I mean, they kinda did with vanilla DS2 (Darklurker, Velstadt, Smelter, Pursuer, and Looking Glass Knight were most of the good bosses before DLC arrived), but otherwise I agree.
last i checked, DS2 has a really un-great boss roster that people have described as "mass-produced". after seeing that one GDQ speedrun where the game stutters every 15 mins...i'm inclined to agree that the whole game was probably sweatshopped off.

I recommend trying it , yes it’s difficult but it’s also very rewarding, the story hints , the characters, quests , bosses , the environments, everything is just on point , not trying to exaggerate but it’s honestly the best game I’ve played in my life , it’s just a perfect balance of challenging and fun and growing your character to become stronger.

I really appreciate this guide. Only watched the ones I've beaten thus far (it isn't many -- and don't know how people have gotten this far already, LOL), but it's great to see you take a few hits throughout this. It actually illustrates what to watch out for much better than those that sail through the entire fight without so much as getting clipped.
Godrick, Rykard, Margit, Rennala, Malenia, Mohg and Radagon's fights have to be my utmost favorites. Every boss fight is fucking phenomenal in this game, but those are the ones that stick out to me the most.

Malenia is the worst. Now that ive beaten her every playthrough after this will avoid that entire area. RNG bosses with unavoidable attacks aint for me.

@@phood0588 The only unavoidable attack in the game is mohg circle thing, not a single attack from Malenia is undodgeable.
It is hauntingly scary to see that none of these crazy bosses are the peak of their strength. They r usually a mere shell of their true selves and still are able to do this. Imagine we fight all of them at full strength 😳

That's only true for the decaying world of dark souls. It's not the same in elden ring, many of them are at their peak

Starscourge Radahn fight seems dope. The atmosphere made the fight looked epic
Still prefer the Soul of Cinder to Elden Beast, but the latter's not overshadowed by Radagon like Gehrman did to the Moon Presence, and its a marked improvement to both Gwyn and the two final bosses of DSII (Isshin is in a league of his own).
In terms of Bonus Bosses, the dragon fights were awesome, and the major bosses were great across the board!

Rennala's fight is so aesthetically beautiful! I love anything dealing with the moon. It's gonna hurt fighting her considering how heartbroken she is. When you break her barrier and she's just lying there helpless. Makes your heart weep. You defeating Mohg was the most seratonin inducing fight. Lol! Especially after finding out what he did to Miquella.
Renalla's ost was so good!

By far one of those most fun boss fights for me was the Regal Ancestor Spirit - solely for the soundtrack, it wasn’t like any other boss fight music in this game - it felt more calming - as if you were a hunter, stalking your prey from the bushes with a bow and arrow, gently pulling the string back on your bow as you connect with your inner spirit. Yeah, that shit was wild, fighting this boss while on acid was crazy
Man, those people updating the Awesome Boss pages for TV Tropes are gonna have a field day with this! I honestly can't wait to see if any DLC will come out involving Miquella or something. My choices for Awesome Bosses would be the Tree Sentinel, Mohg, Margit/Morgott, Godrick "The Golden", Rykard, Ranni, Radagon/Mecha-Gwyn, Elden Beast, the dragons, Astel, the Fire Giant, Godfrey, Radahnn, Malenia, Maliketh... Too many to count!

The big boi bosses in this game are amazing. Radahn is one of my favourite fights in the series, just epic and awesome, Renalla was amazing, Rykard was spectacular, Godrick was fun, Margit and Morgott where fun, fire giant was pretty entertaining. I'm not any further in and I'm fairly sure alot of the criticism of a few of these bosses are largely generated through salt. Godskin duo and Commander Niall need some heavy tuning tho...
Edit: Literally after I made this comment I went and smacked Godskin Duo and Niall to pieces with Starscourge greatswords. I've finished the game now, and honestly think those bosses are were pretty fun. Godskin theme is my favourite in all of From's games now.
Okay well i'm fairly sure you're just salty about Godskin duo and Commander Niall because not only did I find them both pretty entertaining but I one-shot both of them. It couldn't possibly be that people have different experiences, criticism I don't agree with is just salt.
@@hunter0moo on the contrary a lot of people actually do struggle with these bosses. hell, There's a thread on reddit of people just agreeing godskin duo need to be nerfed. commander niall is a bitch too because he just summons his little knights, yeah I've seen people one shot him but that's just them doing op magic builds, while there r a hell of a lot of people doing strength and dex builds. I'm glad u got them first try or whatever, but the experiences won't be the same 24/7, so Don't always assume things r salty because this actually has a good point...

I'm about as far in as you and have been taking my time and making sure to complete every catacomb and have fought many bosses so far.. main complaint I have is how many times I've fought the same bosses! I've fought the watchdogs 5 times now, pumpkin heads two times as a boss and lord knows how many times as a regular enemy, godskin apostle 2 times by himself and then once with the godskin noble who I had also fought before! I could keep going on but I'm sure my point is clear, I'd personally much prefer they just had fewer bosses instead of using the same ones over and over again
Godskin duo really isn't that bad. And I've faced them with pure melee. The pillars really help

lord of the frenzied flame=bad ending
elden lord/age of the duskborn=the technical good ending
age of stars=the best ending in any soulsborne game ever
Whereas older Fromsoft games already had fairly intimidating first bosses, I'm very glad that, outside the grafted monster at the very beginning (who isn't here for some reason), Elden Ring took the Kirby approach of "first boss is pathetic and the final boss is literally God"
This game is the lovechild of Miyazaki and Tolkien, and I'm here for every epic adventure it has in store! 🛡⚔
Serpent Rykard and Placidusax are my favourites, but my god this game is on another level....

Radahn was a pretty cool boss. Cool armor. Cool backstory, epic boss fight with us calling everyone for help, even Patches, and watched Radahn glide circles around them slicing and dicing...
...until you realize that bloated general was actually still riding that undersized half dead horse right inbetween his oversized legs. I truly burst out laughing and the whole sense of epicness is just lost. For goodness sake General, let that poor animal rest already...
In Radahn’s defense, the poor thing couldn’t even feel Radahn’s weight because gravity and shit

For future reference, when godrick 2nd phase starts, run toward him to his right side and you can get a few hits in while dodging the flame since it doesnt hit he ground next to him :)

These bosses look cool, but not technically all battles with them are good or fun. Dark Souls bosses were nicer for the most part, especially DS3.

i was taking a look at the amount of runes each boss gives. mogh's and malenia's are insane! more than 400k. they're second only to elden beast.
It's funny how some bosses have well thought out names and how others have names like wormface or pumpkin head😂

A lot of these bosses were horrible. An example would be Radnah I think that’s his name. The camera and the fact that the whole fight was a gimmick was so wack. I was underleveled the majority of the time playing this game going up against end bosses forcing me to farm which was such a bore.
The fact that there is a 3 HOUR VIDEO of all the bosses to me is just insane lol.
Elden Ring is outright the most ridiculously overhyped game I have ever played. This game is literally just overpriced torture. All you do is wander around without any hint of what you're supposed to do and you waste your time fighting trash bosses. Seriously, every boss I have encountered drains half of my hp or one shots me with every hit. How is this fun? I have gladly quit it and will never come back at it till it's more playable.
And to all the idiots that spam get good, no. I just want to play a game, have fun and enjoy the story. This game is utter trash.

Is it just me, or is there a lot of repeating bosses? I like this game a lot (even though I suck at it) but watching this makes it seem like every boss I’ve fought so far (besides the main ones), I’m gonna fight another one to two times, ngl that doesn’t seem too inviting of a prospect

And the annoying amount of duo fights which people also alwayed complained about and for good reason, yet it's fine here for some reason even tho they are just as annoying
Good game, but the duo noble and apostle fight was just a joke and the crucible knights as well
They weren't fun to deal with in previous titles and nothing has really changed in that respect, only it's turned up to 10 in elden ring g

This is supposed be a video showcasing bosses. Instead we see a overleveled mimic tear user absolutely destroying bosses in less than a minute without even seeing all the moveset off the bosses. It feels like a rushed video!

Man, all the main story bosses are AMAZING! All of the bosses are good in their own right, but once a cutscene starts? You know you’re in for a good time. And man, they did my man Patches right. FINALLY, I can fight him without needing to execute him. Catharsis, but he sticks around
