Good Ol' Willo... He sure did know how to screw a Celica together... Entire rollcage a nitrous bottle, 2 overdrives in the box where we thought reverse was supposed to be, 2 speed diff, afterburners under the boot floor & a blower hidden in the tappet cover..... Or did he just have a house brick stuck to the bottom of his right boot & a fear shortage? Whatever his secret was, he sure knew how to get a 2Litre 4pot Tojo mobile... Kinda made a 3Litre V6 Capri look like a breathless snail.
Willo showed us what motor racing should be... a ton of fun, a splash of cleverness, raw talent & sport.
Makes you wonder how we ended up where we are now? The plot got lost.

That Celica should have had a big six under bonnet....it's ridiculous having to wring that 2litre's neck to try and keep up with the others, and also running out of legs on Conrod sitting at 8000 rpm for so long. Ridiculous. If it had some torque you could run a taller diff. Toyota wtf.

Amazing how the cameras manage to actually miss everything.

What was the weight of Brock's Commodore in 1980?
When they classify the racing weight for these cars, is it the empty weight plus a bit of fuel, water and oil necessary for a race?
Weight of driver is not included in weight of car.
Also what is length, width, height and tyres size and width for Brock's 1980 Commodore?

The race weight is driver, full fuel and fluids and ground clearance measured at the same time for compliance ie: 100mm clearance has to be when the car is at its max weight. A fair few classes also add ballast for various reasons, for instance if an improved production car is rear wheel drive they must have 50kg of ballast added to the minimum weight of 1405kg

Brock was a man to be admired wasn't he. Spoke well, truthfully and made few mistakes behind the wheel.

I always wondered if the person who put the rock on the track would ever man up and confess.but cowards usually die that way,but not all.

I think Dick would of won this if the rock didn't happen. Much faster car than the 05 and he was gathering a huge break when he crashed into the fkn thing.

@The_Jaguar_ Knight no Brock hit a Gemini. The slow cars were a dangerous menace

So stupid to force the engines to be switched off in the pits. Of course an engine gets so hot immediately after shutdown and its impossible to add coolant.
