This can also be done on the newer AHL keyboards that don't disable the midi when playing songs, provided you have a file that repeatedly sets the volume to 0 on all channels since the keyboard resets the channel volume at start of playback of each song. The rhythms themselves cannot be turned off, but the accompanyment tracks and the left and right hand parts can
That's a great question. I think that since there's limited ROM space for code on these keyboards, it had to be optimised a lot, and the fact that it doesn't reset the channel volumes upon starting song bank playback must have been an oversight (just like how B/C can be played in the Fingered chord mode). This channel volume bug was fixed with the release of the LK-43, but I'd imagine that if one could get the MIDI In port working on older models like the CTK-520L, it would also be possible on those models. To answer your question directly, I have great doubt that it would work on the HL keyboards, but you can try anyway if you've connected your LK-92TV to your computer. Let me know if you can so I can provide a file for you to play from your computer.
If you mean "what is this rhythm based on," it's based on Straight Rock. If you mean "how did they make this rhythm," I don't know because I've never worked for Casio.
Connect the keyboard to a computer and volume 0 on MIDI Channels 1 - 4. Should work in any MIDI program. The bug however can only work on the LK-40, LK-42, and LK-36 as far as I'm aware (those who own a CTK model like the CTK-501 can still try it out to see if it works or not).

is there a way to do something like this on HL keyboards, or is it only possible on the ones similar to the lk 40?
