I bought a pathera play board as an art piece. Cool to see how the inner workings all come together.
In terms of costs per play, here in Britain most pins are set to 50p per go, but the better maintained ones tend to be set to £1.00 per go, and on a Stern Spiderman (2007), with the tournament start button on the lock bar, the tournament mode is £2.00 per go.
Can of coke = 80p usually.
So not all that much has changed. Apart from the denominations in the coin boxes.

Mr. and Mrs. Pacman is another machine I currently own, so I'm looking forward to your video on it. I noticed quite a few of your maze lights are out -- that's always a fun soldering job! We have one socket that no matter how much we re-flowed we couldn't get it working properly.

In California new pinball games are $.75 or a buck or three games for two bucks. $.50 would be very cheap.
