slowed down and touched on like this is really nice. particularly you can see how some animations pause slightly (BRD, GNB, for example), instead of one smooth motion, which I'm guessing would look really good with certain weapons that expand and contract when drawn, like the scaevan/ironworks stuff.

    I did EW as Reaper and noticed Reaper's sheathe/unsheathe felt more extravagant than the usual ones. I didn't realize they updated everyone though. That's so cool.

    This, ladies and gentlemen! THIS is the first time I remember an MMORPG doing it. Fixing those hacked down sheathe animations that plagued us players for YEARS. No matter in which one. I love the devs for recognizing such details and making more of it.

      This is only in Endwalker scenes, btw. It wasn’t added to scenes from older content, not even to ShB

    I love the Sam one so much. I've done sword work and the Devs have done their research. It's the most realistic thing I've seen in game. It's got the little nuances I was taught about the sword.

      Yes, go to an inn room and there will be a book you can interact with to rewatch cutscenes

      @@ZeraKonno Well, you can rewatch most cutscenes in your inn, yes. But some particular cutscenes can only be rewatched via New Game+, I can't remember which ones they are tho

    I may be biased because my first job was Archer, but that Archer sheath and unsheath was really cool. It really looks like she's swinging the weight of the giant bow around her because it's heavy.

      @@raybow8312 well, i mean the bows of our world are quite a bit lighter than the ones in ffxiv, even the english longbow. That dread wyrm bow looks extremely heavy, especially top heavy. And a lot of them seem to be made of some really heavy duty metals.

      @@Adamantian9 well, its a game btw, terpander lux probably gonna be one of the heaviest, to be more realistic we need make the bow drop to the ground, have 2 assistants to carry it and still be messy on pull time xD(took demoranch example with the braver)

    I didn't think it'd make that much of a difference, but when it got to Black Mage I realized that it looks so good! I had no idea how much of a difference a little more fluidity would make?

    I knew I wasn't imagining it when my DRG do the cheeky twirling animations in cutscenes, wish that's our default animations in game as well.

    I actually got really excited when I first saw the new animation on my DRK. These new animations give me life, the fact that they're slower and have little extra motions in them actually make them feel so much more natural and it makes me happy

      @@kou7191 It's an animation so anything would cancel it if they decided to add them, they could even maintain the smooth animation durinh movement.

    I like that you can feel the weight of some of the larger weapons. The Warrior's Axe, and Dragoon's Lance for instance. They have the swing them around their body in order to get them into the right position. I think that's very clever and a nice touch.

    I just talked with a friend yesterday and mentioned that I think there are new drawing/ sheathing animations and that that might be my favorite addition, so far.
    The normal animation works great for gameplay as it's quick and responsive but it looks pretty dumb/ goofy in a cutscene and these new animations help make these cutscenes seem much more natural (and cooler). I love this so much.
    Also thank you for recording all the footage there. I hope you didn't have to run the dungeon with each class.

      I agree with everything you said, the normal ones looks really out of place in cutscenes but is very responsive normal gameplay.
      I was curious myself of what they all looked like once I saw the Samurai one and realized there wasn't a video so I thought I do it myself.
      And no I didn't have to run dungeon with each class hehe, I just used the Unending journey journal. :) Thank you for watching!

      Ah, that's good. I wasn't sure if you'd get the Duty Completed cutscene from there.
      I wasn't exactly sure if I just imagined it after seeing the new animation from my Paladin, so I'm glad the video exists, as I can not only see the other ones but also know that they did in fact add new animations.
      I love how they managed to upgrade the presentation for Endwalker.

    As a samurai main, I was very very pleased with how clean my character sheaths and unsheathes his katana. Makes cutscenes more cinematic instead of “poof” now my weapon is out

    Sage also has 3 different sheath types, and different weapons use different sheaths. Each of the three types has slightly different animations for how they get in and out of those positions as well. Super cool to see!

    I find it funny how all of the physical and ranged DPS and tanks have these spins or florishes to putting away weapons and then machinist is "gun. . .back"

    I remember in Stormblood, being just a bit envious of Alphinaud with his unsheath animation, taking that extra step to get into a proper battle stance.... whereas my character just plain-jane opens the book. It **should** be threatening when a seasoned mage opens their glowing tome and now it does! It's only a shame this update isn't retroactive.

    I noticed during one of the reaper quests "I don't think it usually twirls that much when drawn..." but didn't think more of it, haven't really been in any cutscenes with the old classes yet so this video explains a lot.

    I noticed Reaper had a much more deliberate sheathing/unsheathing animation in cutscenes and I continually forgot to ask my party members if their classes also got similar treatment, before we all left the dungeons.

    Man these must be details that will definitely be in the next chapter! I love this expac and I loved SHB as well! While it will be sad this one will end like FF11, but like that it will be alright, Yoshi-P will not fail us! He’s a grandmaster of MMORPG now! Well always has been. I’m so excited to see another online game with a new engine, new stories! Possibly new systems! It’s far too early to speculate lol ignore my ranting.. Let’s all just enjoy the glory of this final chapter!

    There very first time I put my spear behind me in that first dungeon, I realized it was a new animation and was hyyyype.

    I use Armageddon on my mch glam (not the tea version but maybe one day) and the spinning barrel times so great with the draw animation

      Bruh, for some reason most of the mch weps flow perfectly with it, their special flourish (spinning, lighting up, w/e) corresponds perfectly with the arc of the swing! It's fucking gorgeous. When my mch pulled out their wep and it started its glow right at that arc... so hype!

    So I WASNT going crazy seeing that rdm unsheath. I havent played RDM for the story since heavensward so I never got to see his unsheath in cutscenes since then and thought maybe I just remembered it wrong. The fancy animations look great though
