Viju Shah is my most favorite composers of all times.. the music and background scores by him have been iconic... I recently fell in love with the song - Chand Ho Ya Na Ho... I consider it safely one of the best songs of Sonu Nigam too, that's one song with so much energy without the nervous vebratos that is synonymous with Sonu Nigam Ji... High on energy yet sung with so much calmness, only a genius composer can create such a masterpiece. I wish Viju Shah Ji produces more music for today's movies. Great interview and the interviewer is so well spoken and well prepared.
Spot on. Chand ho ya na ho is such a gem but criminally underrated and so was Ye Pyasi Mohabbat from Gupt. Hauntingly beautiful. Many critics call it the best song of the album.
Don't forget HALLE HALLE from AAR YA PAAR It literally takes you to a different plane AAR YA PAAR movie is one of the most under rated movies of all time
I was so excited... .Rajiy Rai ka picture, Viju Shah ke music. I remember I skipped school in Canada, final period, so I could take the busses to the Indian store that sold cassettes. It was April and I remember getting the cassette, popping into my yellow Shockwave cassette player in the store before leaving and instead of putting the player in my pocket I gripped it in one hand, cassette cover in the other. The sound and music was modern and futuristic at the same time. When the film was shown locally, I went to the first show for the music... I had forgotten who the film director was but that was another SIX! to add to the music. This was a great memory that even 37 years later is a core memory... that store is gone, the audio cassette gone, the shockwave gone... but the memory is forever.
Viju Shah ji is one of my all time favorite music director. Aar ya paar..Tridev, Vishwatma, Mohra...name the movie the songs were outstanding...Especially GUPT I can still remember..even the cassette had CD clarity and what amazing Bass.A big salute to you Viju Sir!
I just heard this song in loop, one of the best song of udit and sadhna g is a legendary, while listening to this song i thought about viju shah and searched hik on TH-cam, this is the first time i have seen him but i have heard his name.
