I think we should get the Guardian forest level as it would only need a rewrite of a mode of transport, maybe a voice line or 2. The other level would be awesome but I think it would ruin the feel if we missed the 3rd leg of covenant I think that would be worse than getting the level.
I don’t necessarily agree that earth was too long, just that the rest was too short. Halo 3s Campaign was just too short and could have been double the length.
@@famalam943 there was a cut jungle level (Guardian uses its tileset) and i think another desert one but not sure about that second one. If these were included it probably would have been paced a lot better and not feel so short.
People think Halo 3's Earth section is too long? I'd argue Halo 2's Earth section is too short, so much of the marketing for Halo 2 was that Earth is under attack and Chief will protect it.... but we're on the actual Earth for a total of 2 missions out of a 14 mission campaign. Granted, they had to juggle between Chief and Arbiter's stories on a very rushed development cycle, but I would have loved more time on Earth for Halo 2. That may be why we got so much time on Earth in Halo 3, to make up for what little time we had in Halo 2.
It's only too long because nothing really happens until the Portal activates, and then when we finally get to the Ark, this interesting conglomeration point of the Forerunners' war against the Flood, we don't really do anything there apart from chasing down Truth across two levels.
"Ma'am, that's great and all, but we have no rally points listed as 'to war', if I don't give them a vector, they're going to be flying blind. They'll probably die."
If they were to change that scene at all, keep the line. They should just make one of the other characters chuckle in disbelief, and then ask for a real rally point lmao
The fact that Miranda keyes saying one cheesy line (one that arguably gives the game more character) is one of the only criticisms people consistently make about Halo 3’s campaign speaks volumes about how good Halo 3 is overall.
Bro, what? Halo 3 has way more, and way more serious narrative issues then that line that people criticize. The Arbiter is entirely sidelined, he and Chief literally only talk to each other twice if you exclude one sided dialog Arby has, most of which doesn't even play in Co-op. Cortana's gambit against the flood makes zero sense and relies on High Charity being able to break slipspace rules and the Gravemind being an idiot. Worst of all, Truth's character and personality is butchered and we have zero payoff on whatever his true goals were since Halo 2 was clearly setting up that he had ulterior motives beyond activating the rings.
Halo 3 has so many more issues than a cringe Miranda line and you know that lol Halo 3 in my opinion is a great game, but there is so much wrong with it narratively.
@@baseballbobby7090depends... Halo 1 remaster was pretty bad in a lot of places, and halo 2 was...ok. A halo 1 remake is terrifying so who knows if Halo 3 will work.
5:20 They can literally keep the line and as soon as you enter gameplay mode she can say "Send all Squad leaders to rally point Delta (Or where ever makes sense for the story)". Like that's literally all that has to be done.
I actually kinda like Miranda’s “To war” line. The issue is it’s missing follow-up. If she’d’ve just given some orders after the line to make it fit better, it would be completely fine!
My thoughts as well. I really liked the line itself, but it would have been 1000 times better if there had been a follow-up to it instead of it being just a standalone thing.
Halo 3 anniversary will not happen if the remake is, they're essentially just going down the exact same path that cod did. Let's just hope they don't introduce stores and get as bad as modern warfare 3 (2023) did. It will most likely be a Halo 3 remake, not an anniversary
@@threaders9411no 343 would cut playable elites from the Halo 3 multiplayer, to make it a Spartan focused storyline with their 'revolutionary' live service content
@@Crossfirev It will never stop being hilarious when "special" people constantly cry like a toddler who lost their binky about 343i LMFAO....As if its a real studio, its a "team" put together by Microsoft which has alot of former Bungie employees working or worked there for the explicit instruction of dealing with Halo..... Its even more hilarious than they extra helmet "special" people who try to talk about Xbox like its a separate entity from Microsoft when Xbox IS Microsoft
I think they know Halo 3 anniversary is their most lucrative trump card, but they’re drastically underestimating father-time killing interest. And it’s unfortunate we’re at the mercy of greed.
12:55 Personally, I think the moment Arbiter leaves on a commandeered Banshee towards the end of The Ark would be the perfect place to not only insert Guardian Forest and Forerunner City, but recontextualize them in a way that expands upon the Arbiter's story, and perhaps gives him that final resolution to his story that was cut from Halo 2 before it became Halo 3. Maybe even use it as an opportunity to really hammer home just how close the modern interpretation of the Forerunners is to humanity as a species, as 343i has unfortunately failed to properly hint at in the games as directly as they have with the books.
One way I could see "Guardian Forrest" and "Forerunner City" coming back in Halo 3 Anniversary, but not breaking the golden rule is by having them not be in the main campaign, but as bonus content unlocked after beating the campaign. They wouldn't be canon to the remake campaign, but could still be fully realized by the devs, enjoyed by the players, and not break the story that Halo 3 Anniversary would currently follow. Best of both worlds. Just an idea lul. Keep up the great work HiddenXperia
Thanks broski! Yeah I like that idea actually, it's a best of both worlds and kinda reminds me of what a load of games used to do in the early-mid 2000s, locking secret levels behind completion milestones
It’s a good idea in an ideal world but realistically it’d likely mean a bunch of resources diverted from work on the main pieces of halo 3 towards content that many players wouldn’t even play. I like what you’re going for though & never say never
Very important points for multiplayer; Classic 360 ranking system 1-50 per playlist Profile cards. Bring back 5 star general and staff captains! 1 Exp earned for 1 social game won, make winning social games have a purpose. No one cares and most dont know how MCCs social xp is earned. 0:45 - I have wanted this since I heard about the FIRST "Halo: CE" remake. A single, fully remake of the entire trilogy with a more consistent artstyle (though with small variations to conserve the tone of each game), more consistent mechanics (like boarding in CE) and a completely consistent level of graphical fidelity.
For a remake of halo 3 the best thing to put in with the “to war” quote is the soldier saying “alright mam but where in the war do we put them” or something like that to make it better
I just wanna see it get the Blur cutscene treatment again. Doubt it, but with UE5 being so high quality, I wonder if they could be convinced to work in engine for realtime cinematics.
Honestly as much as I love Blur Cutscenes, like I said in my last CE Remake vid (I forgot to mention it in this one 🤦), I would actually prefer the cutscenes in the remakes to be in-engine. With how good Unreal looks I'd much rather them be in-engine and interact with the gameplay than be pre-rendered and static
@@HiddenXperia I'm reminded of the original crysis. If I remember correctly, they hired Blur (I think) to make a visual demonstration and then tried to get as close as possible in actual gameplay. Something like that would be cool. Its not all just about the offline rendering. Blurs art direction and cinematography is spot on. Trying to blend that with realtime would be amazing. Its also worth remembering that during gameplay, people may prefer one or the other. But as a piece of halo media in its own right, H2A and HW2 cutscenes are both incredible additions to the IP that are enjoyable to watch even in isolation.
@@HiddenXperia As much as I did love the Blur cutscenes too I would want the cutscenes to be a bit more close to the source material in terms of overall style. Not knocking Blur at all, they did an amazing job. Sometimes I felt like it was a bit too much? Maybe that's just me.
@@existentialselkath1264I think if they used the in-game "props" and engine it'd be better. H2s remastered scenes are a bit over processed compared to the game, a tad disconnecting.
@@ChiefCrewin what do you think to HW2s by comparison? I actually quite liked the heavy post processing in H2A because you don't really see it much anymore, but Blur got a bit more 'tasteful' with all that as time went on.
I would prefer a remaster over a remake for two readons: - ability to switch between the graphics - no microtransactions - 343 has less chance to **** up everything else
Maybe they can implement Guardian Forest and Forerunner City like what was done with the cut content from Gears 2? Don’t implement them in the main campaign but add them as playable extras in a special features sectiont. Or implement them as side stories where ODST’s are sent to investigate these areas for ONI? Also would like the SMG to appear more frequently in campaign. And extra options when you want to replay levels. It’d be neat if you could customize your loadout, and you could even have stuff from ODST in there.
I miss that from HCE and H2 when playing the subsequent level you retain your former gear, so been able to choose it before hand would be a nice touch, specially with some weapons you use sporadically or in specific levels.
Legitimately have never heard of anyone complaining about "too war" being a line. Now the fact that she says it, then turns around and puts her magnum away immediately following the end of the cutscene is a different story
I remember laughing at that line when I played Halo 3 the first time, laughing about it when I played it with my army buddies, and laughing about it right now, because it's a hilariously stupid line in a series known for great dialogue.
My biggest complaint about Halo 3 was there was barely any Elite allies. At the bare minimum, after Floodgate, they shouldve been by your side in the Ark mission during the Tank section with their Green colored covenant vehicles helping you all the way until you regroup with the Arbiter, and if i'm to be honest the elites should have looked more how they did in Halo 1 and Halo 2, they felt and looked too slow, clumsy and bulky in Halo 3, I would aim to make them not faster moving so to say but change the way their run appears to be more like a slow "skip" similar to how it looked in Halo CE. I absolutely agree about the cut content, as a gun that felt missing to me was the Brute Plasma Rifle. I'd simply take the one from Halo 3 ODST increase it's fire rate a bit and throw it into the mix of the campaign to make it feel more complete of a sandbox for the Brutes.. that also goes for the silenced smg and silenced magnum id let only odst have in the campaign and that's it for new guns as I wouldn't want to open a can of worms because this usually gives people the idea of "let's add Halo Reach, Halo 4 or 5 guns etc!" No , hell no. What else I would add is flood juggernauts, specifically in certain larger open areas in flood missions and maybe even one in the mission the covenant somewhere battling Brutes in which I'd say the Brutes even on legendary need their health a tiny bit buffed and give them their berserk on all 4s ability back whenever theyre the last survivor. sentinel enforcers and flood arbiters on bigger charity would be amazing!!! Something's I would completely and utterly change which might come as a shock to some people is, I'd make the Covenant Carbine and Fuel Rod Gun battery operated instead of clip/mag fed but keep the way how they shoot the same. (Basically replace the fuel rod with Kashiera's halo 3 combat evolved fuel rod.) Then replace some of the skins for the marines to have the CE marine look like how ultimate firefight sandtrap has. At the end of the day, the best addition to an already nearly perfect game such as Halo 3 is to just add a Skirmish/firefight mode where you can play as whatever ai you want, forge the ai, etc and give us Blur cutscenes.
@@andyfriederichsen dual wielding needlers in campaign would be more useful I admit. But the problem wasn't dual wielding in itself it was the low amount of weapons you could dual wield with to begin with that was the problem. So in campaign, let the needler be dual wieldable by the player, add the brute plasma rifle to give that dual wielding pool a bit more content. And yes I agree slightly with the shotgun, to this day the CE shotgun reigns supreme, it's balance was it's slow reload animation. The H3 AR was fine it just had a strange sound to it realistically. If you can give it a better AR sound to make it feel more beefier like in CE, then even without a full 60 rounds it would feel better.
@@ReqchV1 correct, we don't need it, but we didn't *need* Halo 2 Anniversary either, yet it was still incredible. Video games should be made simply for the sake of fun
Simply cause there isn’t a reason to. Halo 3 is already available on modern platforms. CEA was a simply an anniversary release. And 2A exists to sell the mcc. You could simply up the resolution of 3s texture and the game would still look reasonably good.
The problem with a remaster of any halo game is this: the OG halo era is gone. We are trying to remaster games based on nostalgia but that nostalgia ends quickly when you actually have that game. Nobody is going to care for the remaster over the original once the initial excitement ends. It’s time to look forward to halo 7 and just hope they get it right
Honestly, I all but completely lost interest before 5 came out...I played it some, but don't even think I cared enough to finish it, tbh...I did get crazy busy around then, too I was all excited for 4...even pre-ordered it, like odst & reach Buut I really only ran through the campaign for 4, 'cause the way they changed the multiplayer map making style, was a huge turn off for me...really even for at least ½ the reach maps too I understand wanting to discourage camping, 'cause that's just bum playing ...buut as a dedicated swat player, having some areas where the number of angles of attack are reduced (occasional hallways, for example) just made for good gameplay...even though I was solely run & gun style ('cause, to play swat any other way is just a sin) it's still nice to have times when you can't be shot from absolutely every direction, as well as elevation
MCC would be broken by adding Halo 5 because it's like around 100GB, and MCC already has too many engines for it to function with its 119.2GB size. Every game added to PC broke MCC and constantly needed patching. 343 would leave MCC broken with Halo 5 because it's too much to work on. Current MCC still has issues and got abandoned.
@@Synister316 imagine if they did a remake of all three together like MCC but under unreal engine with all cut content and classic multiplayer maps and modes etc that would definitely bring the games back to life
Halo 3 multiplayer is STILL to this day the most fun Halo multiplayer for me to play. Halo 3 multiplayer is perfect. I really miss projectile bullets and needing to lead your shots
You could just add the cut content remaster the already great graphics, and still have the organic Halo 3 levels, just have the developers listen to the fans for some much needed help, like “Cortana” could be a 2 part level, the original level is you trying to break into the outer shell of High Charity, and the cut content the second half of the level, that would be very cool
Dude, I don't know how you're able to keep being so positive and have high hopes still. This sounds fantastic, which is why it's way too good to be true 😢 If this ever even happens at all, most likely it'll be a lazy cash grab, lacking not only cut content and improvements, but it'll probably be riddled with bugs, technical issues and horrible changes to the original. 😑
In the partly drivable scarab, is cortana stasis sheild and once you break her out (and this is before you drive it) she says "there's 2 of us in here now remember" and light from the main gun comes on and the whole thing rises off the ground.
Halo 3 in my eyes is not only the greatest Halo but the greatest video game ever made. So remastering or remaking it would have to be so carefully done in order to really satisfy the fans. It’s such a masterpiece that I’d say the only thing it really needs is a graphical overhaul, updated forge, and throw in firefight. Beyond that I really can’t thing of much else it needs, it’s near perfect.
While I do love blur studio cutscenes I still very much prefer in game cutscenes as they feel more immersive, especially when you consider that in Halo 2, 3 and infinite having in game cutscenes means you will also see the weapon you still had on you. Seems insignificant to many people but to me personally it helps allowing the feeling that the cutscenes are not separate from the gameplay. Thats always been my gripe with blur studio cutscenes, they are gorgeous but they have always felt off to me, that and I also do worry they may mess up cutscenes through Blur as in Halo 2 Anniversary 'Sacred Icon' the first cutscene showing Tartarus's phantom flying backwards which even til this day still bothers me.
@@horrorpleb249 Now that u mention it, having the same weapon in cutscene is really neat. It's like having your character and armour appear in cutscenes in the Dark Soul games
Let us lower our weapon Let players 2, 3 and 4 choose whether to play as Marines, ODSTs or their MP Spartans and to be able to see our characters in the cutscenes along side chief Dare I say it, 3rd person mode.
i never was on the camp for a anniversary at first but over time i agree we need one. my problem is i dont want 343 touching it but its gonna happen anyways
Bro everyone saying, “it’ll ruin halo 3” if the original game exists how is a remake going to ruin it. Even if it is bad you still have the original game.
I guess the idea is that new people will play the remake and form a bad opinion of the original under the assumption that the OG was just like the remake.
@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem I definitely understand that but I mean like if you’re a day one fan who really cares what newcomers think. But I get that.
@@quickzimbee Because the series won't be getting more popular (and therefore more pressure for a good game) if nobody new comes in. They won't be coming and staying if they play a new game and it is terible. A series that never gets new fans has an extremely limited lifespan. If newcomers play a crap game (whether it's actually a bad game or just not what it's supposed to be) and love it, then pressure builds on the devs and publishers to make more like that, alienating the core audience. However, Halo's current lack of many newcomers means that they don't have much influence. Not that the core really has any with 343, though.
Also, it's a matter of respect for the original game. The love, nostalgia, writing, cinematics, would be destroyed. It would be like a big spit to the face of Halo's gem.
I’m totally down for a mix-up in the campaign’s structure for a H3 remake in order to include the cut levels in that second half. When you think about it, the cut sections are overall very similar to how it actually went down, and you can probably still include things like the Covenants final chapter to a degree by having the tank run be the ending to The Covenant/Alpine Forest and then have the citadel within the forerunner city.
Although the future is uncertain I just have a really good feeling about the future of halo for some reason (def didn’t have this feeling with infinite etc) I’m really excited for halo ce remake
Halo 3 should add and let you skip the cut missions. Maybe even when you’re in different sections of the campaign you can have an over look of the area your in with side missions, but you can also play with “golden path” enabled to just play the og missions back to back.
There’s been attempts, but with the MCC modding tools and level file structure. It’s hard to “add” levels in a sequence since each game has a set amount of levels. They’d have to remake each level by hand and if wanted to tell the story with the cut levels and content the remake mod would have to probably be split into two.
@@JJ-cx6ro oh no it’s possible, but it’s just hard since the campaign level structure of the game is kind of Jank, they would have to find a way to cram a lot of stuff into each of the levels. Especially if they wanted to add unadded levels.
@@JJ-cx6roits difficult to the point that most people would not do that unless they are paid. The amount of effort is tough for people who have other responsibilities and work. Jobs
They could add the guardian forest mission after the covenant to show the arbiter and chief fighting their way to the crashed high charity city. There's room for a banshee fight at the end taking the remains of the ruined covenant fleet and using them to fight sentinals, and that would tie in nicely to the beginning cutscene of cortana where arby and chief fly in on banshees. Could also add some forerunner world building and parts of forerunner city in there as well.
Unfortunately, I don't have much faith in 343i, seeing as how they hired people who didn't/don't like Halo. Like what kind of logic is that? Passion is the number one thing that the gaming industry is so deprived of, whether it gets stomped out by greedy CEOs / poor management, or by hiring practices such as this. 343i is a trend chaser. No doubt in my mind they will add things like sprint and sliding to a Halo CE remake. They will fix what is not broken.
You really got me thinking about HALO 3 ANNIVERSARY/REMAKE. What it lacks. What it needs. (Even if it may never happen.) I may not have covered everything, but your opinion would be appreciated, HiddenXperia. Campaign: - In a tutorial cinematic, Master Chief fights Covenant on board the Forerunner Dreadnought before being forced to escape via broken door (rehash of ‘Halo: Uprising’) - Leave as is but combine it with original ‘Arrival’ cutscene; allied allied NPC Elites (specifically the co-op characters) accompanying the Arbiter, essentially establishing that the Arbiter is not the only Elite/Sangheili on Earth
How can you guys be excited and want a remake of Halo 3 ? We should give Microsoft, 343 Industry and the whole video games industry the middle finger for remakes... What is the point of reliving the same experiences over and over again ? Halo is such a vaste and wonderful universe that could be explored far more in video games and with different genre ! Please let's stop accepting and wanting the same things warmed up and often fucked up... The Halo games from Bungie are our childhood (for most of the audiance I guess), are perfect and legendary ! Let's keep it that way ! Let's explore new stories of this beautiful universe that Halo is :) Cheers
Man, Xperia everytime I watch your content I really want to buy some Halo megabloks I have almost all the figures from when I was little except for the buildable vehicles and want to recollect them all in the future Also Halo 3 doesn't need a remake imo we just want one as fans and I'm afraid even if we get one there will be complaints
one way to add the cut levels might be. get picked up from cartographer, get (shot down, emp, or pick up friendly iff signal) over city. clear it, then get swarmed by the flood and have to exit/escape through forest w/ boss fight
Because of this, if a remake is to be made, most of the things he mentioned I feel you better off just playing base Halo 3 if they dont make change that makes it significantly different from the base game. Resi 4 remake plays way different than original and you'll be satisfied with either. Granted I trust Capcom far more than 343.
Fire 343 bro don’t let them make a halo game again. Disband the entire studio and hire a completely new team with a completely new name. 343 name is too tainted
Combat Evolved doesn't need a remake, and Halo 3 doesn't need an anniversary. Not every game needs to be updated for the modern audience every 10 to 20 years.
We didn't *need* Halo 2 Anniversary either, but it was still incredible. And having the other 2 games already remastered on their 10th anniversaries makes H3A feel like a missing piece of the triforce. Plus, remakes, particularly well-made ones do a lot to rekindle the popularity of a fading franchise, which Halo very much is at the moment.

The only complaint I have about H3 is that I think we get Cortana back way too late in the game. And the graphics don’t really need to be updated in my opinion, because art style is much more important than it looking realistic. I think H3 and reach are perfect examples of this.
@@sandwichdude97 It's more so that the time and resources invested into remakes could be better served in creating new experiences that expand the Halo universe. We don't need to revisit stopping the Covenant from activating a ring.

Halo 3 multiplayer is my entire teenagehood. It cannot be improved upon (besides modern day forge capabilities). Sold the Xbox consoles without the hard drive because those clips are so nostalgic and I want to be able to review them when I’m older. Singlehaloclips hosted a lot of my clips back in the day and now they are all deleted/lost forever except for being on the drives I saved. I love Halo 3 and all the joy it’s given me over the years, never owned any other video games besides Halo.
You have remember as much as Halo 2 is applauded now. There was major complaints much like with Halo 5 of having to play as the "aliens" and not enough Chief. Funny how time can change things. This is why Arbiter too a back seat.
H3 honestly just needs mouth movement to match its words. That could probably be done in a mod (idk why it hasnt been yet). If there were a faithful remaster.. models could use an update (like Johnsons eye lids) Lighting across the board (without removing bloom) Some textures could use a lift (like stretchy model textures). Most animations are fine due to them being Halo styled. But some may be redone. Generally more of the world. More debris, physics, view distance, grass, clouds, effects, blood, electricity, smoke, wetness, etc. Just keep the vibe in tact.. if there is a green fog. Keep it green and foggy. If there is a super bright explosion and the player can barely see, keep it to where the player can barely see. If a room is grimey, keep the same grime. Just IMO.
But HiddenXperia, didn’t you know it’s Heresy to be even vaguely excited or optimistic for anything 343 makes? We need to give you the Brand of Shame. What’s next, you think the Halo 2 Anniversary Cutscenes are better then the glorious and amazing OG Halo 2 Cutscenes! Halo 3 Anniversary will be D0gsh!t!!! I bet they will change 343 Guilty Spark to saying “You are not Forerunner, a stupid walrus thing Franky o Connor wrote about!” Except the difference here is that 343 is not guilty for the pain they put us through.
I guess is an unpopular opinion, but I actually like the line “to war”, it feels kinda solemn to me. They could just immediately follow that cutscene ending… with her giving an actual rally point from where she’s standing or something like that
another complaint from me is that some of the weapons feel piddly regards to how they impact the enemy in campaign and that's largely because they had to be the same damage model in multi. One of the few things of Halo Infinite that was done for the benefit of gameplay was to treat the weapons differently between single and multi. Getting rid of those bloody unskippable interrupting flashes of Cortana and the Gravemind is surely a most important aspect to correct Also distant enemy both foot and vehicle do nothing upon seeing you. The desert level where you are on choppers or Warthog, you can bascially take all three of the Wraithes out from afar with cannon or your Chopper cannon and there is nothing to stop this cheap move. Same with the foot enemy here. The AI was programmed this way and it's a badly tested area frankly
Yeah I bet it's hard for all halo content creators rn, hopefully It can recover at some point though. Sadly I doubt Microsoft will let somebody else make a unique halo game for once
The franchise isn't hellbent, the developers that are holding it hostage despite a very well documented track record of hating every single aspect of what makes Halo so beloved and hating anything related to Bungie's development style and philosophies. You're technically not wrong but I don't fault Halo as a franchise in some way like saying it lacks potential for longevity but rather that 343 hates Halo and yet somehow has been allowed to run free with it for over a decade.
@@YuYuYuna_ as much as people "may" like H4 and 5 the problem with the franchise is that they exist... It's like the old Xmen movies. People liked them but the truth is it didn't really feel like authentic xmen films so they hard rebooted everything with Xmen first class and Days of future past. Halo needs something similar where a company that is passionate about Halo the way old Bungie was needs to take over (many modern modders come to mind as examples), where they just totally reboot Halo 4 5 and 6 to be completely different games!! Meaning no requiem, no didact, no librarian, no covenant remnant, no enemy elites, not Spartan locke, none of it exists.. and start again with the end of Halo 3 with elites and nearly extinct humans encountering the Banished (no elite enemies this time) . And go from there.
The sound effects is what I dislike the most about about the 343 games. They put so much effort into making them sound either futuristic, realistic or alien that they became incredibly generic compared to the rest of the scifi genre. Beam Rifle doesn't sound like a covenant Beam Rifle, it sounds like GenericAlienGun#21 and the Warthog doesn't sound like a Warthog, it sounds like GenericDieselTruck#2. Infinite especially just completely nuked any _"iconic"_ sound effects for weapons and vehicles, every UNSC gun sounds the same and so does the warthog and mongoose.
I would prefer Halo CE, 2, 3, ODST, and Reach be Remastered with Unreal Engine 5. After that, I would want 343 to “restart” Halo’s story by redoing the stories for Halo 4, 5, and Infinite by using the plans that Bungie originally had for Halo 4.
It'll happen eventually but 343 just aren't in a position to do it right now. It's also a bit too early. If they're doing what I think they're doing, they're going to remake the entirety of the original Bungie games, whilst developing new games. Like what Capcom are doing with Resident evil. But they first remake is a way off, so they're not getting to Halo 3 anniversary/Remake anytime soon.
As long as Blur does the cutscenes and they're better meshed with the game, I would be satisfied. That and the greater sound range that Halo Reach has.
As cool as all this would be. The most we will ever get is an appreciation post on social media and maybe a playlist in Infinite’s multiplayer if we’re lucky
Remake the campaign as it is, but once you’ve beaten the campaign it should unlock a “lost missions” menu tab where they full on make the original cut levels so we can play through them. This way they don’t have to try and change the story or potentially interrupt the flow of the game.
I actually really like the current Cortana and would like it to be kept, am I crazy? perhaps? I do play escape from tarkov so you be judge (this is probably why I like Cortana as it is).

I don’t necessarily agree that earth was too long, just that the rest was too short. Halo 3s Campaign was just too short and could have been double the length.
Especially considering the length of Halo 2.

Not to mention, all of ODST’s missions were on Earth, which was to make up for the lack of missions in Halo 2.
It's only too long because nothing really happens until the Portal activates, and then when we finally get to the Ark, this interesting conglomeration point of the Forerunners' war against the Flood, we don't really do anything there apart from chasing down Truth across two levels.
Halo 2 in general is short

That line is perfect and should never be replaced 😅
Halo 3 has so many more issues than a cringe Miranda line and you know that lol

Yes! Beat me to it. 😅
This. Absolutely this. You could even work it into the other Elites as well for coop campaign.

Then have Miranda give actual orders after.

Side missions with the Arbiter & Shipmaster as well as a redone Cortana level with a lot of the cut content would be awesome additions if done right.
Legitimately have never heard of anyone complaining about "too war" being a line. Now the fact that she says it, then turns around and puts her magnum away immediately following the end of the cutscene is a different story

(Basically replace the fuel rod with Kashiera's halo 3 combat evolved fuel rod.)
Then replace some of the skins for the marines to have the CE marine look like how ultimate firefight sandtrap has.
At the end of the day, the best addition to an already nearly perfect game such as Halo 3 is to just add a Skirmish/firefight mode where you can play as whatever ai you want, forge the ai, etc and give us Blur cutscenes.
A few other weapon adjustments would be nice as well. The AR and shotgun were disappointing. On top of that, dual-welding is just useless in Halo 3.

@@noddy1973 absolutely!!!! That would've been awesome to see on the Storm, Floodgate, and the Ark for sure

I was all excited for 4...even pre-ordered it, like odst & reach
Buut I really only ran through the campaign for 4, 'cause the way they changed the multiplayer map making style, was a huge turn off for me...really even for at least ½ the reach maps too
I understand wanting to discourage camping, 'cause that's just bum playing
...buut as a dedicated swat player, having some areas where the number of angles of attack are reduced (occasional hallways, for example) just made for good gameplay...even though I was solely run & gun style ('cause, to play swat any other way is just a sin) it's still nice to have times when you can't be shot from absolutely every direction, as well as elevation
MCC would be broken by adding Halo 5 because it's like around 100GB, and MCC already has too many engines for it to function with its 119.2GB size.

It’s such a masterpiece that I’d say the only thing it really needs is a graphical overhaul, updated forge, and throw in firefight. Beyond that I really can’t thing of much else it needs, it’s near perfect.
This is the remaster/remake we need, with gorgeous photoreal blur studios cutscenes.
Those cutscenes are Precursor tier to this very day. Can you imagine what they could cook up now?!

I think ur onto something. Good idea tho 👍

There's nothing stopping modders from doing a proper H3:A, and right on top of the original game too.
There’s been attempts, but with the MCC modding tools and level file structure. It’s hard to “add” levels in a sequence since each game has a set amount of levels. They’d have to remake each level by hand and if wanted to tell the story with the cut levels and content the remake mod would have to probably be split into two.
@@Ahhkiba It's not impossible with some effort. I've seen crazy work from other modders.

Have Blur remake the cutscenes and I'll be satisfied.

I wouldn't call perfect a multiplayer that has the drop shield - armor lock's older brother). It certainly needs a bit of tuning.
Your right. They just need to be updated and optimized
No project ever NEEDS to be done. It’s more often than not a Why Not that drives the decisions.
Lmao halo 3 does NOT hold up graphically
Halo and Resident evil are my favorite video game series and seeing both in this video makes me happy
"Ma'am! We entered "Towar" into the navcomputer, she's not returnin' any results! Did you mean 'Tueher France' ma'am?!"
France exists in Halo I didn't know that
@@ClintonBeaver-dc4mj All of Earth exists in Halo, and real human history even up to now (other than the changes like the Ancient Humans and Forerunners and all that) is cannon in Halo. So, you and I are cannon in Halo.
@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem so there is no time line I'm in that France doesn't exist
@ClintonBeaver-dc4mj It's eternal, and will follow you everywhere.
The only complaint I have about H3 is that I think we get Cortana back way too late in the game. And the graphics don’t really need to be updated in my opinion, because art style is much more important than it looking realistic. I think H3 and reach are perfect examples of this.
I don't want any more Halo remakes. The games were fine the way they were
If you don’t want them then you could just… not play them when they come out?
@@sandwichdude97 It's more so that the time and resources invested into remakes could be better served in creating new experiences that expand the Halo universe. We don't need to revisit stopping the Covenant from activating a ring.
I used to watch your videos driving home from work on a Friday. Seeing you pop up on a Sunday night a downer. I’ll be back in 5 days.

I just thought the title was funny
Halo 3 multiplayer is my entire teenagehood. It cannot be improved upon (besides modern day forge capabilities). I still have an insane amount of hard drives with hundreds maybe thousands of montage clips.
Where did 1:42 image from
You have remember as much as Halo 2 is applauded now. There was major complaints much like with Halo 5 of having to play as the "aliens" and not enough Chief. Funny how time can change things. This is why Arbiter too a back seat.
18:21 Wtf am I looking at?
They could just immediately follow that cutscene ending… with her giving an actual rally point from where she’s standing or something like that
campaign blur cutscenes now!
I would remove the bits where when either Cortana air Gravemind speak and it slows you down for literally no reason
another complaint from me is that some of the weapons feel piddly regards to how they impact the enemy in campaign and that's largely because they had to be the same damage model in multi. One of the few things of Halo Infinite that was done for the benefit of gameplay was to treat the weapons differently between single and multi. Getting rid of those bloody unskippable interrupting flashes of Cortana and the Gravemind is surely a most important aspect to correct
Also distant enemy both foot and vehicle do nothing upon seeing you. The desert level where you are on choppers or Warthog, you can bascially take all three of the Wraithes out from afar with cannon or your Chopper cannon and there is nothing to stop this cheap move. Same with the foot enemy here. The AI was programmed this way and it's a badly tested area frankly
I'm so sorry man. it must really suck to rely on a dying franchise that's hellbent on killing itself
Yeah I bet it's hard for all halo content creators rn, hopefully It can recover at some point though. Sadly I doubt Microsoft will let somebody else make a unique halo game for once
Lol
0:01 Turok Evolution's getting remastered!?!? Why wasn't I informed?
Did you miss the Half Life 3 announcement too?
@@thenerd173 I can't find any announcement.
@@southpaw117
The cover art was in the video right after Turok Evolution. Surely that must mean it's happening!?
@@thenerd173 It's clear to me now that your initial post went right over my head.
Again, the copium. It's sad to see. Just move on and stop getting hyped. This kind of speculation will inevitably lead to disappointment.
Let people be happy for their game bro damn
It'll happen eventually but 343 just aren't in a position to do it right now. It's also a bit too early. If they're doing what I think they're doing, they're going to remake the entirety of the original Bungie games, whilst developing new games. Like what Capcom are doing with Resident evil. But they first remake is a way off, so they're not getting to Halo 3 anniversary/Remake anytime soon.
Negative nancy
@@Genesis_Prime more like based in reality Richard
@@GabeT04 that’s the issue, when it comes to halo we have to be happy about a game that isn’t even almost confirmed.
As long as Blur does the cutscenes and they're better meshed with the game, I would be satisfied. That and the greater sound range that Halo Reach has.
343i are sick in the head making us suffer on copium months on end
As cool as all this would be. The most we will ever get is an appreciation post on social media and maybe a playlist in Infinite’s multiplayer if we’re lucky
second
@HiddenXperia if you have contact with the devs over at 343 tell them to remaster Halo 3 ASAP!!
I just want Blur cutscenes. That is the only thing I want out of a remake. I don't trust 343 and Microsoft not to bastardize it.
"...where should they go?"
"To Voi."
Recon team determines rally points.
Remake the campaign as it is, but once you’ve beaten the campaign it should unlock a “lost missions” menu tab where they full on make the original cut levels so we can play through them. This way they don’t have to try and change the story or potentially interrupt the flow of the game.
In a perfect world, they'd have an option to either play the original levels (remade of course) or add in the cut levels.
I actually really like the current Cortana and would like it to be kept, am I crazy? perhaps? I do play escape from tarkov so you be judge (this is probably why I like Cortana as it is).
