Are cargo pants also out? I really hate cargo shorts on men. I thought cargo pants were out but I see them on-line in sweat pants. I won't buy them for me but I often see pants I like and I am then sad to see they are cargo pants so I don't buy them.
Hi Deirdre thank you for another enjoyable very informative video i got some great ideas from you that dusky pink is absolutely beautiful on you enjoy the rest of your week x Christine
Where I live, very few people seem to care what about fashion trends. The vast majority certainly don't bother about "dressing up." The more casual, the better. I often feel over dressed or out of place wearing a nice sweater and slacks, not a sweatshirt and leggings.
Your first example- JLo’s dirty jeans- is just one example why copying celebrities regardless of their style missteps is so pathetic! Even more the so called fashion editor sycophants who are “obsessed” with celebrity outfits no matter how unflattering. Thank you Dierdre for your common sense tips and example photos.
Happily, I have a friend who takes the same shoe size. So, after I fell off my fantastic Prada yellow patent platform sandals, she gave them a good home 😅. I stick to slimline trainers and loafers
Thank you Deirdre, very nice! Concerning the dirty jeans, I immediately thought of purposely destroyed and dirty looking sneakers which were in style and cost a fortune, too. I still cannot believe how anyone might like those. Now, back to the video 🙂.
Hello Deidre..some great suggestions...but I personally hate sling backs and long trousers. I always end up with the hem catching between the heel of my foot and the shoe. Is it only me or do other ladies have that problem?
I wore silk trousers and a silk shirt for a tea party I gave yesterday and was super-comfy. I did get guacamole (it was a California tea party, what can I say) on the trousers, but they’re off to the cleaners, who will get them perfect again. I rarely get spots on my silk clothes, so I can just machine-wash (gentle cycle) and hang-dry them. To me, the pleasures of wearing silk far outweigh the occasional nuisance and expense of going to the dry cleaners. With my hyper-allergic and -sensitive skin, I wear silk every chance I get, it’s the only non-irritating fiber and works on all but the hottest days. (The trick is if you get a spot on silk, get it to the cleaners within two days, if it sets, it’s permanent).
I love that you wear silk so often, Kimberly. It really is the most beautiful and breathable fabric. And thanks for the cleaning tips too. Lots of love. XX
Like the ideas a lot. Luckily, none of your 'out' stuff is currently residing in my wardrobe. What I'd really like to see, is how to tie a thinnish scarf nicely. Not a big woolly one, just a straight or square one so it looks kind of artistic. I see ladies with very cleverly tied scarves but I have never managed that myself, nor have I ever asked one of those ladies how they did it! So, hellp please here!
I have a sweater in that same pink and just bought similar grey trousers to what you have on Deirdre and have been wondering what to wear with them outside of black and white. I hadn't thought of that combo. I always learn something new from you 🥰
Thanks once again for a great video. I will still wear my bright pink dress as the colour looks very good on me. I have had many compliments on it, I also have a blouse. I have a powder pink blouse from way back when that I will have to bring out again. Thanks!
I have a bright yellow trench coat that must be at least 30 years old, and get compliments every time I wear it, they never go out of style. I love the dark was jeans, but I wish more companies posted the measurements for inseam, rise, etc, it makes it so much easier to shop online. The pink sweater is gorgeous on you.
The pale, powder pink is my pick for the spring and summer seasons coming up. I prefer the pale pink that has blue understones rather than something peachy. I found 2 shirts from H&M and bought them already.
Love everything you presented 🎉. Love the soft pink it a color that makes everyone look brighter and feminine. Trench cost is a definite YES. But not for our chicago winters🥶
Deirdre, that powder pink looks stunning on you! I love that color as well as some of the other pastels that are being shown for spring. 😊 This was a fun video! ❤

Hi, always enjoy your videos. Some of these outdated trends I had never heard of, for example, "dirty" jeans. Funny. All of the "in" clothing you recommended I like to wear. In particular I get a lot of use out of my classic trenches.
I've always adored light pink with grey or with navy. That shade of pink is so complimentary with your colouring. Very pretty! As for clunky clodhoppers, I could never get on board with those. Platform sneakers are hideous!!
Some pale pinks I don’t wear because they wash me out. It has to be bright or dark enough to contrast my complexion. Your top might have enough color for me. It looks nice. I love the long trench coat. I got a long wool wrap coat for winter from H&M. It still could have been a little longer.
Deirdre - I love that you let us know what colors will be in for the next season. I'm already searching for a powder pink button down shirt to wear with jeans. I have a variety of coats (trench, puffer, bomber, and different lengths quilted and knit) and would really appreciate a video about what looks best with cigarette, slim, straight, relaxed staight, and wide-leg pants/jeans. Thanks for another awesome video! ❤
In Ohio here and the other day my daughter {44} and I went out for the day. Not knowing when I picked her up we both had on pink. I am 68 and have several shades of pink for spring and summer and I can’t wait to style them. Love Pink and that sweater you are wearing is a beautiful color and looks gorgeous on you. The dark indigo jeans look great on you Deirdre!! But, that picture of Jennifer Lopez with those jeans, made me feel depressed. She's so pretty and glamorous, and those jeans did nothing for her. Oh dear!!
I think the baby pink borders on being a neutral - for me, like beige, it makes me disappear (or even look naked in some lights). So if I want to do a beige, I need to wear gold earrings as big as paving slabs and a rich, jazzy scarf to pep it up.

I mostly wear scruffy gear for dog walking business as I'm out in the fields, on the moors, in the country ( not quick pavement walking but proper country walking). Has to be practical, washable and moveable as I'm climbing over gates and jumping streams. Any ideas for a practical country look that look good in the field and when meeting friends for coffee after walkies ??? I did wear a crisp white shirt recently and felt I looked smarter. It was only M&S, about £20 but I got lots of compliments ! Zipped up my coat to stop it getting muddy though !

In the long run, lower priced clothing is not going to last as long as the better quality and higher priced garments, so you aren't saving any money.
